RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What went wrong with the process?
I hired Skyfire Advertising on 4/3/2020 to complete a project blogs within (1) months timeframe. They were supposed to provide 2 blogs/week for 31 days resulting in the 8 blogs in total. At the beginning the articles were slow to come out, missing deadlines right away (will list dates of blogs being sent to me below). I had to reach out to the company to ask where the blogs were, only to be told things such as they were busy with school, had other projects, etc.
I was being flexible with them and had went back to waiting for completion of each blog, as I understand it can be hard balancing school and work. We kept in communication and they actually delivered a handful of blogs at once, which was nice to see they had made an ample amount of progress, but still were missing deadlines. Timeline: Hire Date: 4/3/2020 (2 blogs/week) Blog 1 - 4/9/2020 @ 1:51pm (Due by 4/10 - On Schedule) Blog 2 - 4/24/2020 @ 5:02pm (Due by 4/10 - 14 days late) Blog 3 - 4/26/2020 @ 11:22pm (Due by 4/17 - 9 days late) Blog 4 - 4/26/2020 @ 11:22pm (Due by 4/17 - 9 days late) Blog 5 - 4/26/2020 @ 11:22pm (Due by 4/24 - 2 days late) Blog 6 - 5/31/2020 @ 7:41pm (Due by 4/24 - 37 days late) Blog 7 - 5/31/2020 @ 7:41pm (Due by 4/31 - 30 days late) Blog 8 - NO DELIVERY We are now at Day 69, which is 38 days past the deadline of the final blog delivery.
I only have 7 blogs and have yet to see an 8th. I have been reaching out to the company for two weeks now to ask about my missing content from the blog project. Zack was in charge of the 6th & 7th blog, while Gabe was in charge of the 8th blog. Gabe told me on 5/20 that the "8th blog" was done and that he is waiting on Zack to send over 6 & 7. I asked him to send me the "8th blog" so I could post it, but I never got anything sent over. I then reached out 5/27 asking about all 3 remaining blogs, with no reply.
I reached out again on 5/29 and got this reply "Hey Chris, the three blogs are done I’ve asked Zack to put them on your site for you a few times and I’m not sure what’s going on or why they aren’t posted to be completely honest with you." - Gabe Days later and I still have not seen them, so I reached out to both partners again on 5/2 got a reply on 5/3 saying.... "Hey Chris yes I have the third blog it will be up soon" - Gabe Days later... no blog I sent them both an email stating that they have missed the deadlined and that I would like to have my unfinished blog refunded or sent to me within one day.
I got a response back saying... "The 8th blog will be posted to your site by the end of the day on Wednesday, June 10th, 2020 by 11:59pm" It is now June 11th, 2020 @ 8:17pm, while I am taking my time to write this because I have not received my "finished" blog that was supposedly done 22 days ago....
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
