Our clients would ask us for help in areas in which we weren't experts so we wanted to bring on a partner. We were searching for someone we could trust to deliver high-quality work and understand our needs.

After meeting with numerous vendors and not finding what we were looking for, we met with Skkepper. We reviewed their portfolio, met them in person, and did a small proof of concept with them.

The project’s scope encompassed web design, development, and deployment. After discussing the project details with them they performed thorough research into our client’s business. This investigation produced a detailed document that highlighted functional and non-functional requirements, technology stack options, project modules, and a timeline and phase breakdown. They also included their own suggestions and recommendations. Additionally, they anticipated our client’s questions and provided detailed answers that covered all sections of the project.

Our main point of contact was a project manager who led a team of three developers and designers.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

They worked closely with us, understood the requirements, and delivered to the highest standards. Our customers have loved the features they suggested and implemented, like a responsive remote assistant in the management console.

We had weekly project calls to go over their progress. Afterward, the project manager would promptly share meeting minutes with all stakeholders to keep them informed. Skkepper raised any potential risks ahead of time, along with their plan to mitigate them.

Their team first created templates with responsive designs. Using that foundation, their team created the e-commerce site using Woocommerce and Wordpress. Then, they integrated the shop with two other Wordpress websites, which allowed existing users to order products without having to log in again. We wanted a fast, stable solution that would allow event organizers to view galleries and information about various venues before renting them and users to easily search and book tickets for both ongoing and upcoming shows. In addition, we wanted the website to reflect the entertainment industry our client was promoting.

How did you select this vendor?

We regularly receive projects that we do not have the in-house resources to complete. We used to outsource that work to different people but were having difficulty finding the right fit in terms of service; I was desperate to find someone. After a friend recommended Skkepper, we reviewed their portfolio, conducted a phone interview, and tried them out for several smaller pr ojects. The main challenge we faced with other providers was the difference in output from what was initially discussed; Skkepper handled this very well.

We shared the brief with the Skkepper team and they requested a follow-up call to review the details at length. We then received an in-depth document that divided the project into phases and outlined every module with timelines. This was useful in obtaining approval from our client and finalizing the scope of work, which included web design, development, QA, and deployment.

The team was composed of four to five designers, developers, and testers, but we only interacted directly with the project manager.

Skkepper’s suggested custom framework allowed for a more seamless integration of third-party tools and offered us more flexibility. They also categorized show listings by genre, making it simple for customers to find their preferences.

Skkepper provided regular updates and addressed change requests swiftly; we rarely had to follow up on items.

In a rush to work and take our money, other vendors missed a lot; Skkepper, however, devoted quite a lot of time to understanding the project.

The team visited our center to see the work we do and understand the organization more fully. We engaged in a number of meetings and brainstorming sessions to figure out the details and the specifications for this project. Based on those discussions, Skkepper provided 3 mock-ups for our website. We held a few more meetings to agree on a design that suited our requirements, and the final format was then confirmed. Their team then managed all aspects of development. They currently provide ongoing support and updates as needed.

We had an initial meeting with a project manager from Skkepper to convey our needs and goals. From there, we had two developers assigned to our project.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Since the launch of the website, our center has definitely become more accessible. Even after only a few months post-launch, there has been a significant increase in the number of inquiries we receive. Before the website we relied solely on word-of-mouth, but thanks to the Skkepper team, we now have a website that explains our hard work and purpose.
