Please describe your organization.
Innovative Health Connections owns and operates a website called Skin Doctor Online which is a teledermatology platform offering online dermatology consults within 48 hours for patients that pay privately.
What is your position?
I’m the president.
What business challenge were you trying to address with SiteRocket Labs?
SiteRocket is one of the few firms that offer this level of sophistication in programming.
We have a fairly in-depth need for a backend secure system that allows us to store medical records on the cloud and being interactive with patients that are outside of that security window. We have to have seamless operation and functionality of a HIPAA secure platform.
Please describe the scope of their involvement in greater detail.
We had a broad outline of what we wanted and we hired them on during the design phase. We relied very heavily on the guidance and advice of David Emerson. He took the reins and coached us to help us establish what we needed from a technical standpoint. We developed the framework of the platform with David from a usability standpoint but also addressed all the security and functional issues we had. We explained everything and they came back to us with a proposal. We had demos that we tested and then when we finalized and approved what we wanted, they built it for us. It was almost exactly what we had designed in the first place. The platform was built in Laravel. It was decided that was the best way to give us what we wanted and allow us flexibility to grow. There will be third-party integrations in phase 2 but there are none now.
How did you come to work with SiteRocket Labs?
They were a referral from someone we know. We had sourced out 4 agencies and we found that 2 of them were struggling to explain how they have the expertise and experience to build the platform. SiteRocket had experience in the area of medical records and Laravel. David put an extra effort into understanding what we were looking for and asked good questions to learn more. They offered different solutions to improve our ideas before we even started working with them.
Could you provide a sense of the size of this initiative in financial terms?
We have spent a total of over $100,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with them in February 2016 and the work is ongoing.
Could you share any statistics or metrics from this engagement?
We just launched the site publicly in December so there are no metrics yet. SiteRocket delivered on every one of our priorities for the project.
How did SiteRocket Labs perform from a project management standpoint?
David is our project manager and the sub-manager is Liat and both of them are great.David has a very vast understanding of what it is you’re looking for on a microlevel and is able to deliver quickly. They’re friendly and professional. David is one of the more earnest, hardworking guys I know. He’s always eager to please and deliver exactly what we want.
What distinguishes SiteRocket Labs from other providers?
We see them as a true partner who understands where we’re going and are actively helping us to get there.
Is there anything SiteRocket Labs could have improved or done differently?
Nothing comes to mind. It’s one of the better partnerships we’ve had from a project standpoint.

Please describe your organization and your role there.
Re-Rentals.com is a B2B site connecting equipment dealers in the heavy equipment construction industry with rental companies who re-rent the equipment to their customers.
As VP of Business Development, it is my responsibility to cultivate a client base by selling our business concept to equipment dealers, and to design and implement a marketing and advertising campaign to demonstrate our value to equipment rental companies.
What business challenge were you trying to address with SiteRocket Labs?
We had been working with another team of developers and we realized they couldn’t meet our needs.
Please describe the scope of their involvement in greater detail.
They are responsible for helping us onboard dealer inventory and for all the logistics involved in the technology. They have made it extremely easy for us to run this business because we can count on them to take care of that part. They make sure the code and data are accurate.
How did you come to work with SiteRocket Labs?
Our founder and CEO was looking for a Laravel specialist and David’s name came up in our research. We were impressed with David and his team and have learned a lot from them.
What is the status of this engagement?
We began working with them in September 2016 and the work is ongoing.
Could you share any statistics or metrics from this engagement?
Since we recently emerged from the beta phase, We don’t have any results yet. We would not be ready for our spring effort without SiteRocket’s work.
How did SiteRocket Labs perform from a project management standpoint?
They did an excellent job. I am impressed with their talent and work ethic, especially as compared to the quality of the team we had previously worked with. They are a very conscientious. They don’t miss a deadline or meeting. They’re very communicative and they’re great at managing their own internal team even though we have multiple things happening at the same time with our project.

We’re an international company that provides a social network for moms to connect locally for friendship and support. Our site is available as a desktop web app, iOS, and Android app.
What is your position?
I’m the CEO.
What business challenge were you trying to address with SiteRocket Labs?
We were looking to find a company that could sustain our web app and work in partnership with our mobile app developer to integrate our new iOS and Android app with our web app via an API.
Please describe the scope of their involvement in greater detail.
They built out an API that connected our web app. Our iOS and Android app had a whole different user experience which included new features. They made our web app sync with that. There was a lot of integration, troubleshooting, testing and communication with our mobile app developer.
They also made sure everything was secure. They used Laravel for the web application.
How did you come to work with SiteRocket Labs?
We were searching on Google for a company that could handle Laravel work and also we wanted a sophisticated company that would be able to secure our data. We brought in a third party to review their code and make sure they would be able to handle the project on the backend.
Could you provide a sense of the size of this initiative in financial terms?
We spent a total of $100,000 with them.
What is the status of this engagement?
We began working with them in January 2016 and the project was completed in the fall.
Could you share any statistics or metrics from this engagement?
We’ve gotten great feedback on the performance of the web app. A lot of the feedback has been on the UI but also how it performs which I believe is attributed to SiteRocket.
There were bugs with the mobile developer’s work but the solid performance is due to the integration work that SiteRocket did through the API. Our user numbers are starting to scale up but we’re just starting to track the results.
How did SiteRocket Labs perform from a project management standpoint?
They were very proactive and were aware of our budget constraints. When we had an idea, they would give suggestions to save us money.
What distinguishes SiteRocket Labs from other providers?
I feel secure with them. Our site is much stronger because of them. We feel like they’re a true partner.
Is there anything SiteRocket Labs could have improved or done differently?
No, they did everything right.
SiteRocket Labs' project management and investment in their client's project and goals made for a strong partnership.
