Our work has become more organized. Everything is stored in our secure server. Because everything is in one service, I can receive information in a few clicks. Our employees spend less time on telephone calls and more time on online work.

Their team is full of great programmers. Our system administrator told me that all of the code was clean, and he understood everything they were doing. They even gave us free security services for one year.

We had a couple of meetings. SiteGuarding CY Ltd. checked our website and found some problems in the code. They provided us with 24/7 protection. We also had a lot of spam, and they helped us with that. They changed some things on the website to make it quicker and work in the right way.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

When we first started working with them, they found a few bugs. This was the reason we decided to work with them. Some of our users were cheating, and we wanted to understand how they did it. 

SiteGuarding CY Ltd. spends several hours checking everything and then sends out the reports. If we have some problems, we fix them. It’s great. Everything works the way we want it to. We’re happy with their services.

We use Jira and work in two-week sprints. When we release a new update, it takes 2–3 days for them to check everything. We’re happy with their project management.

What did you find most impressive about them?

If we were to hire a full-time employee, it would cost us so much more. With SiteGuarding CY Ltd., they work a few hours per month for us, and the price is good for us.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I’d appreciate it if they added some tools that work automatically without a person’s intervention. That way, everything would be checked automatically, and if something goes wrong, a person will double-check it. Right now, everything is done manually.

I’m the CEO of Egroup Services Ltd. We offer web design, development, and information security services. We conduct penetration testing on ethical hacking.

We have a number of projects which we don’t have time to deliver on or we don’t have the right expertise. So, we outsource some of our projects to their team.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They’ve worked on a number of projects for us, and we often reach out to them for e-commerce projects. One in particular, was an e-commerce website for wine. We weren’t familiar with their CMS, so CiteGuarding CY Ltd. created an independent payment gateway. If we need an API for payment gateways for PayPal, they’ll do it for us. Another project was to create an online application for 3D models of naval ships and architectural designs for ships. It was a very complex project.

I always speak directly to Dmitry (CEO, SiteGuarding CY Ltd.), and there are 4–5 other people who we talk to about development.

I met Dmitry at an information security presentation. During the break, we talked and he had a lot of interesting things to say. We had a follow-up meeting, and that’s when we began working together.

We began working together in January 2019, but even earlier than that, we’ve collaborated with some of their partners independently. Our partnership is ongoing.

They’ve done an excellent job—they’re professional and reliable. Our clients are always happy, so we’re happy. I’ve tested their work a few times too, and it’s always solid. They have a lot of experience and know their job. I’m familiar with the tech, and so are they, so we know they’re delivering quality work for our client.  

How did SiteGuarding CY Ltd. perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management is super; it’s way better than we expected. We’ve worked with other freelancers in the past and have found them to be unreliable. SiteGuarding CY Ltd. blows them out of the water. We contact them via Skype, and they’re always available.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m impressed by their reliability and delivery timeframe. If I Skype them at 11 pm or 7 am, they’ll reply. It’s amazing.

There is a bit of a language barrier. If they’re going to work internationally, they need to have stronger English skills.

Give them precise, technical information. They’re very logical and will do exactly what you write to them, so the project needs to be very well documented.

We had 2–3 applications that were working very slowly, and we needed to find out why. I was searching for a company to find the problem.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They found the reason why my applications were working slowly.  There were two problems. It was because of some understandable, malicious code, and there were also problems with the backend code.  After finding the problem, they fixed the code. (The applications work on PHP and PostgreSQL.)

Now, they continue to monitor my applications and server resources.
