Sitech was approached to work on the Doroob Phase-1 system in order to achieve the following key technical objectives:
- Support 10x increase the number of users,
- update all S/W frameworks,
- significant rework the infrastructure to handle significant increase of load,
- migrate from AWS to a government data center facility,
- and add new learning programs.

Technical Solution Summary
As part of the Saudi National Law on Data and User Protection, SiTech moved all of Doroob’s services from the cloud to a government data center facility.
Our team migrated Doroob Open edX® platform from Amazon cloud (AWS) to an on-premise data center. The architecture is designed to provide high availability and withstand load coming from thousands of students browsing media-rich courses. SITech implemented a containerized application structure orchestrated with Kubernetes. Application servers were behind firewalls into private VLANs and are continuously monitored by logging and management servers.
The platform also integrates with several governmental endpoints and provides reports and analytics dashboards to Doroob’s administration team.

Agriculture sales is going through a transformation, the supply chain process with all the complexities and additional burden of middleman costs is hindering the process of sales. More importantly, the need for high transparency between buyers and sellers (farmers and consumers) needs to be redesigned.

Foah partnered with Sitech to design, build, and deploy a fully functional real-time auction marketplace that connects suppliers, sellers, and consumers around the world - in compliance with all the best practices and standards expected in a world class e-commerce digital experience.
Building the World's Leading Dates eCommerce Marketplace
According to WCAG 2.0 standards and best practices; Sitech designed, built, and deployed a complete online real-time auction market place to help farmers and sellers connect and transact in a seamless and fully transparent mechanism.
The platform allows for farmers (sellers) to register and create auctions based on lots they have harvested during the high or low seasons. The auction variables are configurable to allow for multi day auction spans with direct buy out options. Moreover, the platform has a full credit card payment integration with buyer trust levels for leveraged auction amounts.
The platform holds a sophisticated wallet and internal accounting system to help track money movement including escrow processes.

First, we had a call with Cloud Lead and Cloud Architect to present our needs and our design. They studied and came back with a plan and recommendations.
Second, we started with Azure implementation for a client: They set-up the system, CI/CD, performed load testing, security checks and are currently in charge of the ops. Third: We setup our own development, testing & staging and production on AWS.

I'm the Founder of Banki App, we’re building banking and credit solutions for the 40+ million underbanked freelancers, creators, gig-workers, and self-employed professionals in the Arab world. We will empower them with financial services designed for their needs. Including Debit Cards, Credit Cards, Invoice Financing, and more, all done from a single mobile app.

Our app provides digital banking and financing solutions for freelancers in the Arab world. Sitech is building the abstractions of our main features (Transactions, Virtual Cards, Credit Scoring Engine, UI/UX) which will be built on top of our Banking as a Service (BaaS) provider that has a banking license in Jordan.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

After the kick-off meeting, Sitech decided to primarily write code in Python for our backend using Django Rest Framework. The mobile app that users run, is written in Dart language using Flutter framework. The dashboard is written in NodeJs and TypeScript using VueJs framework. We use Postgres as the main database server and Redis for caching and Async jobs (Background tasks).
We use Restful APIs over HTTPS for communication between services and apps. We host our infrastructure on AWS running a Kubernetes cluster with multiple micro-serves, databases, workers and network interfaces.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
A core team of 6 that consists of UI/UX designers, backend and frontend developers, product manager, and support team members that include QA officers.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Our first release is (Banki Line of Credit - Up to $5,000 approved in 24 hours) designed for freelancers, creators, self-employed business owners, and anyone who feels misunderstood by the traditional banking sector in Jordan. They use the credit line at their convenience. Just like a credit card but without the high fees.
The credit line is loaded into their account with us and can be used for all kinds of spending to grow your business - equipment, bill payments, e-commerce, paying suppliers who accept cards and subscriptions. They need to just send us a request to draw a certain amount with the details and we will transfer the amount to their Bank account after approval within 24 hours. Sitech helped us to build the MVP from scratch

We have a dedicated project manager that whom we have daily communication, in addition to asynchronous communication on Slack and weekly meetings since inception

After a product discovery session, we identified the ideal branding, messaging, and design needed for our MVP. During those sessions we also identified the key features needed at launch. Sitech also helped us identify the ideal tech stack required for the MVP to be successful at launch and continue to provide ongoing support and updates for Sanaam to be a success.
The software development and design sprints were planned accordingly. Testing and quality assurance took place after each sprint ended to ensure all features were launched as needed.

A team of 5 were dedicated to the project. This included a project manager, UI/UX designer, front-end and back-end developers, and a DevOps specialist.

We wanted to change how we offer our reporting from an old fashioned quarterly offline reports to a SAAS offering with instant reporting and realtime reporting. The next gen platform was the natural evolution of our offering and would allow us to quickly and more easily onboard new customers and cater for new market segments and geographies.

Sitech came highly recommended to us. We had a couple of meetings, and they were a good fit for our needs. They understood what we wanted to achieve and laid out the resources we needed. From there, we initiated operations.

Sitech helped us choose the right technology stack, set up the right infrastructure on AWS and provided continuous support on the product, system flow and create the correct business value.

The senior management were involved during the project lifetime, they ensured that we built the right modules and functionalities. The core team that were involved consisted of software engineers, QA engineers, and software architects and Devops. As the project progressed and we had to respond to changes - Sitech augmented the project team promptly.

Sitech managed to understand our industry and the way we do our work very quickly. They gained tremendous knowledge in the pharma analytics space faster than expected and released the first MVP during the first 5 months of our engagement.

Sitech provided various channels of communication including Slack, shared documents, emails, phone, and even whatsapp. They made communication and accessibility as convenient as possible.

I don’t have much constructive feedback for them. I know that some of the challenges occurred because we didn’t have time to focus on this project as much as they needed us to.
