Please describe your company and your position there.

Debunk Media is a pioneer in digital media in Africa. We bring together journalists, data scientists, filmmakers, illustrators and animators through the art of storytelling to make sense of issues that affect us all.

For what projects/services did your company hire SINO SOFT?

Sino soft came through in the website reconfiguration and security support for our website. Our website was completely taken down and redesigned from scratch to a great extent.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We had a call for proposals. After assessing our needs and budget, we settled on Sino Soft due to their industry expertise and recommendations from other clients. They were strict with their time and how they delivered their work. Plus, the customer support was impressive.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

The first key stage was a client review of the website. I had my team assess what we are lacking and our pain points for the website.

Once we had given them our key issues; we sat down with them again to have a brainstorm of what exactly we need. They gave us their recommendations before we all agreed on a particular designed.

Once that was pit, we paid for the initial deposit as a sign of commitment and the work begun. After a couple of days, they had a mock up of our website and we got into a feedback loop, trying to tailor it to specific needs. I am glad to say we settled on one quite easily due to their quick turn around time.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We worked with two resources. We had a dedicated 24/7 coder on board, Richard, who worked tirelessly to incorporate our feedback. We also had the project manager, George to whomst ensured that everything run smoothly.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

While I am yet to check the analytics, I do know that our website has become more responsive. The security issue that we had has been completely solved and our Google ranking has also improved. Those who have used the website love the new design.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The project manager was one of the easiest people to work with. There were no false promises or postponements to scheduled calls. Feedback was implemented quickly and on time, and the support service was exceptional, even after the contract ended.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I was particularly impressed by their professionalism. Most of the time, in the IT world, promises are made but hardly kept. Deadlines are missed. Money is mis-accounted for. But I found Sino Soft very professional in their dealings and knowledgeable in their work. This was a particularly smooth working experience.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

They could probably offer more of their designs o the public as I found them quite revealing. But probably good things take time and thus to find them you have to really be willing to go the extra mile.
