We needed to subcontract a company to work on our customers' projects, which were mostly web and mobile development projects.

Silk Software House provides staff augmentation and development services. The team has mostly worked on web development projects using HTML, CSS, React, and Java. Silk Software House has also supported us in the development of a mobile application. We provide mock-ups of the software's UI/UX design, and the team provides an estimate for the development. Once we agree on the cost, Silk Software House will continue with development.
We work on a hybrid model depending on the project. For some projects, Silk Software House manages all the processes from beginning to end, and sometimes, the team offers additional team members for my company's in-house development.
What is the team composition?
We work with different teammates depending on the project. For some projects, we've worked with 10 teammates from Silk Software House; for others, we've worked with 3–4 team members. We've worked with senior backend developers, testers, and project managers. Currently, we work with 2–3 teammates, and we have worked with different people in the past.

Very good project management. I felt that they are having everything under control. We have good contact in terms of understanding each other or maybe I should say that they understand my objectives very well. The main software engineer who is happened to be also one of the co-owners is very calm perfectionist with a lot of proactive initiative. He sees the big picture and takes care of every detail. I'm sticking with this guy forever :)

What challenge were you trying to address with Silk Software House?
We were looking for a vendor to develop a website for our agency and this project quickly evolved into an idea of an internal communication and knowledge sharing platform enriched with a gamification system. The challenge was to bring this vision to life.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Generally—we presented our vision and they did the rest, starting from very detailed UX workshops, through all programming work, to maintenance and support. The project is ongoing and we develop new functions. Last month we added new functionality that automates a whole system of developing knowledge in our organization, from signing up for internal and external trainings, workshops, conferences, etc., though evaluating trainers, planning employees development, to reporting results.

We mostly work through a project manager, but there is a larger team working on our project.
How did you come to work with Silk Software House?
We started with a pitch. We interviewed about 10 different companies, and we decided Silk Software House was definitely the best in terms of understanding our needs and our vision, and we got on very well from the start – they were very open-minded and genuinely interested in our project. The platform quickly became the center of information and our main internal communication tool, with over 700 users (and plans to launch in other agencies within our Group so the number of users will exceed 1500).

Very well, our last project was extremely demanding and complicated, but they made it a lot easier thanks to good organization and communication.
