A complex technology ecosystem was developed to translate the enormous customer potential of the auto spare parts industry into the digital space. In addition to revamping the core website, Shopdev implemented custom middleware to create a fully automated, updated and managed product catalog,minimizing the need for manual intervention.
The developed search engine allows users to browse through millions of products efficiently. Every search event triggers the activity of going through records to construct a result set unique to the searched query, which is then rendered on a search results page.
Autofixa is now defined by its highly intuitive search experience that relies on user’s VRM (Vehicle Registration Mark/Number) to identify the customer’s exact vehicle Make-Model and provides a free text search field, where the user can input an exact search

Digital transformation to enhance Sales Effectiveness
Shopdev’s in-house product OBTech was leveraged to create an assisted commerce platform that enhanced sales effectiveness, streamlined supply chain management and promoted on-the-ground marketing and sales. The platform provided an advanced and robust solution for data consolidation, security, and system transparency, while facilitating transactions through a relationship based sales model.
The Bayer OBTech ecosystem comprised of several mobile applications, each catering to a specific user type, including:
Affiliates: who primarily used the application to place
orders on behalf of rural farmers.
Dealers: who used the application to process orders.
Farmers: who validated the authenticity of the products they purchase.
Google cloud platform was used to host the applications,with all the communication facilitated through a secure public API, ensuring easy integration of OBTech with the API based platform.
The solution offered affiliates the ability to view order history, fulfill orders, potential incentives and earn incentives to gauge their performance on a daily basis.
In addition, a reporting dashboard was created for the Bayers’ management that allowed real-time monitoring of complete lifecycles, and gain key insights into the affiliate program.

We hired them to revamp/recreate our website. We've always prided ourselves in being innovators in our field; and so as part of that we decided create a platform that could customize all our products like never seen before in Pakistan.
Not only are they responsible for creating the website, but will also ensure constant upgrades/development in line with feedback. Leading the marketing strategy is also their realm.
How did you select Shopdev and what were the deciding factors?
We had been to most of the well known names in the industry, and had one bad experience after the other. So trust levels were low. The CEO of an e-commerce giant had very high praise for Mr. Ali Aziz, which is why I went to him initially.
Later, turned out he was very close to some of my family members, who too only had words of praise for him. I did some research on their past projects, and spent some time with the team to finally make up my mind. Wasn't hard to decide that I was going to go for Shopistan.

A very large team. We literally have a whatsapp group with 30 people. Starting from the CEO at the very top to the most junior UX designer, we've been in sync with all.

Time will tell. Our website just launched. We continue to work with them daily post client feedback. So far so good. Long way to go to achieve the larger than life ambitions that we have.

Project management was smooth. Unlike our experiences with other tech companies, they delivered what was committed on time.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
The 1 reason that I respect this organisation so much is that they don't lead you to a path which might be convenient for them to execute. I have seen their senior management actually tell off the juniors if they ever tried to take a short cut.
They acknowledge real problems, and do not misguide you even when they easily could.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
I think our project was unique. It was unlike anything Pakistan has seen before, and so there were lots of things both parties could have done better. However, it is easy to look at them in hindsight.

I’m the Business Development Manager for a translation company. We specialize in providing translation services for individuals, businesses and websites.
For what projects/services did your company hire Shopdev?
In addition to belonging to a niche market, our company is in a unique position because each potential client has a unique set of requirements. We needed a flexible Plugin based API to support all our clients translation needs.

We were seeking to build a custom software for Translation process Management

We came across Shopdev through one of our employees. Their professional presentation and company management had a large impact on our decision to work with them.
Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.
Shopdev worked with us to strategize, map out and develop the solution from scratch. The plugin allows permissions for not only our employees but our clients and vendor partners, so they get complete access to manage their content. It’s a dynamic platform that provides integrations for all the leading platforms.
What was the team composition?
We initially interfaced with a project manager who managed a team. There were quite a few working on the platform at any given time, but we eventually worked primarily worked with two developers and a QA analyst.
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?
We’re now have a much leaner team because the platform has automated many of our administrative processes. While we don’t have hard numbers at hand, but it has completely revamped our product and accounted for major company growth.
How was project management arranged and how effective was it?
They had a very streamlined approach to delivering such project. Their methods of communication and use of project management tools, like JIRA, ensured that everything worked smoothly. We’ve taken note of their communication processes and successfully implemented them in our own team, which was a major takeaway.

ShopDev was a strategic partner for Adstream. We worked with them on product strategy consulting projects as well as development of SaaS focused Video products

For product strategy, we wanted to know what our areas of improvement should be - both in terms of service quality as well as general product features.
How did you select this vendor?
Shopdev was selected on the basis of thier deep knowledge around building worldclass products for Fortune 500 companies. It is rare to have a technology shop that can do strategy and we needed them to provide us with a technology driven insight in to our roadmap versus just a commercial one.
Describe the project in detail.
Conduct mystery shopping on Adstream products and measure our service quality as well as general product features versus competitors and substitiutes in the market place. The project ran for 8 weeks and involved step by step measurement of sales cycles as well as product turnaround times and adherance to best in class standards.

The project was finished on time and within budget - and the quality of work was remarkable. We used the insights from the work done by Shopdev to fuel the progress of our product roadmap for the next 2 years.

ShopDev are very collaborative and effective - even though they were in a different timezone and working through the likes of skype and zoom.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
I was blown away by not just the technical and strategic depth of their understanding of products that work in the western market. They have a wide array of readily available skill sets on their bench and they are adept at cracking the hardest of projects.
Are there any areas for improvement?
They probably need a London office to reach more european customers
While the project has launched successfully, it is still too early for the company to get any data to determine its performance. The company, however, appreciated the team's smooth project management style, setting them apart from the competition by delivering their requirements on time.
