I'm the public relations director of the Building Industry Association of Clark County.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Shop?

I engaged Shop when we decided to launch a new website for our organization. We weren’t pleased with our existing website’s appearance or backend functionality, so we hoped Shop could help us improve that aspect of our association.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We relied on Shop to completely design and develop a new WordPress website with custom backend tools for content management. We have since remained engaged with Shop for the development of a new internal database to keep records and track statistics for each of our 700-some members.

What is the team composition?

I interact primarily with Erin (Creative Director, Shop).

What is the status of this engagement?

Our engagement began in June 2015 and remains ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Everything that I use the website for can now be done much faster because of the new backend tools. The website’s improvements have made all forms of content management more effortless.

How did Shop perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve always met our expectations. We’re fortunate enough to meet in person because they are local, and they’ve always been thorough in our scope meetings. When we are unable to meet face-to-face, we still accomplish a lot through phone calls and emails. Shop has always been on top of managing the project.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Erin features the ideal marriage of creative abilities and technical skills. He’s a well-rounded and talented person. Further, I feel that Shop is incredibly trustworthy. I’ve never felt like we’re getting an unfair deal.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I’ve had no concerns regarding our relationship with Shop.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Erin can help clients refine their vision, so don’t be afraid to engage them with just a few details. He succeeds in fleshing out ideas and making them the best they can be.

I am the buyer and manager of Active Water Sports. We are a reseller of boats, wakeboards, water skis, and other general action water sports equipment.

What challenge were you trying to address with Shop?

We hired Shop to build a custom e-commerce website for our business.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We worked with a different developer before finding Shop. That developer proved to be unsatisfactory, and we decided to scrap all of their progress as we opened our search for a new vendor. Once we brought Shop into the fold, they built a WordPress-based website from scratch that features various plugins and widgets. Everything that we sell in our pro shop is listed on the website through an integration with our POS system. Shop included custom page templates so that instead of linking to a brand’s page of products, we have brand landing pages that include a backstory, videos, and a new blog that Shop has created. Rounding out their services, Shop introduced us to Google Ads campaigns to further boost our online presence.

What is the team composition?

We primarily work with a developer, a project manager, a Google Ads specialist, and the principal of the firm.

How did you come to work with Shop?

Once we cut ties with our previous e-commerce developer, a representative from our banking partner recommended Shop.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent close to $50,000 to this point.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our engagement began in January 2018 and remains ongoing. They did such an excellent job for us on the website that we asked to enter into a retainer agreement with them so that they could manage our site.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Because of the new website and our new Google Ads campaigns, we have increased our online visibility and are now able to track how successful we are more accurately.

How did Shop perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve earned perfect marks in that regard. They do a fantastic job of keeping us updated on our results, and they are transparent when the outcomes are not as successful as we’d like.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’ve never come across as a company with so much work that they didn’t have time for us. If there is something that needs immediate attention, Shop has been very easy to get ahold of. They always follow through on their promises and timelines.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, they’ve been a terrific partner.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Give Shop the freedom to do what they do best. I’d recommend not trying to micromanage too much.
