Introduce your business and what you do there.

I'm the director of e-commerce at JG Edelen Co., Inc.


What challenge were you trying to address with Shero Commerce?

We had an outdated backend that was written in a language called ColdFusion and we wanted to transition into something that was more scalable and would evolve with us over the next couple of years.


What was the scope of their involvement?

Shero Commerce did a complete frontend redesign for all ten of our websites and set up the backend infrastructure. We use Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains and they connected that to Magento, which helps us keep our inventory synced across all sales channels. In addition, they installed an Amazon extension and a few other custom extensions for our Magento store.

What is the team composition?

I've worked with our project manager, a frontend designer, and a customer success manager. I've also interacted with their accounting team.

How did you come to work with Shero Commerce?

I did a Google search looking for a Magento partner. We interviewed three companies and decided Shero Commerce was the best fit for us.

How much have you invested with them?

We've spent about $400,000 in total for the ten websites.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in December 2017, and the relationship is ongoing.


What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Shero Commerce essentially revolutionized our company, allowing us to do many things that we didn't think were possible. We've received incredible feedback from our internal team. Our customer service team is already using one of the extensions, which helps us streamline the checkout process. Our customers also find the shopping experience much easier.

How did Shero Commerce perform from a project management standpoint?

They have a very robust project management system and we've learned a lot from them. They're great communicators and meet their deadlines. We have a shared Slack channel, but they also use Jira and help desk service to manage the project.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They're not doing it just for money. They've become a real partner to us.

I don't think so.
