Introduce your business and what you do there.

We operate in the events sector. We design, build, and install popup structures, exhibition stands, and other temporary show decors. I’m an interior designer in the company, and I also work on the website and handle communication with our advertising partners.

What challenge were you trying to address with Sherlock SEO Agency?

We wanted to upgrade our website and reach more people online. We were working with another SEO company, but we weren’t getting good results.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Sherlock is providing digital marketing services, including Facebook and Instagram advertising and Google Ads management. They’ve created some content for our site, and helped us post videos and texts on it. We have a template website, and we’re planning to change it, but this isn’t a good time for our sector because of the Coronavirus, so we’re going to wait.

We have multiple specializations, like exhibition décor and interior design, and we’re running separate social media campaigns for all of them.

What is the team composition?

I’ve mainly worked with Jef (Owner). Franny (Online Marketing Consultant) does banner design and things of that nature.

How did you come to work with Sherlock SEO Agency?

We chose them because of their reviews and proximity to our office.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Sherlock around January 2019, and it’s ongoing.  

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’re ranking higher on Google searches, and we’re getting more applications on the website. Our website has a lot of issues, but it’s not Sherlock’s fault. Their work is great.

I think the site will be even more successful after we’ve made a few changes to it. They sent me a report covering all the changes we need to make to the site.

We’re doing better than our competition from an SEO standpoint. We’re getting more applications, and that’s the main goal for us.

How did Sherlock SEO Agency perform from a project management standpoint?

We use Microsoft Teams for communication, and we have open conversations around the work. We also have phone calls, and they have a project management program in place. They send us monthly reports with a lot of information about our views and keywords and what changes we can make.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re more personable than the other agency we’ve worked with. We can call them anytime we have a question or want to change something. They’ve responded to my emails and given me solutions even when they were on holiday. I don’t know that much about SEO, but they’ve explained things to me very well.  

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t say anything right now. Everything Sherlock does is quite okay.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

It’s important to give them feedback on banners and other deliverables. Sherlock can use that to improve their work, since they won’t know the client’s company as well as the client.
