We gathered requirements from our client and worked closely with SerpentCS Pvt. Ltd. to refine the user requirement specifications. We then built some mockups, wireframes, and workflows to ready the client to launch development. Once we received approval, SerpentCS Pvt. Ltd. began research for the mobile app integration with beacon technology as well as the module features requested in the scope. They produced a functional prototype for testing within two months; the QA, feedback, and fine-tuning lasted another two months.

We worked with a project manager who oversaw two backend developers, a tester, and an Android app developer.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Overall, SerpentCS Pvt. Ltd. provided a high-quality and creative solution to a challenging problem. Our client has been happy with the system so far even though it has not reached the market yet. During the promotion period, we received feedback from other potential clients who wanted to see additional features. Our original client wants to expand the project scope and further improve the system to fill the industry gap.

We communicated through Skype, WhatsApp, and email. Documentation of changes and screenshots through WhatsApp allowed for speedy updates. The team demonstrated proficiency in English and were available in our time zone. They easily understood the scope and collaborated with us effectively.

We ultimately chose this team because their extensive online media, ranging from YouTube videos to entire courses on Udemy. It gave us the confidence that they were familiar with all variables affecting functionality.

With development at our UK site complete, we have opened a secondary plant in China and initiated the first development phase of an MRP with completely different requirements. The new system will eventually implement full inventory management via barcode scanning and automated routing. We also have a long list of future developments designed to further improve our company’s efficiency.

To accommodate our different time zones and minimize downtime, SerpentCS arranged to work throughout the night at very specific hours. They are also available any time of day—even during their “off” time—to resolve issues that threaten our operations.

The team is very well structured. To meet our complex requirements, we were assigned a creative, cognizant, and highly technical developer along with a commercial account manager. These two individuals effectively served as our only two points of contact, which was useful and simple. The team also included a quality control department that worked in tandem with a debug team and several deployment specialists.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The project has been a huge success. The systems approach and development work SerpentCS executed promotes a more uniform workflow and better accountability operations. 

By managing automated emails, production planning, inventory, and role assignments, the system reduces the time and resources required for documentation management while still allowing us to conduct daily operations in accordance with ISO 9001 regulations.

Though the project is ongoing, SerpentCS’ speed, reasonable cost, attention to detail, and personal attitude have already exceeded our expectations and facilitated new spheres of capability. Rather than forcing us to conform to their strategies, they adapted their methods to our existing protocols, which is beneficial to any company adopting new systems.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We work very well together. I've most appreciated how they guide us through the process and best practices while remaining mindful of our business needs. Everyone’s role is clearly defined and utilized efficiently.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They are impressive in nearly all areas. I know of no other company that rivals SerpentCS in technical knowledge or experience; they are consistently on the cutting edge. Their response time, problem solving, creativity, and technical ability are also exceptional.
