I’m the co-founder of Kianis, a jewelry company. We sell jewelry with lab-grown diamonds and gemstones at a fair price.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Series Eight has been helping us with branding, website development, and graphic design. We started by discussing our preferences for branding, whether we wanted a minimalist or bold approach. We also discussed our brand’s position and our preferences.

Series Eight has offered us various options for color palettes, logo designs, emblems, and typography. They’ve also provided us with a full branding presentation in PDF format.

After completing the branding process, we moved on to website development. We shared information about the website’s structure, and Series Eight has held meetings to understand our products and determine if the framework would work for us.

We then proceeded to the UX/UI design phase, using Figma. Series Eight updates the designs, and we can leave comments on the platform.

Series Eight has also assisted us with the affiches for a photo shoot studio.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We're delighted with the work Series Eight has done. We don't have metrics yet because we haven't started advertising and promoting our website. Nonetheless, Series Eight works like an extension of our team and always thinks from our brand's perspective.

The team offers improvement suggestions without thinking about whether it will be more work for them. Series Eight has delivered a very high standard of service.

How did Series Eight perform from a project management standpoint?

We use ClickUp and Google Drive to share information. Series Eight is very responsive and supportive, and I'm pleased with them. The team is good at meeting deadlines, although our project has taken longer than expected. Both sides have experienced delays, but I understand it has been because the team has done more than we initially discussed.

We primarily communicate via email, and Series Eight is very responsive. We also have weekly meetings every Wednesday. If we want to meet with them at any other time, they can always arrange a meeting quickly.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We're impressed by how Series Eight sees our brand as their own. They work as if they were part of my team, not as a separate entity.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I'm very happy with Series Eight, but if they could improve something, it would be to meet deadlines a bit quicker.

It depends on your requirements, but for us, it has been helpful to provide Series Eight with all the assets and information regarding our brand. It has made communication easier and smoother.

They were very responsive to our needs, quick to implement feedback, and always willing to adjust details to ensure the final result matched our vision. Their team combines creativity with a very practical mindset — they don’t overcomplicate things, but they still deliver work that feels thoughtful and polished. Their communication style is also refreshing: straightforward, transparent, and solution-oriented. This combination of design clarity, professionalism, and responsiveness made them particularly easy to work with.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Series Eight could have done differently?

Overall, our experience with Series Eight was excellent. If we were to suggest any minor area for improvement, it might be to provide a slightly more detailed initial roadmap or timeline at the very start of the project. While communication throughout was great, having an extra layer of upfront detail could make planning even smoother for clients. That said, this did not affect the quality of their work or the final outcome, which exceeded our expectations.

Everything about this project was a smooth process and so professionally handled.  The team were great to communicate with and the scheduled calls were structured and productive.

The final website is great and is already strating to generate traffic and drive awareness, which is exactly what we wanted.

Communication was so good.  Not only from the regular weekly catch ups, but they were incredibly flexible to work how we wanted and joined a Slack channel for the easy chats or requests.  On bug fixing, they were incredibly reactive and nothing seemed an issue.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Not so much measurable, but I was looking for a beautiful and user friendly website that was geared to both a DTC audience and also wholesale retailers. I have little web design and development and knowledge, so you can imagine it can be difficult to explain my wants. 
However, the team at Series 8 was able to present a series of options and directions adhering to my brand guidelines, my personal wishes and the web design all while focusing on my target audience. With this, it was simple for me to narrow down a final product we were all happy with. Such a pleasure to work with the entire team -the sense of customer service, urgency and care is clearly in the DNA of this company.

Items were delivered in the timelines that I needed and dictated. The timeline only shifted as the team waited on assets from myself e.g. photography, videography, answers on copy etc. The team was quick to respond and quick to aid in guided direction.

What challenge were you trying to address with Series Eight?

We wanted to rebrand our company’s image and website from top to bottom to achieve consistent branding. Given that, we needed a team that could do everything from creating a new logo and content to rebranding the website and ensuring it was SEO-friendly.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Series Eight was responsible for our rebranding efforts, including the logo design and creation of our brand voice. We didn’t have any brand guidelines in the beginning, so they facilitated workshops that allowed us to understand what our customers wanted. From there, the team developed our branding and voice. We showed them our old website and provided them with our old information. Our team discussed how we worked, and their resources incorporated those things into brand guidelines. 

What is the team composition?

We worked with a project manager and various other teammates, including a content writer and web designer. There was also a systems specialist. In total, we collaborated with 5–6 teammates from Series Eight. Nathan (Brand & UI Designer) was our project manager. 

How did you come to work with Series Eight?

I knew one of Series Eight’s founders from my school days. We’d been following their work for a number of years, and we always said that when it came time to rebrand our company, we’d reach out to them. 

How much have you invested with them?

We invested around €50,000 (approximately $54,000 USD). 

What is the status of this engagement?

The partnership lasted from March–July 2023.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The project was never meant to increase our sales. Instead, the idea was to have a way to show the evolution of our brand over the last five years. We wanted to show that we were still relevant and fresh. We expected that everything we did on this project would affect our future; we weren’t expecting a huge uptick in people calling us about the job that Series Eight did. 

How did Series Eight perform from a project management standpoint?

The Series Eight team was amazing; they delivered everything on time and within our budget. Nathan was great, too. He was with us from start to finish. He was great at understanding what we needed and how we needed it. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Everyone did their job truly well. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

The only thing we struggled with was the digital system they used in terms of feedback, content, and website management. The person managing the project from our side and I understood their digital systems. Still, such systems might be a little complicated for other clients, especially if they don’t have a dedicated person that can spend a lot of time reading and checking everything. 

In other words, Series Eight could figure out an easier way to get feedback from their clients. They could use Zoom calls or a different avenue rather than using the system that they used with us. This may help their team get more traditional clients in the future.

Ensure that you have enough time to do upfront work, such as explaining your brand. This ensures that Series Eight can do their job and understand what you want to get out of the partnership.

• Website design: Series8 designed a user-friendly and visually appealing website for our business, using the latest UX and UI principles and best practices. They also created wireframes, mockups and prototypes to test and validate the design with us and our users. They delivered high-fidelity design files and assets for the website pages and features. 
• Website development: Series8 developed a fully functional and responsive website based on our existing frameworks Django and Vue.js. They also integrated the website with our CMS, CRM and other third-party tools and platforms. They also ensured the website was SEO-optimized, secure and fast-loading. They delivered the source code, documentation and testing results for the website.

They also provided us with reports and analytics to track the progress and performance of the project. They were flexible and adaptable to any changes or challenges that arose during the project. They were a pleasure to work with and we were very satisfied with their work.

Redesign website to combine 2 companies under one brand. Design ideas for different levels of a brand refresh ranging from new colour scheme to minimal changes and something in the middle. The middle choice was chosen to provide familiarity to the user base with a simple, clean and professional design. Design, wireframes, site maps as well as training material for web maintenance were among the key deliverables.
