    One person started on the project, and then another person took over the technical side of things. Bill (CEO) was always available for communication.

    I Googled people who can fix Shopify. Seota Digital Marketing happened to be the first one I called, and Bill was so gracious. I liked him and the fact that he said he could fix my issue. They have been remarkable.

    For what they did, I found their fees to be extremely reasonable. We’ve spent about $700.

    By the time we reached out to him, it was mid-July. After two weeks of being completely down, we’re selling again. We’re still having a few issues, and they're just incredibly gracious in helping us resolve the last of them. They’re just finishing up bits and pieces.

To get started, we gave them some documents, PDFs, and thing slice that to give them an idea of how we wanted the platform to look.

    Bill(CEO) is our main point of contact. We also worked with a project manager named Tim (COO), someone who was in charge of content, and one who was in charge of development.

    We were looking for a team that was experienced with customized WordPress plugins. We also wanted them to be able to work with a whole suite of APIs. Specifically, Google Console API, and HubSpot. Searching for that, we found them online.

    The project lasted from March–June 2020.

    What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

    When we introduced features and ideas we wanted to implement, they already had those designs ready because they discovered it on their own. It was cool that they did market research on how valuable Google can be for a job search ahead of time. We didn’t have to hold their hand through the process at all.

    How did Seota Digital Marketing perform from a project management standpoint?

    They use Google Suite, such as Google Docs and Sheets. We had a shared drive so we could collaborate and update things in real-time. They would pass that back to us as they finished them.

    In regards to the timeline, I think we extended it by a week or two but that was significantly quicker than other vendors. We added several things to the scope during development, so that was really impressive.

    What did you find most impressive about them?

    Bill was involved in the entire process. We enjoyed working with him specifically because he brought a lot of business acumen to the conversation. It wasn’t just about design and technical requirements; it was about putting us in the best position to appeal to users. He was almost like a consultant.

    We used Google for project management, but it would have been nice to track the project on a system that could alert us. We were always in contact, but I just wish I was alerted when things were completed.

    Go in with an open mind and rely on Bill as a resource. There were things that we thought were great ideas, but Bill’s suggestions were really helpful.

    How did you select this vendor?

    We actually interviewed several vendors. We didn't know what we didn't know... so the process was very educational. In the end, Seota understood what our goals were, without overselling things that knew we did not need at this time. Due to time constraints, we also needed a content write. They put us in touch with Jamie and she was FANTASTIC! They were very responsive, and that is extremely important to us!

    Once we selected SEOTA, they worked on design & development, created mockups, we had a 1 or 2 in person meetings & a few video conferences. The website took longer to get up & running then we had hoped, but that was completely on us, as it took us longer to pull information together that we wanted on the site. Jamie did her best to keep us on track!

    Our 2 company owners primarily provided the information to Jamie regarding specific content & I reviewed, made suggestions etc. The 3 of us plus Jamie & Bill all worked together.

    The project began with a discussion between Bill, Seota's owner, and me. He later followed up with a questionnaire to help my company determine our goals for the web design and final product. After reviewing our responses, he provided a contract and assigned a team. The team provided 1 mock-up. We provided feedback, and a 2nd mock-up was provided and approved.     The workflow was incredibly effective and timely. They finished the project on my timeline and could have completed it earlier if we had existing assets. Again, this was the first website for our company. I exchanged emails with the team multiple times per week. Their response time was fast. Seota is very accessible.

    I am most impressed by their genuine desire to be helpful and to position their clients for the best outcomes in our business endeavors. Seota is incredibly knowledgeable, and happy to share expertise to address any questions throughout the project. They push for optimal outcomes. They tackle problems that are even slightly out of project scope - delivering more value than what is required. Their pricing is very reasonable. Seota is a good group of people/experts who have a very personable and professional approach to business.

    Are there any areas for improvement?

    It would be helpful for Seota to create a content checklist with ideal specs such as recommended image sizes. This could be given to a client at the start of a project so that they can not only get content - but get it in the right format for optimization. Lastly, I suggest a conference to walk clients through the admin tools of a new website just before launch. This will help clients to better help themselves with editing and content additions as our businesses progress.
