I own a live events company. I hired SEO local for SEO. I paid 3,000 and did not receive one lead. The blame was placed on me for selecting incorrect key words. Then my entire site has been lost. It is costing me so much to rebuild the site now from scratch. I would NOT recommend them. The headaches I now have from working with them and what these guys have cost me is too much.

SEO - Not only did I not receive a lead, they were hosting my site and gave me link. My entire site is gone. For someone who is not technical and having spent thousands of dollars, this was the worst mistake I have ever made.

I found it impressive that they were trying to hold me personally responsible for selecting incorrect keywords. They are suppose to be the seo experts. Not only did I have zero results, they just deleted my entire site. I have to have someone else rebuild it all. They have cost me SO much money!!!

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

YES. Tons. They did not have to delete my site. Working with them gave me huge financial issues and headaches. I could have simply just changed the hosting. They deleted the site and gave me a link. (For someone not technical, this is NOT acceptable).

I was very unhappy with the company hosting my website, so I wanted to find a new vendor.

What was the scope of their involvement?

I wanted them to establish a new WordPress website within about two months. They helped with the transition, and within two months, I had a new website up and running. It was a basic website, but they’ve added new features such as e-commerce capabilities. They also help with social media management on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and all major platforms.

For SEO, they came up with most of the keywords. They continue to check for new ones and revise the list. 

We recently added another element, Styled by Stef, and I would like to get the keywords upgraded to reflect this new segment of the business. We’re just starting to work on that. 

What is the team composition?

There are two people assigned to us. I work with one person for the social media portion and one person for the website. Nick (COO/CTO) works with us sometimes if needed. They bring in the right people to help us.

How did you come to work with SEO Locale, LLC?

I was unhappy with the company I was working with, I searched for some of the best SEO companies, and SEO Locale came up. I did a little research on them and spoke to three companies. I didn’t make it a monumental project. After speaking with Nick, I was very impressed.

How much have you invested in them?

We established a month-to-month plan. I pay $500 a month to maintain the website and update it. In July of 2019, for $200 more a month, they added the social media portion. I spend about $8,400 a year.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in June 2018, and our engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I have seen an increase in the number of customers we have gotten since we have been using SEO Locale. We have been able to stay afloat during the pandemic, not that it has been easy. We’ve maintained our position out there despite economic uncertainty.

The monthly report I get shows me everything, such as organic clicks and other things. They are excellent to work with. I highly recommend them.

How did SEO Locale, LLC perform from a project management standpoint?

For the most part, they have been able to meet all the deadlines. It is very rare when things aren’t completed on time. We communicate through email, and they answer my emails until late at night.  

What did you find most impressive about them?

Deliverables are met when they are supposed to be met, and the team is transparent. They’re just easy to work with. Nick is very good at explaining SEO and how to improve it. I’m not a technologically-savvy person, so I like their responsiveness and do what they say they will do.

Are there any areas they could improve?

When you are a satisfied customer, it is hard to come up with things. Probably the only thing I’d say is that they could offer more guidance with this newer piece that I am adding on. They could be proactive about what keywords I should target. I am doing very well on Google, so I can’t say we are not doing well, but I would like to see a little more proactive work from them in that area.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

It depends on what the needs are. They are who they say they are, and they do the work that they say they will do. Give them a shot at presenting whatever you need because I think they can deliver.

The SEO work has been a success. My business moves slow and steady with a lot of growth through referrals.

We have had a lot of new business from the website leads, and it continues to grow as referrals develop from those clients.

Everything has gone well. I tend to slow things down as I specialize in procrastinating, they always gently nudge me to keep the progress on track.

SEO Locale designed and developed a business web site. They recommended a photographer to show client interaction. Once launched, they also added google reviews from past clients.

My contact person at SEO Locale was always available, was open to my suggestions, and would have the changes in place the same day. I have a contact that updates my Business Facebook weekly. The weekly post is always sent for approval prior to posting.

My site was just launched in January this year. I have heard nothing but favorable comments about the professional image I have on the Internet. My customers now can research homes without leaving my site.

The thing that I found most impressive is that my project is still important. Communication is key. If the person I am looking for is not available, there is always someone that can assist.

I found their attention to detail very impressive. They were able to unearth some goals we weren’t considering and ultimately, ended up helping us. We're better off from our experience with them.

I’m very happy with their results, so I don't feel like nitpicking on any particular issue. Perhaps they could improve on brainstorming and documenting their progress, but overall, there’s nothing to complain about.

I am the Owner of Parkwood Street Road Pharmacy in Salem, Pennsylvania. We’re a full-service retail pharmacy and we deliver durable medical equipment and pretty much anything a full-service pharmacy is going to have.

What business challenge were you trying to address with SEO Locale?

Because you can’t make any money selling drugs any longer, the only way you can do that is through nonprescription products and your best bet is higher priced items like wheelchairs and medical equipment and things like that. Our goal is to try to get more delivery and people coming in for medical equipment. People aren’t going to come 10 miles to go to a pharmacy for their prescriptions, but they will for a wheelchair.

I was told that we’re basically starting from scratch. They were able to get my website up and running in a week. They had nothing to work on because they couldn't see my old website. They sat down and talked about all the important things, and what I wanted to say. They helped me with the wording and the site itself. I needed to give them a number of different keywords, and then rank the importance of one over the other. I don’t know exactly how they do what they do. I’m old and don’t go on the internet very often myself. If I bring up my website, it looks really good and professional looking. In general, it looks much better. I was with a big company before and was not getting anything for it. It wasn’t even as good as what I get now for the cost. The site has everything I need and SEO Locale is just easy to work with.

How did you come to work with SEO Locale?

I started out by having our website made by a company maybe five years ago. After a couple of years, we switched over to another company, which after a year or so, took over the website content and did SEO work. We did that at least a year longer than I should have. I was spending over $1,000 a month. It would vary all the time. I’d never know how much was being charged to me. Everything took time and it was very hard to get a hold of somebody and I didn’t know what was considered normal or not. The one thing I do know is the prices went up a little bit each year and I finally realized that my sales on these types of things are basically steady, but not increasing. I realized I wasn’t getting my money’s worth. I also didn’t know that my website would go completely dark when I said I wanted to stop their SEO work, so at the end of that engagement, I had no website.

I met SEO Locale at a Muhlenberg alumni meeting. Their price was very attractive, especially since I was used to paying twice as much or more. I was told my website would be up as quickly as humanly possible, which was really the most important thing to me. Not only was I able to get that site up quick, but I was saving money.

My sales are up by 20%, maybe a little more, which is really important in my business. I get more calls from people on the phone, people who are coming in from Philadelphia. I get more traffic to my site.

How did SEO Locale perform from a project management standpoint?

If there was a scale of 1 to 10, I’d give them a 10. I’ll reiterate that I know nothing about the business or the industry, but what I have judged them on their responsiveness and results. I don’t have complaints about either of them. I call and any change I need is done that day or the next. It has saved me money and made me money. I speak to them from time to time anytime I want to do add something to the site or make any change. It’s very easy. They answer the phone and then they do it.

What distinguishes SEO Locale from other providers?

Accessibility and responsiveness.

Is there anything SEO Locale could have improved or done differently?

They could give me a discount and charge me 11 months for the price of 12. Outside of that, I’m not going to complain about the pricing. I did call a few places and the prices, they all seem to be higher. No, I don’t think there’s anything that’s lacking. If you’re comparing several places that do this work, I don’t know that anybody is doing it for less money than this and I can’t imagine that they’re exceeding the results I’m getting. If I go on the internet and type in a wheelchair or a walker, our pharmacy ranks really high. I think CVS owns the market, but I’m above people who are even specializing in durable medical equipment. They're doing a good job and know what they’re doing.

Previously, I tried a generic company that charged ala carte for everything, and it was a complete waste.

I had one even this morning. I love it.
