I'm the CEO of Zelific, and I sell products on Amazon Marketplace that comply with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

What challenge were you trying to address with Sellerlit?

I was trying to understand the process of getting multiple FDA products launched on Amazon with the constant changes due to COVID-19.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Sellerlit helps me communicate with suppliers and assists with product development with regard to understanding size and weight. In general, we work together to manage the different things that need to be communicated with the seller. They also help with communication with Amazon reps, as well as with different sectors with regard to shipping and packaging size — all those things that come into play in the retail industry.

What is the team composition?

We have 3–4 people assigned to my project. Our main point of contact is the one I’ve been in contact with since the start of the project.

How did you come to work with Sellerlit?

I found Sellerlit through Upwork, and I was impressed with the massive amount of great reviews on them and the work they do. Some of the feedback they have is that they provide high proficiency and get the job done.

How much have you invested with them?

I’ve invested around $1,500 in the project. Their hourly price is more or less $50.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in October 2020, and we have an ongoing collaboration. It just goes to speak about his skillset. I've completed the project, but he makes himself available to answer any questions. I constantly have questions that come up because of the changes in rules on Amazon, and they’re there to help me.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I went from having around 200 units of a product sitting to selling 150 units very quickly, and now I’m waiting to get approval to sell another 3,000 units. Being able to do that showcases their expertise in the market and that they know how to market a product.

How did Sellerlit perform from a project management standpoint?

We do a lot of communication through Upwork via chat, phone call, or FaceTime. They keep in contact to discuss how our products are doing and what the next steps are.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m amazed by their quick communication. Whenever I ask something, they get back to me within 24 hours, even when it’s a weekend night. If I reach out to them, they are always going to be there to answer my questions or set up a call for something a bit more detailed to answer my questions. They did a good job of keeping up with the differences in the time zone and whenever there were changes to the prices of the work they let me know.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Overall, we had an excellent experience, so I have no complaints.

Any advice for potential customers?

Be very detailed as to what you need in order to maximize whatever you're trying to get done. When I reached out to them, I was very detailed as to what I wanted, so it allowed us to have a conversation about what I expected. Be detailed because the business of selling on these different platforms is ever-changing.

I am the owner/founder of a private label e-commerce company. We generate just shy of one million dollars in revenue per year selling product through Fulfillment by Amazon also known as FBA.

I hired sellerlit for an A-Z product launch on Amazon. My goal was to find and launch a decent profit generating product to sell through the Fulfillment by Amazon program.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I selected this vendor due to the fact that I had interacted with him in the past when he used to advertise his services on the jungle scout marketplace which no longer exists. To be perfectly honest, I had already paid to have product research done in the past, but I was not happy with the results. I figured that by incentivizing Vlad to help me with the entire product launch instead of just the product research, that he would offer me better products. This turned out not to be the case.

The services agreed upon was a full product launch on Amazon. This included finding a product, sourcing the product from a supplier and getting samples made, doing keyword research and creating the product listing on Amazon, getting product photos, and a video completed, and setting up the pay per click advertising.

I worked with one person named Vlad. I believe he is the owner of the company and quite possibly the only person in the company. Vlad puts up a front as if he was working with a team of people but I never heard from anyone except Vlad.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Over the course of two months, Vlad sent me 12 horrible products that would inevitably be a waste of time and money. Each time he failed it would take him at least a week before he would find more bad products to send me. It became very clear that he did not know what he was doing. I use the same software tools that he does to vet the products such as Jungle scout and Helium 10, I am beyond frustrated at how poor quality of products he chose.

I paid him a lot of money because he convinced me that he was good at product research, and I figured he would be able to find better products than I could but that turned out not to be true.

It is beyond frustrating trying to work on a project with Vlad. Everything moves very slowly and it takes him at least a day to answer one email which is a major time killer when you’re trying to launch a product. He was not on a timeline, and that was my fault. I should’ve proposed a timeline from the start. However, I felt that by putting him under a timeline, it would reduce the quality of his work. That was a big mistake.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What I found impressive about Vlad was his tenacity and his follow up. He is an excellent sales person, but that’s where it stops. After he got me to sign the contract his focus and attention was gone.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I would not force your clients to continue to work with you if they wish to terminate the contract in the very first step of the project for any reason whatsoever. You should have charged me for the product research and refunded the rest of my money instead of forcing me to continue to work with you or loose my investment.

I searched, narrowed down to 3 vendors, and interviewed all vendors. I chose Volod because he was direct, realistic, informative, and didn’t pressure me into his services.

So far so good, fingers crossed on results of my product launch. The launch is still ongoing.

He communicates regularly and is readily available for zoom meetings at various points in the process and when needs arise. I appreciate his timelines as other vendors I met with had very long drawn out timelines.

Very realistic approach and overall business acumen. Other vendors inflate potential results, whereas they are more cautious. They really consider our current position.

Communication could have been a little better and the process could have been a little quicker since it took weeks sometimes months for a follow up.

The workflow was very effective. I found Vlad to be a top project manager and navigated timing and expert analysis. Everything was done on time and in fact, he was following up with me on items that I was delayed on.

I found the level of care very impressive. Vlad seemed to really care about the success of the entire project and that meant my satisfaction as well.
