By the time they were done, both my mobile and desktop (which they weren't supposed to touch) speeds were reduced in half... twice as slow and the presentation on my mobile version was all screwed up. I had to hire someone else to fix it. Very disappointed and do not recommend their services.

Using PageSpeedInsights by Google they said they could take the mobile version of my website from 67 speed into the 90s... they said no problem. My desktop version was 97 at the time. When they were finished my mobile version was as low as 29-47 and my desktop went down to 49-67. Very disappointed !!! I had to hire someone else to fix it. They are still working on it. Before SearchBerg I wasn't having any problem with either the mobile or desktop version... now they are both messed up.

Overall, the work has been done very well. Darrell’s web development is excellent, and Jake has done a great job with the promotional articles. The content is organized and sent in stages, which I appreciate. I have a small suggestion: once content has been reviewed, please archive it and avoid sending it again. After all the content for a specific stage is completed and reviewed, kindly send me an email notification so I can verify and ensure everything is archived properly.

Search Berg was initially hired to build my website; I needed an e-commerce website to sell my product online.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Search Berg built a website that did not function properly and was not secure. Despite many conversations about fixing issues plaguing our site, the site remained unfinished. 

What is the team dynamic?

We worked with one individual who could not fix the errors on our site and then a second who was unwilling to implement any feedback we provided. 

How did you come to work with Search Berg?

We found them through an online search. We spoke to Search Berg for a few weeks before deciding to proceed with the partnership. We thought they would be a great fit, but this was not the case. 

How much have you invested with them?

We spent almost $1,000 with Search Berg. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together between December 2022–May 2023.

How did your relationship with the vendor evolve?

The project was supposed to take about three weeks to complete, but it dragged on, and they never completed what we initially planned. We paid Search Berg for two years of hosting, and after two months, the website was taken down without any advance notice. 

We left a bad review for them and got a lawyer involved; at this point, Search Berg offered to solve the issue, even though we were previously told they could not. We ended up working with another company to solve the issue because we had a legal case against Search Berg. 

Search Berg refused to return any of the money, despite a guarantee on their website that they would offer a refund if the site didn’t function properly. On a live recording, we were told they hated having our business on their system and that they didn’t want us anymore. The service provider never fixed the issues that came up, and we are pursuing legal action against their team. 

Describe the impact this engagement has had on your business.

When Search Berg took the website down, it stalled our customer’s ability to make orders. At this point, we started getting phone calls from our customers who couldn’t order anything. We had to call GoDaddy to reset everything and found that the malware was on Search Berg’s server, not ours. Our company took a hit financially because customers couldn’t look up our products online or make any orders. 

How was project management handled?

We were disappointed with their customer service; we were always passed along to another individual, and no one called us back. When we inquired about what happened to our website, Search Berg informed us that it was our responsibility to get the site back up, even though the issue was on their end. When speaking to their employees, inappropriate language was used, and the Search Berg team hung up on us. 

Is there anything that the vendor did well or that you would consider a strength?

The whole project was a fiasco from the beginning. We weren’t happy with anything Search Berg did. 

In what specific areas can they improve?

They can’t improve or fix anything because their whole company is fraudulent. It’s not one bad employee; it’s the whole company. Search Berg cannot be helped. 

What advice do you have for clients with similar needs to yours?

Do not work with them; they are a deceptive practice. Do your research and look for bad reviews because I’m not sure they didn’t write the good reviews themselves.

Since undertaking SEO, we have improved our google search rankings on several keywords. We have had more customer inquiries as a result of improving our keyword ranking.
