One of the private clinics in the UK approached us for the creation and automation of their patient management system. As we lacked the necessary technological expertise, we sought an experienced company that could provide high-quality services at a reasonable cost. After a thorough analysis of proposals from several companies, we came across SDD Technology. We decided to give them a few trial projects to ensure the quality of their services. 

After nearly two months of collaboration and the successful completion of initial tasks, we chose to continue working with SDD Technology. One of the primary reasons for this decision was their openness and accessibility. We were able to communicate with their team regularly and receive daily feedback. 

As a tech-savvy company ourselves, we were intrigued by how their team operated and how they swiftly and efficiently resolved any issues that arose. We were also impressed by the involvement of a business analyst from SDD Technology who had a medical background. This allowed them to directly interact with the end client and have a thorough understanding of their needs.

Our end client is satisfied with the result of the work and after completing the MVP stage, they extended the contract for another year, which in my opinion shows the success of cooperation with SDD Technology.

They used the Atlassian project management and documentation infrastructure that we are very familiar with, so the management was transparent. There were several delays in the delivery of the product, but it was not critical.

We were impressed with their openness and transparency. We would like to have the opportunity to communicate directly with the people who worked on the projects. In most companies, you constantly communicate only with a manager or a team leader. So hello to Alexander, Ilya, Svetala, Oleg and Anastasia.

Are there any areas for improvement or something SDD Technology could have done differently?

It would be nice if you could lower the price.

For what projects/services did your company hire SDD Technology, and what were your goals?

We, the company Velopad, want to build a marketplace for the topic of repairs in the field of micromobility with our solution and thereby bring the cyclist and any service provider together. The goal is to digitalise this currently still analogue process and with our solution to provide B2C (the end customer, cyclist) with the additional services that he can conveniently order a repair at the place of need.

For the (mobile) service provider, we offer the possibility to concentrate on his actual business and take away or simplify the operative business (e.g. invoicing, payment, communication with customers) with our app. The challenge at the beginning of the project was that not all functions and the workflow had been fully thought through or documented. We therefore chose an agile approach and developed the product iteratively.

We have looked around the market for different software developers / companies in India and elsewhere. In phone calls / pitches we found out that the company SDD was the most familiar with APP development (Android / IOS) from their knowledge but also with AWS as a central platform.

Scope was the development of 2 different apps (end customer / service provider) and construction of the platform according to the current technological status (incl. security requirements, performance, scalability) within AWS. The goal of the solution was the use of microservices in order to build and implement future functions in new releases as simply as possible.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The App CTfix in German and English Language is already released and It can be downloaded from the respective marketplace. Within the framework of these apps, other service providers for payment and KYC functionalities have also been integrated.

Communication with the project manager in regular calls was good. Unfortunately, the topic of Scrum was only implemented half-heartedly. Although tools like Jira and Confluence were used, there were no regular retros (e.g. after the end of a sprint) with the developers.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They communicated well, even outside their usual working hours.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Unfortunately, the topic of Scrum was only implemented half-heartedly. Although tools like Jira and Confluence were used, there were no regular retros (e.g. after the end of a sprint) with the developers. Unfortunately, the Jira tasks were also insufficiently maintained, i.e. neither function points of the developers nor references to the documentation were stored after completion. There is still room for improvement here in order to really live the agile approach.Furthermore, the results of the respective sprints were not sufficiently tested. Many errors were only identified by the customers afterwards.

I'm the CEO of a transportation company. We provide freight transportation services in Krasnoyarsk, Russia. We work since 2004 and have nearly 50 trucks in the fleet.

As we grow, our usual tools for management become sluggish and ineffective. Initially we used some general CRM systems in combinations with Word/Excel and some additional tools. This become a quite sophisticated system and we realized that it’s too expensive to continue maintaining and scaling it.

Thus we decided to implement a proprietary transport management system to help us with the management of loads, fleet, and employees. The goal was to adapt the system for our workflows and decrease the maintenance costs.

SDD Technology team helped us to design a new system from scratch. The first step was investigation of our processes and composing the general architecture and terms of reference. After that we made UI design, then implemented the key functionality. The system is web-based, it’s built using node.js, mysql, vue.js.

The team consisted of a project manager, architect, UX designer, three developers, and several testers (I don’t know their number for sure).

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We are definitely satisfied with the results because now we have a modern, fast and easy-to-use transport management system. I can affirm that our processes become more transparent and fast, and we spend less money for maintaining the whole system. After the first release we also made some additional improvements, so it was some kind of iterative work. The system is now in production and we use it in our company.

SDD Technology was always in touch and I appreciate their level of communication. They always kept us informed and answered inquiries. Deadlines were met as stated at the beginning of the project.

They have very experienced specialists in UX and web development. The quality of the work is high. We almost didn’t find any serious bugs after finishing. The team has a wealth of experience and understanding of the intricacies of logistics based and in general they are well versed in our industry

In general, the development of the project was not cheap, but in the end I think it is justified taking into account the complexity and quality of the developed system.

We have developed a website for our company that works on computers and mobile devices. At the beginning, the corporate identity and design was developed. After that, the developers implemented the site and launched it on our domain, and we gave access to our clients. New clients could already register on their own. The project is currently being supported by technical support.

Vendor’s team has a project manager, designer and two developers. We communicated mostly with the project manager. Now the site is supported by one developer.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

To date, more than 70 of our corporate clients have already used the capabilities of the site's personal account when they used our services. We received positive feedback and constructive feedback, which we used to improve the site.

The work was carried out in sprints lasting 2 weeks. We talked with the project manager 1-2 times a week, found out how the work was going, and clarified questions that arose along the way. Everything went pretty quickly.

I would note that they responded fairly quickly to all comments and feedback and made improvements to our site. Also, our clients highly appreciated the convenience of the interface.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Development lasted a bit longer than we expected. I suppose this was mostly related with some modifications we decided to implement in the site.

The SDD-Technology team and I studied the competitors, read reviews and found significant shortcomings in similar products. The goal was to collect as many advantages as possible and solve all the shortcomings of other projects producing our app. Also make the product easy-to-use and intuitive.

I am familiar with the head of the company since he was a developer himself and after talking with their designer, I came to the conclusion that the team is competent enough to perform this task.

I sent an idea to the team, described what I wanted to see. The team after examining competitors revealed the advantages and disadvantages of the project itself. Then a draft of the future design was made. After agreeing the draft, the UX design itself was made where the goals were primarily aimed at making the product convenient for use on devices with a large screen diagonal. After that, SDD-Technology team started choosing the color range by filling out a special application form that they sent us (branding application form). As a result, the UI and the design itself were developed.

The task was to create a modern diagnostic application, so users of any level can independently diagnose their cars. We needed to understand the technical part of the car, a scanner for reading data and programming. Our team members found a solution that allowed us to build a diagnostic complex based on Android and implement additional functionality in it - auto database checking. Despite the fact that the communication was carried out remotely, we’ve managed to release a high-quality product on the market.
