At first, we, as a team with SDA, studied the requirements for the application, analyzed their future users, collected all the necessary information, and offered solutions.

Due to the nondisclosure agreement, we can’t share all phases in detail, but we made an interesting discovery phase during which the client changed some requirements and made prioritization together with us, wrote clear documentation for all parts of the system (description of servers, application, landing pages, databases, and environments).

Then was the design, planning, and development phase. On that project, we used agile methodology, quality assurance, and release where we correctly deployed and ensured the required functioning of the project. Also, we proposed to install additional monitoring systems for tracking errors and server status.

The project was successfully finished within the discussed deadline and budget. After that client took a dedicated team of 2 developers to support the app and work on new features.

We worked as a team here. We sent daily reports with all updates and questions we had. The flow was very effective and the client always knew what tasks now in progress and what is the progress on the project.

They quickly implemented what we wanted into reality and at the same time suggested how best and cost-effectively to do it. The customer really liked the attention to detail and mutual respect and cohesion within the team

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I don’t think so. Good team, good approach, I was surprised, but I really got what I wanted and even more, and all of it for a very reasonable price.

Our client had a conflict with his old vendors that build the internal product for him. After this conflict, the legacy system had fallen with errors and nobody knew how to restore stable work. We have found SDA and they helped us to run all services back and then they took this system for their support.

I am unable to describe the details of the application due to the nondisclosure agreement, but they restore stable works of all nodes and servers, fixed the root issue, prepared good documentation for all parts of the system (description of servers, sites, databases, and environments). Also, they proposed to install additional monitoring systems for tracking errors and servers statuses.

The issue was fixed in three days - but it's very fast because this product works for about 10 years and was not documented at all. After that client took the dedicated team of 2 developers to support the system and work with new features.

I hired SDA Company to help me implement third-party APIs and build complex features. The goal was to connect Fitbit and Withings with my application and fix bugs that were causing some issues.

After a kick-off meeting, we set up the initial milestones to be completed. Communication was consistent between the project manager and developers throughout the process.

Since I have some programming experience, the developer would communicate with me directly, which helped streamline the process. The stack used was MERN.

The web application is being launched soon, so there are no measurable outcomes as far as usability goes. However, there were many tasks that were completed rapidly and effectively, which allowed us to move fast into the next tasks.

We used a Trello board as I requested to write down tasks and move them to their corresponding status. Github was used for code reviews, and Zoom for calls when necessary.

SDA company moved fast and effectively.  Their estimations for tasks are fair and I had the peace of mind that robust code was written.

Small bugs came up here and there but they were quick to fix them.

I am the founder of LivUnity, a US based technology company. Our flagship product is an online marketplace for fitness services. The LivUnity marketplace makes it easy to find and book time with a personal trainer or other fitness professionals.

When I hired SDA, I had a serious bug with my old application, Clustr Fitness. The authentication was failing and users could not log in. I also needed some help with standing up a WordPress website for LivUnity but fixing the bug in Clustr was the priority.

I opened a job on Upwork and interviewed a few individuals and companies experienced with my tech stack. I also needed a company with proficient developers and designers, coupled with a strong understanding of the fitness industry. I found Alex and the SDA company and the rest has been history.

The first milestone was to fix the authentication bug in Clustr. That completed in November 2020. Thereafter, we decided to turn the brand into something bigger, LivUnity. At this time, we opened a second project to build a WordPress blog for LivUnity, and a third project to rebuild Clustr as the LivUnity web app with better functionality.

So far, I have worked closely with Alex, but my understanding is that he's got a team of front end, back end and QA developers making sure that the application is developed to specification. He's also recently employed a PM to manage the timelines of delivery, which adds rigor to the development process.

Solving the Clustr Authentication bug on time and within budget. Designing and development of the LivUnity blog on WordPress. Development and launch of the MVP of the LivUnity web app. Happy to announce that we now have active users!

Project management was agile. I had weekly scheduled meetings with Alex and team to review project milestones. This was quite useful in keeping track of updates.

Working with the SDA team has been very smooth in spite of the global pandemic. The communication has been great even with the geographical distance. The quality of work has also been awesome. And their ability to collaborate with my designer in India, was quite impressive.

The project was to create a program, that would migrate 4 terabytes of clients' personal data from MS SQL to PostgreSQL with the different data structures. In addition, they have created a small UI on Vue.js with backend on Laravel for creating a new mapping of data structures.

The project required very high accuracy and professionalism because of the strict standards on sensitive data handling and database structure change. Stages were: - Planing - Investigation - Development - QA - Migration - Support

Our client's legacy IT infrastructure required an upgrade to the AWS cloud, which meant lots of migration and transition routines have to be executed and to keep the project working at the same time

Our internal devops team was fully booked and SDA came to help. We reviewed their capabilities and timelines and their resource was the best we could find amongst other vendors at that moment.

First, they performed discovery of our existing project, existing on-prem infrastructure, including the workloads and servers, and other dependencies. They composed a step by step plan for to migrate into the cloud in a non-interruptive way, including encrypted file storage, database, load balancers, high-performance webservers, single sign-on. The plan was reviewed multiple times by the local team in conjunction with SDA resources and led to successful implementation.

We hired 1 DevOps engineer for Cloud Migration and 1 SRE for monitoring and maintaining workloads in AWS.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Cloud migration was a smooth transition and great success. Not only we migrated the infrastructure and workloads, but also developed a further plan to rewrite part of our application to use Lambdas and AWS serverless which became a part of a new project.

They had a reliable team of experts who were willing to discuss every detail of the project and respond to any questions with good ideas and proposals. They mostly communicated via preferred communication channel: skype, but were willing to use any other as per our preference.

Based on their past experience in web-development and deployment of solutions, they had reliable professionals who not only knew what they do, but also provided multiple good options for solving tasks in a better way.

Some time was spent on learning the existing infrastructure, but that paid fully later once we started executing the plan as both teams (ours and theirs) knew what they were doing precisely.
