What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Metrics can vary across different PPC accounts. We usually see double-digit growth month over month for many of our key metrics. If we see a 2% click rate in a campaign, and then they start to get more involved, it’ll go up by 0.5%–1.0%. It’s a good, regular increase for all of our PPC metrics. They haven’t let us down since we started working with them.
They’re good at setting realistic goals as well, which helps us communicate and make sure our clients know what to expect. They do an honest and accurate job of saying what they anticipate depending on the changes they make to our campaign.
How did SCUBE Marketing perform from a project management standpoint?
We strive to be as reasonable as possible with our clients, so we ask the same of our partners. An email never goes more than 4 hours without being answered, which is fantastic. We’ve never come within risk of letting a client down because of having to wait for a report or anything like that. They’ve done a great job at managing their time and making sure that we get answers we can relay to our clients.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Most of our clients are in a niche market, so it’s not something that comes naturally without being engaged in their industry. SCUBE wasn’t afraid to learn the vocabulary and lingo of various industrial industries, and they immersed themselves in order to approach it as experts. That’s hard to find in a PPC agency, and they’ve done a great job with that.
They’re always incredibly responsive, and they always overdeliver. They allow us to offer a complicated, technical service in an affordable, yet very effective, manner. They’re reliable, communicative, and client-focused. If Tom needs to be in contact with one of our customers, he handles himself very professionally and in a way that DeanHouston can stand behind. It takes a special organization to offer this level of service.
They provide great work that gets good, quantifiable results. It's all PPC and stats based, and we've always had excellent experiences. In our agency, it’s all about billable time and making sure we’re getting as much done during specific time periods. The ease of doing business with SCUBE goes a long way.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Every organization can always improve, but as per our expectations in our business relationship, I can’t say there’s been any real frustration in working with them.
Initially, we had to figure out how to work together as partners. They were very adaptable in order to make that happen. It would be tough for me to say that they’ve never provided a result that we weren’t expecting or had paid for, but the early stages of the strategic partnership are always tough.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I suggest being transparent and honest upfront about objectives and potential issues for accounts, specific clients, or industries. This information got us through the initial partnership-building phase.
If an organization engages with SCUBE without immediately informing them of goals and shortcomings, their engagement will not go as smoothly. They’re able to provide results quickly and adapt to the present sition when they know what’s going on.
