I sought the services of ScaleJet with the specific need of hiring a project manager. The agency was quick to respond and facilitated the hiring of a candidate who initially seemed promising. Not only did she share my cultural background, but her proficiency in English also stood out as a significant asset. However, a few months into her employment, the situation took an unexpected turn. 

Despite what seemed like smooth sailing, marked by regular weekly calls, the project manager abruptly resigned. This sudden departure was compounded by an alarming issue: she demanded payment for 116 hours of work when only 9 hours had been logged. This attempt at financial extortion was both surprising and disconcerting. In search of support and resolution, I turned to ScaleJet, the agency responsible for her placement. 

My outreach consisted of three emails, each aimed at escalating the matter to find a viable solution. Unfortunately, the response, when it eventually came, it was not from the owners—with whom I had been in direct contact throughout the hiring process—but from an assistant. This response was not only delayed but also disappointing: it stated plainly that ScaleJet could neither assist in addressing the situation nor continue our working relationship. 

This experience has been enlightening in many ways. It underscored the importance of not just the initial success in recruitment but also the critical role of support during challenging times. When faced with unexpected difficulties and ethical concerns, the true value of a recruitment agency is revealed not in their ability to celebrate successes but in their willingness and capacity to navigate and resolve crises. 

Regrettably, my experience with ScaleJet shifted from positive to negative when tested by adversity. The initial efficiency, professionalism, and seeming attentiveness gave way to a lack of support, communication, and, ultimately, responsibility when most needed. The abrupt and unhelpful response to a serious issue left me feeling unsupported and undervalued as a client. 

Even though ScaleJet demonstrated capability in identifying and facilitating the hiring of talent, their handling of post-placement challenges was markedly insufficient. This review serves as a candid reflection of my entire journey with ScaleJet, highlighting the need for potential clients to consider not only the recruitment prowess of an agency but also their commitment to ongoing support and ethical practices. 

This experience has left me scarred from wanting to engage any other recruiting agency.

Our relationship with the agency started off great when they helped me find a good project manager. But when things got tough and I needed them most, they basically left me hanging. This change from being helpful to unresponsive was really disappointing.
In what ways can they improve?
To better their service, the agency could benefit from strengthening their ongoing support and communication with clients, particularly in challenging times. A commitment to timely and transparent communication would go a long way in building trust and ensuring client issues are addressed promptly. It's also vital for the agency to offer consistent follow-up after placements to gauge satisfaction and swiftly address any emerging concerns.

Developing a proactive approach to problem-solving and maintaining open lines of dialogue can significantly improve client relationships. Moreover, setting clear expectations from the outset and ensuring the team is equipped to manage difficulties as they arise would further demonstrate the agency’s dedication to client success. Elevating their service in these ways could make a substantial difference in client experiences, fostering stronger partnerships and enhancing overall satisfaction.
What advice do you have for clients with similar needs to yours?
When choosing an agency, it's crucial to pick one that not only helps you find the right person but also sticks around to support you afterwards. From my experience, an agency's true value shows not just in the hiring phase but in how they handle the challenges that come later. Make sure they're transparent, responsive, and willing to tackle problems with you. 

Unfortunately, not all agencies maintain this level of support, which can leave you feeling a bit on your own when you need help the most. So, do your research and look for an agency that stands by their clients through thick and thin.
