Our company, is a major retail seller in Europe and have three warehouses located in Central and Eastern Europe. Our company delivers a wide range of products, from electronics to toys on Amazon, eBay and many other platforms.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Scalecast, and what were your goals?

Our company hired Scalecast to help us address issues related to scaling our ecommerce software. As our business grew, we were facing challenges with managing the increased demand for integrations. And needed better, new solutions to grow stable. Our goal in hiring Scalecast was to improve the scalability of our software and to efficiently integrate our systems to better serve our customers. They were a big help to us in achieving these goals and we were able to successfully address the issues we were facing.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We've found them through their email offers. They already had an experience in integrating local businesses throughout Baltic states. It was one of the key factors in our selection process, as our company demanded in more integrations, they were the only one standing out among others. We've had positive interactions with their team, which made us confident that they would be the best fit for our project and company. Eventually, it ended up being a great choice.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

The scope of work for this project was to design and develop a system for synchronizing distributor's products with multiple ecommerce platforms. This included the development of custom software for each new marketplace including Amazon and Cdiscount. The project was broken down into several key steps: Analysis and requirements gathering: In this phase, we worked closely with them to understand our business needs, and to identify the requirements for the new system.

Design: Based on the requirements, Scalecast designed the system architecture and user interface, as well as the data models, database schema, and integration points. Development: Scalecast developed the software using C#, which was more scalable and efficient than our previous solutions that were written in legacy Java many years ago. The system was developed in several iterations, module by module, with regular updates and testing.

Integration and testing:Scalecast integrated the new system with our existing systems and performed various testing to ensure that it met our requirements and was free of bugs. Deployment and support: Once the system was fully tested and ready, They deployed it to ourservers and provided ongoing support. Key deliverables: Custom software for each new marketplace Integration of distributor's products with multiple ecommerce platforms System desig, backend dashboards, database design etc. Technologies used: C# Java Python HA Postgres Kubernetes

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Overall, this project allowed us to improve the scalability of our software and to efficiently integrate our systems to better serve our customers, and was a big help for our business to grow. It helped us to work more efficiently and focus more on our customers rather than software management. Everything was automated, which lead to cost savings and increase in profits.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

They used a variety of communication tools, such as email, phone, and video conferencing to keep in touch with our team and to provide regular updates on the progress of the project. They were always responsive and timely in their communication, which helped to keep the project moving forward smoothly.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

One of the things we found most impressive about Scalecast was their willingness to meet with us in person even during the pandemic. Their executives took the time to come and meet with us face-to-face, which helped to build trust and a stronger relationship between our companies. This level of personal engagement and commitment to the project made a big impression on us and helped us to feel confident in their ability to deliver on the project objectives.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Nothing in mind.
