As Director of External Relations and Services at Nexus University. I am responsible for external relations, admissions, marketing, and communication, as well as developing new projects.

Our university needed a marketing agency to handle its entire digital marketing strategy, including social media advertising campaigns, content generation, blog creation, and SEO strategy to boost its reputation online.

Additionally, in order to grow our university by obtaining a greater volume of quality leads, we needed a marketing agency to manage our CRM (HubSpot) so that we could implement email marketing campaigns and automations within the same system in order to automate and optimize conversion processes.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Among the reasons I chose this agency after talking to five different marketing agencies was that this agency not only had the technical knowledge to handle all marketing activities, but also exhibited a partner mentality, constantly striving to improve processes based on the results. Sadly, not all marketing agencies are based on this principle, and this was key to our success.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and marking tools used.

The first step was to share all of the necessary internal elements, such as brand guidelines, mission, vision, values, etc., as well as our university's objectives. Afterwards, SWOT analysis workshops were conducted to better understand the current situation. Our second phase was to develop a strategic and tactical plan with success indicators in the following areas: Marketing targets, ad campaigns, email marketing, social media calendars for Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram, and its KPIs.

A wide range of CRM workflows and automations, email copywriting, landing page creation, and more. We use the following tools: HubSpot Sakari Whatsapp Social media creation tools and others

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

In general, we increased the number of students per cohort by 74% compared to the two previous years. Considering the amount of time we had, that's an incredible number.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Every week, we meet to review campaign performance, align budgets and strategies, outline actions and specific objectives for the coming week. When we need anything during the week, the agency responds immediately via WhatsApp or email.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Despite being a digital marketing agency with all the necessary resources to help any company grow, what sets it apart is their ownership mentality toward each project they undertake. Marketing agencies often fail to achieve what they had, in my opinion.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The only thing I see is that sometimes they do a lot more than they are supposed to, and while that's great, it can be hard to keep up.
