Please describe your company and your position there.
I provide professional development and science curriculum resources for teachers, homeschool educators, schools, homeschool coops, districts, and intermediate units. I am the founder and CEO.
For what projects/services did your company hire Sayles Industries?
My website was a "patchwork" of what I was able to do with my limited web design and development knowledge, and while it operated -- there were significant speed issues, theme issues, etc. I needed someone to redesign my site to keep everything on brand and improve performance.
What were your goals for this project?
A new website with better performance and design.
How did you select Sayles Industries?
It was recommended by others in my community. The cost of the project was within my budget, the timeline worked out perfectly, and Corey seemed very knowledgeable and easy to work with.
Describe the project in detail.
I provided layouts and design ideas, brand colors, copy, and most of the images. Corey took my ideas and created a great-looking website. He made suggestions when necessary to improve the user experience. He optimized the site to improve performance, added the plugins I needed, and set it up to meet all of my requests. He was willing to make changes and updates to accommodate my needs.
What was the team composition?
I worked with just Corey through the project.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
I am getting a lot more contacts from my site's contact form since the update, as well as contacts from my email newsletter opt-in. My site runs so much better, and the back-end is more streamlined and effective (without a ton of extra plugins and so on).
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
We used Slack and email to communicate. Communication was easy and Corey was always prompt in responding.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
I am beyond thrilled with my new website! Corey was super easy to work with, always responsive, reflected all of my requests and changes and all of that. He did everything in an incredibly timely manner (if anything, I was the one that held things up here and there by not having my ducks in a row), and it all turned out beautifully. It also runs waaaay better now, and all of the "behind the scenes" is much cleaner and more efficient. We are so excited to have a truly professional-looking website right now and we will absolutely hire them again to do any other website work. Highly recommend. Super happy!
Are there any areas for improvement?
If anything, it would have been helpful for me to have mapped out the pages before starting the project. There were times when Corey was ready to work on the project, and I did not yet have the design or copy ready. That was 100% on me, though, and he was always very patient with me getting the information to him!

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am a co-owner of Kelly Steel & Engineering. We’re in the construction industry and we manufacture wear parts for asphalt plants and quarries.
What challenge were you trying to address with Sayles Industries, LLC?
Our company was purchased in 2016. We had no internet presence. It was a 50-year old company and although we were known, particularly in Pennsylvania, we wanted to work on expansion in New Jersey, New York, and New England.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They set up our initial website. We have uploaded photos and added testimonials. The site describes what we do to those who haven’t worked with us yet.
What is the team composition?
Corey (Owner) is our main point of contact, and I met with him a few times. However, I don’t know who else was working with him.
How did you come to work with Sayles Industries, LLC?
They were referred to us from another company in our network.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in February 2017. The bulk of it was wrapped in three to four weeks. However, whenever we need something tweaked or updated, we just reach out to Corey.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’re very satisfied with their work. Corey became pretty knowledgeable about that in a short period of time, and I was impressed by that.
How did Sayles Industries, LLC perform from a project management standpoint?
Communication is good. We use email, phone, and text. They’re always available.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their personal touch and knowledge of our product are the most impressive.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, not right now.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Reach out to them and take it from there. Corey is a quality guy with a quality company. It’ll be to your advantage to make that phone call.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the marketing manager of a home improvement company. We do gutters and insulation work. We’ve also gotten into remodeling kitchens and baths and doing additions for the past two years.
What challenge were you trying to address with Sayles Industries, LLC?
They’ve been helping us out with lead generation and a website revamp.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We had a lot of pre-existing content, but they helped us freshen it up with a better theme. They did write some content, but they also helped us get good placements on Google. They’ve also built some microsites to drive leads. All their work is in WordPress. Their marketing work was SEO; another vendor does PPC for us.
What is the team composition?
I worked with Corey (Owner). He was our point of contact for everything.
How did you come to work with Sayles Industries, LLC?
A previous agency we used introduces us to Corey.
What is the status of this engagement?
We’ve been working together since October 2018.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The sites look great. Corey also gives different suggestions and helps us out with getting more reviews with potential platforms to target.
How did Sayles Industries, LLC perform from a project management standpoint?
It’s been good. In hindsight, I think we could get a bit more feedback from him or he could come to us more proactively, but there hasn’t been anything bad. We’ve met in-person since we’re in the same city but we also talk on the phone.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Corey is very knowledgeable about all things web. Having him as a resource has been very helpful; we can count on him and call him up with any issues we have.
Are there any areas they could improve?
When you’re working with an outside source, it’s hard to get your arms around what you’re getting for your money. That’s not a critique of him, but just one of those general things. It’s a little hard to quantify all the value he’s provided with hosting, SEO, troubleshooting.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
He’ll be helpful with your business, improving where you’re at and your rankings.

What is the team composition?
We had one point of contact who was the owner.

They were recommended by our previous vendor who was retiring.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the owner of Living a Course in Miracles, a small business that creates workshops, retreats, small groups for ministry purposes and spiritual healing.
What challenge were you trying to address with Sayles Industries, LLC?
I hired Corey (Owner, Sayles Industries, LLC) to help me facilitate participants to register for some of my workshops and retreats.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Corey set up registration portals through Eventbrite to allow participants to register online. He also worked with our SEO, helping us appear higher in searches on Google. He created slideshows, gave access to some of the lectures through video formats, and assisted with the overall marketing strategy.
What is the team composition?
I only work with Corey.
How did you come to work with Sayles Industries, LLC?
It was through a referral. Corey was doing work for a roofing business that’s owned by one of my friends. I decided to go with him because of his attentiveness. He listened to me and understood how my mission was valuable. That alone sold me on his services. He also seemed to have a lot of time available to me. He responded quickly to my questions, remaining prompt throughout that process.
How much have you invested with them?
I’ve spent around $1,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with them in May 2015.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The ability to track the sales that came through was difficult for me, but Corey created a registration system that followed payment and transactions. It was helpful financially in saving the amount of time I was spending at the end of the year.
How did Sayles Industries, LLC perform from a project management standpoint?
Corey showed me different templates and platforms that I could use for various projects. If I didn’t like one he suggested, he would just show me another one. They were flexible and open to my suggestions.
What did you find most impressive about them?
What stood out the most was their open-mindedness. Corey can speak a language to many different people. He understood my purpose and connected to what I wanted to do.
Are there any areas they could improve?
To be honest, I can’t think of anything. I’m very pleased with his work.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Clients should ask questions to Corey. If they have things that they want to do, which might sound limited in their mind, they should still let Corey know. He might have a way to make it happen.
