They helped us create an industry service that would convert digital signals into physical entities and be sent out to a whole assembly line.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Samyak Infotech Pvt Ltd provided IoT development support. We provided them with our requirements, and they worked with us throughout the project. We were doing a project for the government, and we were creating this whole assembly line. We were required to connect processes in the assembly line between the physical and the digital interface. Proper communication could only happen with that particular piece of industry service.

We were very happy with the collaboration. They knew what they were doing, and all of their outputs met our expectations. Also, thanks to their expertise, we were able to solve any problems quickly and avoid delays.

They met all deadlines and stayed on budget. They prepared and sent us reports using Excel sheets. For communication, we mainly used WhatsApp.

We had taken over the business from a previous owner, so I was looking for someone to improve the website and help implement automation. The website was static and so we asked their team to make it more dynamic.

Samyak Infotech Pvt Ltd integrated a few features on our website. Their team has worked on creating mobile features and app development. They’ve implemented tools that allow for both employee and administration level tracking, along with the other services we provide. With the mobile app, everything can be trackable and manageable because of how they developed it.

I work with a couple of people on their team—about five teammates are involved.

We followed a referral from a mutual friend.

We’ve spent around $25,000.

We started working together in June 2018 and the project is ongoing.

Their project management approach is good. Monthly, we get a fully detailed report of user data that shows us various things our users are doing. Also, we communicate with their team through phone and email.

I am the software product manager at a logistics company specializing in surgical transplant deliveries. I oversee the development, in coordination with the operations and executive teams.

What challenge were you trying to address with Samyak Infotech?

Samyak Infotech developed the software used to run our operations.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Samyak Infotech is 100% responsible for the development and maintenance of the software platform we rely upon. This includes the operational tool with which our call center operators can manage the order lifecycle. We also have a courier management portal, as well as a customer-facing one. The platform is built with Microsoft .NET and SQL, among other technologies.

What is the team composition?

Sandeep (Project Manager, Samyak Infotech) is one of my primary contacts. I’ve also worked directly with Rushabh (Business Development Officer, Samyak Infotech) and with one of their senior development leads. Those are my three primary interfaces, but there are other members I’ve worked with periodically.

How did you come to work with Samyak Infotech?

My CIO identified them initially. He’d contracted them previously.

How much have you invested with them?

I’d estimate that the total project cost falls between $3–$5 million.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Samyak Infotech in December 2015, and it’s ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

All of our business operations are running through the tool they provided. One of the first implementations of a logistics tool that my organization tried to use never saw the light of day. It was a failure. The current iteration with Samyak Infotech has been live in our call centers since 2016, and that speaks to it being a success.

A larger company recently acquired us, and the plan is to transition their business operations onto our platform. Independent auditors and consultants have conducted reviews of each of our companies’ platforms and rated the one developed by Samyak Infotech as superior. The managerial decision, based on the consultants’ input, was to switch to this one.

How did Samyak Infotech perform from a project management standpoint?

Sandeep is on top of things. He assigns a team to any issue we bring up with him. I haven’t had to manage anybody on the engineering team because the primary project leads take care of everything. They relay our decisions relating to issues and design considerations, and in that regard, they do a good job of managing the project.

What did you find most impressive about them?

In past partnerships with offshore organizations, whatever requirements we handed them resulted in exactly what they’d give back. Samyak Infotech takes the initiative and challenges our requests to make them better. They have internal meetings to plan our operational needs. That isn’t always what we need, but it’s been valuable and appreciated in other cases that they’re putting in the effort to think through our requirements.

That’s a particular strength, even though it can be a weakness, depending on the strength of the client’s internal team. I felt it was something valuable, and they’ve grown to understand my working style and expectations through the course of our relationship.

Are there any areas they could improve?

One of their weaknesses is UX design. They need to invest more resources in cultivating that skill. My recommendation for anyone contracting them is to make sure they’re strong in that respect, unless the client has their own staff. Left to their own devices, Samyak Infotech is very engineer-centric, so we get designs that look like an engineer made them for other engineers. That’s definitely their biggest weakness, at least for the division I worked with.

Their mobile development resources are also lacking. They get the job done, but it’s not to the current mobile development standards one would expect. 

These are the two primary weaknesses, and they center around issues of usability and interface design, which are pretty important nowadays.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

If it fits the client’s budget, I’m sure Samyak Infotech will get the job done. On the other hand, to people looking for top-notch teams, I’d say spend more.

We learned some valuable information about what is possible, what may not be, and what level of effort would need to be employed to continue down the road of AIG.

Their dedication to transparency and communication was impressive.

Perhaps asking more questions up front to try to tailor the solution more to our needs, but overall, not done too poorly.

Samyak was involved with the development of our software. They also assist us with testing in order to make sure that the application is working as expected. This includes performance, regression, scalability, and load tests.

One project manager, two front end users and 2 developers and 1 QA person. i was only coordinated with project manager.

In our relationship is since Nov-2013, we put together a set of statement of works that lays out Samyak role for the year, which includes supporting the software, and enhancing the software. They also provide 24/7 helpdesk support on some our main components.

They were completed this project within timeline with regular onsite and telephonic support and communications.
