RUDRA INNOVATIVE SOFTWARE has helped us with speed. If there are any issues, they fix them. Overall, their quality of work is very good; everything they do seems to be on point.

They’re very responsive to emails, and there’s no language barrier. Moreover, they work within the budget, provide us with timelines, and manage tasks using Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Loom videos.

We wanted to revamp our app to extend and improve current features. We needed react native developer to help us improve the app by a tenfold. We wanted the app to have no errors and be easy to use.

We searched online, had a talk and decided to go with rudra because of their flexibility, pricing and experience.

I created deliverable tasks for the developer to do. I then received working deliverables in form of pull requests to our github repo. During the project we took any questions written over skype. I then reviewed the work, gave feedback and either added the code or made developers do changes. All work was done in React Native.

Project manager was 1st contact. We had at most 3 developers where most of the contact was done with 1 lead developer.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We rewrote the app over the project time, increasing functionality, look and feel. Developers took on challenges and where able to provide very good solution to difficulties.

We had continuous chat messages, and developers delivered reports at end of each day. I asked for estimates and such when needed.

We had a side project that did not go the way we hoped, i think a bit more honesty in their knowledge would have helped.

We are SYCK LABS LLC, a software technology company. Our purpose is to produce consumer lifestyle technology. My position is founder, owner, and CTO.

We hired them initially to assist us in the development of new technology and consumer applications we were looking to bring to market. We were looking for someone with skills and experience in IT world, including networking, mobile app development, web development, and graphical design.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We’ve worked with them for close to 3–4 years to build and develop complex and non-complex functionality for some of our mobile and web apps. Deliverables have included developing APIs for our mobile and web apps, creating modern and intuitive UI/UX designs to scale and leap forward with innovation, and developing ideal UXs that bring simplicity to cutting-edge technologies.

In technical terms, Rudra has contributed to and led network engineering efforts, server infrastructure and design projects, and the construction of custom coding editors. Languages and other technologies include Node.js and Docker Containers. They’ve also worked with our database infrastructure to ensure our data structures are secure, scalable, and interpretable.

Recently, they helped us rebuild a whole slew of our APIs using the RESTful framework and Laravel, among other PHP solutions.

What is the team composition?

We’ve worked with network engineers, an iOS and Android developer, a web developer, graphical designers, network security specialists, and cloud specialists.

There are two primary individuals we’ve maintained contact with: Navneel (Co-Founder/CEO) and Amit (Business Development Manager), with the later being our project manager.

Where we’re building out new designs or initiatives or a new scope of work that’s complex that requires in-depth conversation, we might require quite a few people from their team. I’ll engage Navneel to brainstorm and see who the best resources and experience would be to deliver our ideal UX. After that, we’ll transition to a more formal setting where a project manager works the routine tasks with occasional oversight from Navneel when necessary.

I posted a request for skilled developers and designers on UpWork and Rudra responded. At this point, I like to set resumes aside and see if I’m working with someone who can finish my sentences and is experienced in the industry. Rudra showed a level of investment that I knew would get us where we wanted to go. They were able to see beyond my initial need into how the projects will evolve.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We start with a defined goal in mind — sometimes one with more tangible standards, like a graphic design or a release date. This helps us be more efficient and ensure that we know if we received what we were looking for at the end of the project. We'll also go through and plan the first, second, third steps, and so on. This well-defined game plan is essential to evaluating success.

How did Rudra Innovative Software Pvt Ltd. perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management can’t be done better in a technology environment than the way Rudra does it. There are a lot of methodologies out there — Scrum, agile, etc. — as well as a lot of technologies, and Rudra has put together a strong portfolio. We work in an agile manner with Jira and Asana to organize the tasks.

In our most recent project, each API Rudra was going to rebuild was given it’s own Jira story with every step of the construction process. The work flowed smoothly, and we received significant insight into how time was being spent. This helps us measure the cost and value of the work we’re receiving. It’s clear from this data that Rudra is very engaged. They’re even willing to export an Excel file of the Jira and Asana work for clients who aren’t technically savvy enough for these tools.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Anyone looking for a vendor in this line of work – graphic or UI design, brand identity, software development — has to deal with time differences, especially those working on complex projects. Rudra always makes themselves available to me during the most productive part of my day. I’m always empowered to reach someone, no matter the time. This is driven by a desire to give their customers the best products possible.

This is a beautiful characteristic to have and makes them deserving of this review. I’ve worked with several partners across the world and keep coming back to Rudra. I’ll work with them as long as they’ll have me.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Like any organization, they could expand their array of services into other languages, like Python. It’s not often, but we sometimes have to go elsewhere for certain proficiencies or develop them in-house. They’ll continue to expand.

We had several meetings to discuss the current features and functions of our website and then we developed a series of next-steps. As we added additional projects, Rudra would take the information given and would improve upon it, provide a ink to our staging site for approval prior to moving new functionality to live site. The most monumental project that we have has is moving our hosting from one provider to Amazon Web Services. Rudra made this easy.

Our website continues to be a work in progress and Rudra's flexibility in working in this type of environment has been top notch. We continue to have month-over-month increases due to the changes that they have helped us implement.

Every new addition or modification starts off with a detailed description from us and then, We work primarily through teams with ongoing conversations as needed.

The Rudra team is exceptionally easy to work with. We are concerned about the time difference between us and them, but they are extremely accommodating.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Once thing that would be a great help is if, as they make an addition to the website, they would create, and then update, a complete tutorial of their modifications to the site.

I made a research on 50 company before reaching Rudra. I asked my network and looked on social media. The deciding factor where their facebook page that show good team spirit, it seems to be a nice place to work. I had a call with their CEO, Navneel, who confort me about his experience and professionalism. Also I have made lot of trips in India and i know they are the best workers in tech industries.

The project is still going. For me is the best combination, Rundra help me to add technical vision to my designs skill. Also they are flexible that allow me to do test. I couldn't have reach the same quality level without them.

We are using Skype daily. The communication is great.

I think Skype is the limit. It will be helpfull they use a project management tool with their clients to follow the project. I would also like more video meeting to better track the project.

I’m the principal of a company called n-tech Research. I also consult for several other companies, and Rudra has done projects with them as well.

What challenge were you trying to address with Rudra Innovative Solutions?

I’ve worked with them on several site redesigns, but the most complex project was for Martek Publishing.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

This project involved a complete redesign of an ecommerce site including a CMS transfer from ExpressionEngine to WordPress. The previous site had been redesigned several times prior to this project to improve functionality, but we wanted a more intuitive CMS to facilitate future changes. Rudra maintained the site’s functionality in the rebuild.

I primarily interfaced with the CEO at the beginning of the engagement. As we’ve moved into other projects, they’ve assigned someone else to work with us on a daily basis.

How did you come to work with Rudra Innovative Solutions?

We initially found them on Upwork after posting a smaller site redesign project. Although they responded to our post, we decided to go with another firm for that project. We were ultimately unsatisfied with the results and went back to Rudra for the next redesign.

We started working with them in the summer of 2017, and there are still significant projects that are ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

From a qualitative standpoint, the sites we’ve completed are live and running reliably. They look and feel consistent with other sites in the ecommerce space.

How did Rudra Innovative Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve performed very well. When I have inquiries, they respond fairly quickly. We usually communicated via Skype and Skype Messaging.

What did you find most impressive about them?

It’s still too early in the engagement to tell. So far, I’ve liked their designs more than other firms I’ve worked with in India. I also enjoy working with their CEO. They’ve done a great job working around the time difference and language barriers.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Working with their CEO isn’t the most efficient way to do business. He has a lot of other projects to focus on, and it wasn’t always easy to get in touch. I’m now working with a project manager that seems a bit more responsive, so this is something they’re actively working to improve. We would also benefit from using a project management tool to track progress.

Advice for potential customers?

Be clear on your project’s scope and be prepared to take a hands-on approach to management when working with offshore firms. Make sure you follow the project closely and check off requirements as you go.

What challenge were you trying to address with Rudra Innovative Software?

In 2013, we had a special website program that needed to be built. That was our first challenge in a series of separate projects.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Prior to the website program project, we gave them smaller jobs to evaluate their performance. We then decided to engage and asked them to redo our website. The site had patient survey functionalities that were tied into our desktop app. The team built a web service interface for a Windows application to accommodate the existing functionality.

To date, the Windows interface is our biggest project with them. Subsequent projects included building tools from scratch and improving existing applications.

We had 2 developers work on the project. Other projects have had anywhere between 1-4 developers.

How did you come to work with Rudra Innovative Software?

We found them by searching developers on oDesk [now known as Upwork]. The smaller tasks were part of our process to build a relationship before engaging them on the main business challenge. At this point, we were working with other development firms. We wanted to award the large project to a team we already knew, and assessed them on quality and communication.

We spent $20,000 on the Windows application interface.

Work on this project started February 2013 and ended May 2013.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The app worked and its functionality was reliable. The team quickly fixed any bugs that appeared. Compared to other developers, they were above average in coding.

How did Rudra Innovative Software perform from a project management standpoint?

As with most overseas developers, they worked during their operating hours and then sent us the updates. We did testing during our workday and sent the results back to them. We used Excel for task lists and communicated via Skype and email. There were a few hours each day when we could interact in real time.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re a full-service operation with graphic artists, UI designers, and mobile app designers for both iOS and Android tablets. That range of services has made the engagement convenient for us.

We’ve worked with individual contractors that did not have the resources to be full-service, which led to inconsistent results. With Rudra, we have flexibility in what we can request. They will staff teams according to the project’s scope.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We’d like to have a bug-free coding, but that’s unrealistic. Overall, we can’t highlight anything to fault them on.

Give them specific and clear specs. That will maximize the engagement’s positive effects on on-going business strategies. The team has many competencies, so the more they understand goals and objectives, the better positioned they are to help.
