How did you select this vendor?
We found them through our network. However, we also talked to multiple other providers and found their knowledge on SEO/growth marketing was more extensive. They made impressive suggestions when we initially approached them with our project, so we felt confident they could deliver impactful results.
Describe the project in detail.
We started off with a long launch meeting explaining our current processes, where we were lacking, and the end goal we wanted to achieve. As they were quite familiar with our industry (eCommerce) the next step was for them to propose a strategy and 3 month plan.
They did extensive research into us and our competition and found the best way for us to grow was through SEO and growth marketing on LinkedIn - they then proposed a content plan/timeline and how it would impact our business.
Every step of their preparation was shared with us along the way and we collaboratively came to conclusions that worked on both ends. They shared all their research with us and were open to answer all the questions we had about the nuances, process, and how we could use it later.
They then began creating the first (of 3) outlines for skyscraper articles for our blog, which we then contributed to, edited, and approved together. They then wrote the content for us, we posted it, and they prepared a linkbuilding strategy full of actionable outreach and templates for us.
They also instructed us on how to promote our content effectively on LinkedIn by explaining the strategy and showing us the relevant groups, content style, posting style, and the internal things we had to do to achieve results.
What was the team composition?
We had 2 main points of contact (Growthhacker and Content Strategist - also the founders) who always replied quickly. Initially we started off working via email, but then moved to Slack. We had a few in-person meetings, but most was done online. While their team continued to grow, we always stayed in contact with those 2 and still do to this day.
