What business challenge were you trying to address with Rogy Productions?

We wanted to find a local firm that could do aerial shots of a job site of 215 units which is under construction here in San Antonio on a monthly basis. The site is about four city blocks.

SOLUTION

Please describe the scope of their involvement in greater detail.

They provided us with both aerial photography and video using a drone. The photographs were taken on a monthly basis and Rogy Productions put them into a time lapse video.

How did you come to work with Rogy Productions?

I searched a number of local firms that could do aerial photography in San Antonio. Rogy Productions came up on the internet, and when we were ready to kick off the construction, we discussed using their services. We are happy that we decided to go with them because the photos they’ve taken have been really crisp.

Could you provide a sense of the size of this initiative in financial terms?

The project was between $10,000 and $12,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We are currently working with them.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Could you share any statistics or metrics from this engagement?

Because we’re still in the middle of construction, metrics are a bit tough. Our partners look for their photos every month because they’re using them for presentations. Overall, feedback has been good.

How did Rogy Productions perform from a project management standpoint?

Rogy Productions' project management has been great. Our communication is up front and revisions have all been timely. They have provided us with several options that we were able to choose from. When I needed some photos ahead of our time schedule, they’ve been able to accommodate us.

What distinguishes Rogy Productions from other providers?

Roger [the founder] is really great. I haven’t had a lot of interaction with anyone else. All of his references had only good things to say about him. Now that I’ve had the opportunity to work with him, everything that everyone said has been really consistent.

Is there anything Rogy Productions could have improved or done differently?

No, we have had a good experience working with them.

What business challenge were you trying to address with Rogy Productions?

We needed help with video production for a couple different videos.

Please describe the scope of their involvement in greater detail.

We’ve had them develop 10 videos for us. They used drones to get the footage and there was no script involved. They provided Spanish translation for the interviews and we collaborated on editing. They would come to us with their edits and we would make comments.

How did you come to work with Rogy Productions?

At the beginning of April [2016] we were looking at some video production companies. We got three quotes, and Rogy Productions came in under budget. We saw one of their past projects for School Choice which we really liked. That’s the main reason we chose them.

Could you provide a sense of the size of this initiative in financial terms?

Both jobs were under $10,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

These are completed but the rally happens every other year while the conference happens annually. If we do videos again, I see no reason why we wouldn’t use them again.

Could you share any statistics or metrics from this engagement?

The videos are posted on our channels on Vimeo and YouTube. We’ve also sent emails to them to promote next year’s conference in October. The response has been overwhelming.

What distinguishes Rogy Productions from other providers?

Rogy Productions is very personable and they collaborate well with us. The fact that they are bilingual was a huge benefit to us.

Is there anything Rogy Productions could have improved or done differently?

In the beginning, our process of editing wasted a lot of time. We were sending things back and forth, but we have since rectified this issue. Other than that, they’re a great group.

Our organization is Susan G. Komen San Antonio. We raise funds to provide breast cancer services in the local community for people who cannot afford those services.

I am the development director here.

What business challenge were you trying to address with Rogy Productions?

We have a big national brand, but we are a local chapter of a national nonprofit. The challenge is most people associate us with that national organization, which is good, but they tend not to realize we are in San Antonio and raise money for people in San Antonio.

We needed a video produced because we were having some difficulties telling the story of our organization, what we do, and getting it to stick, but we could not afford to pay for high-quality production services.

SOLUTION

Please describe the scope of their involvement in detail.

One of the things that was so amazing was they took care of everything with little to no guidance. Roger [founder of Rogy Productions] is such a great artist. We needed to tell our story, what we do locally, and how we help people who need help the most with services. He understood that right away, so we let him have full reign.

He provided a video with drone footage at our Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. He was able to find the best people to interview in a crowd of 21,000. The questions he asked them brought the best out of all of the people who gave testimonies on the video. He told our story better than we ever could have, which was impressive.

How did you come to work with Rogy Productions?

They came recommended by a friend of the organization. 

Could you provide a sense of the size of this initiative in financial terms?

When we were introduced to him, he was more than willing to help. It's been two years now since we've worked with him. Rogy Productions has produced two amazing videos as a donation. We know he's a small shop but he was really passionate about getting our messages out. The value of the project was $5,000. They've done it for two years, so it's $10,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We just completed the last project.

Could you share any statistics or metrics from this engagement?

The video is a tool that we've been using for the event sponsors, our 50,000-person database, and fundraisers. It gets people excited to come the next year and encourages more sponsors to be involved. This is because Roger was able to show viewers not only how many people participate but the emotional connection that comes with a race like ours. It has definitely brought more money in because people see what we do, which has helped us build a better relationship with the local community.

How did Rogy Productions perform from a project management standpoint?

They did perfectly. The whole process was seamless; we didn't have to think about it. They always kept us up to date on deliverables and when we could expect things. We're used to being the charity case and at the bottom of the list. We know, sometimes, that means things will take a little longer. With Rogy Productions, that was not the case. He treated us like a paid client, and we got deliverables very fast. We were able to get changes and edits, which were very few, completed very quickly. He's very organized with a great, professional, and positive team.

What distinguishes Rogy Productions from other providers?

The team at Rogy Productions is 100% connected to their work physically, emotionally, and artistically. It shows in the way they deal with their clients, and in the final product. Roger has a wealth of knowledge and uses everything at his disposal to make the product look good. The whole team has good customer service.

Is there anything Rogy Productions could have improved or done differently?

No. I couldn't even come up with something.
