I am a partner of Inovent Ltd., a new online shop for marketing and communication solutions.

What challenge were you trying to address with Rockon Tech?

Our goal was to build a new lead-generation tool from scratch to grow business in Switzerland.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Rockon Tech developed an online shop that would act as a lead-generation tool. They handled layout and developed the store from scratch.

How did you come to work with Rockon Tech?

They contacted us initially. I responded to their proposal since I thought it’d be useful to have a team that could establish digital solutions. We had a pilot project in order to test how well their team worked with us.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Rockon Tech in March of 2017. The first contact may have been earlier. The project is finished.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or impact of the engagement?

It’s too early to measure success since we only presented the platform to our client last week. It will take some time to receive a response from the market. We are working on the site promotion ourselves.

How did Rockon Tech perform from a project management standpoint?

They were always on time. We had a single point of contact from Rockon Tech, who I liked working with. Our teams have different cultural backgrounds, but we managed to collaborate well. Whenever I had an issue, their response time was shockingly fast.

Are there any areas Rockon Tech could improve?

To help their German-speaking clients, someone who can speak the language should be onboarded for digital projects. It makes it much easier to discuss the work, and it would be a good improvement for Rockon Tech if they want to expand their business in the German region. We’ve had to correct many spelling errors that were unacceptable for our agency. But, these concerns were small, and we always found a solution.

We are a design and technology company specializing in UI [user interface] design, big-build websites and things of this nature. We have a technology department in London, UK, one in Bulgaria, and one in New York which deals with UX [user experience] and creative elements.

I am the head of technology for the company. My role is to oversee our technology development in London.

What challenge were you trying to address with Rockon Tech Agency?

Since we have been working on larger websites, resources can become tight within our own team, so I wanted to have a third party option for channeling our extra work.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We tend to undertake the design and UX portions in London, based on which Rockon Tech Agency makes the actual technical build. We also take on much of the technical planning ourselves, scoping out projects based on conversations with clients.

How did you come to work with Rockon Tech Agency?

Rockon Tech Agency's founder emailed me. I decided to reach back to him and see what he had to offer.

We started working with Rockon Tech Agency in December 2015. The relationship is ongoing.

Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

Rockon Tech Agency is a good developer. We are used to using our in-house team, so we have a good understanding around how stuff is put together. As with any company being on-boarded for the first time, there will be a short period of getting up to speed with expectations. Although there was some back and forth during our first project, Rockon Tech Agency got it up and running quickly, which was the main requirement from the client.

How did Rockon Tech Agency perform from a project management standpoint?

We have had ups and downs in terms of language, but their principal has responded promptly, assigning English-speaking project managers or engaged with the project himself. After this issue was resolved, the collaboration was good.

What did you find most impressive about Rockon Tech Agency?

Rockon Tech Agency provides good value. They've often come significantly under budget, compared to what other teams can provide. We only onboard them on smaller projects, like WordPress builds, but Rockon Tech Agency's contribution is enough to allow our other teams to work on different tasks, knowing that the work is being handled by a partner who will take care of things.

Rockon Tech Agency provided service on our projects even after they were completed. They made the necessary changes and ensured that we were happy. There was a lot of flexibility on both our sides in order to make sure the project was delivered well.

Are there any areas Rockon Tech Agency could improve?

If Rockon Tech Agency had one or two more project managers who were fluent in English, it would help their company and allow the owner to be less involved. Having said that, he's doing a good job of running the company and managing projects, so it's not a big issue for us.
