Consultant for a sport company that wants to develop their e-commerce activities.

For what projects/services did your company hire RockLab, and what were your goals?

An existing e-commerce website had to be re-designed completely into a new look M2 store. Challanges was the new look with the existing products, mobile friendly and speed optimalization.

How did you select RockLab and what were the deciding factors?

They completed the job super good. All requirements were met and there was never a 'no, we can't do this' type of reply. Always willing to look for a solution fitting for the situation.

Download the 'old' products and import them into the new store. New customized looks and catalog feel was to be applied (quite some customization in front- and backend). Main technoligy was the M2 backoffice supported with several plugins, customized solutions and requests for speed optimalization.

We had one contact person that talked with several developers within Rocklab. All outstanding work and willing to modify when needed.

Fully delivered project that required the needs at the beginning of the project (and in some aspects even more!).

Communication by chat, very personal and during business hours.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They can offer it all from backend modifications to front end changes. As said before, they always found the fitting solution. Perfect.

I’m the founder of Care on Demand, a startup that offers web-based services to match domiciliary care workers with care seekers.

For what projects/services did your company hire RockLab?

Our whole business model depended on having the right online presence and technology. We wanted a professional looking, user-friendly, robust, and stable web application. The solution needed to enable care works to create profiles and care seekers to engage with the ones that met their needs.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted RockLab to build a fully-functional website and web app from scratch. We had a strict budget and list of desired outcomes and benefits, which needed to be fulfilled to make the project successful.

We shortlisted five developers and engaged them to ascertain their thoughts, plans, and ideas for the project. RockLab stood out immediately because they had a strong background with work similar to our requirements. They were knowledgeable, helpful, and particularly forthcoming during the selection process. Based on their lower quote, we decided RockLab could deliver high-quality service at a competitive price.

First, we had an in-depth discussion to review our vison. RockLab then created wireframes, mock-ups, and process flow schemas that formed the basis of the skeleton app. We divided the project into stages, each with accompanying milestones. Ultimately, the team designed, developed, and configured the website and web app.

We had one main point of contact.

The web app has been fantastic for our business because it allows us to operate exactly as we want. The team completed all milestones to a very high standard; the web app continues to function smoothly and efficiently. We can now concentrate on building a great brand, safe in the knowledge that the foundations of our technology and web presence are solid.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

They were professional and responsive throughout the project. The team complied with all project structures, plans, deadlines. The same resource managed all important milestones to ensure that no information slipped through gaps; we appreciated not having to deal with multiple project managers.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They always went the extra mile to show how much they cared about our company.

I cannot think of any significant areas that would need to be improved.

Their knowledge of Magento impressed us. Their honesty, trustworthiness and integrity in billing and work they did. They did the right thing on every occasion.
