I'm a marketing executive at a sports betting company. We provide bettors with better value and more competitive odds compared to traditional bookmakers.

What challenge were you trying to address with RockApp?

We needed support bringing qualified new users to our platform at a CPA that made sense for us, based on what we know of average player value.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

RockApp serves ads for us across programmatic display, which directs users to our app store listings. The ultimate goal is to download the app, register, and then play. The team handles media buying, and we manage the creative side.

What is the team composition?

We work with 2–5 teammates from RockApp.

How did you come to work with RockApp?

They reached out to us on LinkedIn. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in August 2024, and the engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We have a main KPI of first deposits, and we only pay a CPA for this KPI and nothing else. As such, we can see this KPI clearly growing or not based on the budgets we set. We've seen some mixed results but generally we have indeed scaled in line with our spending. We also look at registrations to ensure the quality of registrations is decent. This way, we can re-engage with users at a later point if they don't immediately make a first deposit. Thankfully the quality of registrations is also good from RockApp.

How did RockApp perform from a project management standpoint?

RockApp is quite responsive and has always been quick to action changes or launches for us. We communicate via email and messaging apps.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I'm impressed by RockApp's responsiveness and quick turnaround for launches and changes to campaigns.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could keep tighter control on the quality of traffic since we've had some occasions of fraud and very low-quality installs coming in. They were at least transparent when these instances occurred and worked to fix them promptly.
