We sell refurbished electronics in various countries, including Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines, primarily focusing on smart devices (phones, tablets, and computers, to some extent).

I am the founder and CEO of the company.

What challenge were you trying to address with RobustTechHouse?

We were looking for a company that could help us build our e-commerce website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

RobustTechHouse built our e-commerce engine, website, and online store. The platform utilizes the Spree backend system.

We originally intended to build a mobile app as a store front, but it was not completed due to some delays on our side. RobustTechHouse scoped and designed it for us; they will also be the ones to develop it.

How did you come to work with RobustTechHouse?

I know one of RobustTechHouse's owners. He paid a visit and described what the company could do for us. Based on this, we chose RobustTechHouse for our website development.

How much have you invested with RobustTechHouse?

The cost of RobustTechHouse's work has been in the region of $30,000 to $40,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with RobustTechHouse two years ago. The development took a total of six months to complete. RobustTechHouse continues to maintain our site and provide minor enhancements.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

Before engaging RobustTechHouse, we were using an old e-commerce site which had an amateurish look. Their team reworked our entire site into a much more professional looking and robust platform. Since then, we have seen a significant increase in terms of traffic and conversions.

We used to have fewer than 10 orders per week; since we were new to e-commerce ourselves, most of our sales were being made offline at the time. Since embarking on the new platform, we have increased numbers to several hundred orders per week.

How did RobustTechHouse perform from a project management standpoint?

RobustTechHouse's project manager is quite good. She lived up to our expectations in terms of delivery and had a good sense of business requirements. Overall, the project was well managed, despite working with a remote team in Vietnam. There were times when we needed to rush items, but RobustTechHouse pulled through most of the time. We used Slack for tracking the development and for communicating with the team.

What did you find most impressive about RobustTechHouse?

RobustTechHouse has a very good manager who is able to set customers' expectations in terms of requirements and the capabilities of the backend team. Overall, RobustTechHouse is strong in terms of project management. They can get things done on time and will rush in order to prevent delays.

Are there any areas RobustTechHouse could improve?

RobustTechHouse is lacking in skill sets for app development, which is one of the reasons for the delay in our own project.
