Into The Wild - $500,000 Pitch Winning Video

Vision: Into The Wild (ITW) is a lifestyle hospitality brand based in Los Angeles, they were seeking an investment of half a million dollars to bring their new brand to life incorporating street food, art, co-working and networking spaces. The video had to demonstrate to investors how ITW were going to transform the street food space as well as introduce new opportunities into the industry. We got to work on creating the perfect
pitch video. Since street food originated in the US in the 17th century we had to build on that and show the renewed value that ITW were bringing into the market. Brief: The brief was a lot more complex as ITW needed to secure investment in the US to open 3 venues in LA in 5 years. The US is the birthplace of street food so we had to create a pitch video that tapped into the US culture. The Ideas, Film, Delivery and Result: We spent several weeks developing a storyboard, script and visuals to create the right tone for the pitch video. The video had to keep investors entertained long enough to absorb the entire concept so we used drone footage, vibrant crowd shots, a green screen western scene, industry statistics and high-res footage and stills from locations to really bring this business to life. Pitch videos need to be punchy and to the point. They require a high level of concentration, the video had to excite and follow a consistent tempo in order to entertain investors and spark interest in investing $500,000. The video was viewed more than 15,000 times in 3 days and had several offers from investors.

The £250,000 Pitch Winning Video

Brief

The brief was simple; create us a pitch video that helps secure a £250,000 investment on Crowdcude and you have 2 weeks to do it. The deadline was indeed tight, but we knew we could produce them something exceptional, we are well experienced in creating outstanding content in small timeframes.

We needed to

produce a film which not only illustrated their vision but also energized the investors so much so, that they would invest £250,000 into their business. Our approach was to create a film that would secure investment and really emphasis the need for a new more affordable service base like Work Club HQ as similar competitors like WeWork can be more expensive and not always sustainable for early stage start-ups, remote workers and even small businesses. The Ideas, Film, Delivery and Results…

A number of creative pitches were drafted so they had a few ideas to choose from. The film had to bring to life the demand for this type of service in London; it also had to be engaging, entertaining, and fun. We knew a lot was on the line so we came up with several concepts and spent days filming to ensure we had enough quality footage to use.

Upon producing the film, we thought it would be a good idea to include some intricate shots of the website in action finding locations in London to work from, additionally some graphics (GFX) were added to highlight and draw attention to that key market research and statistics.

Within 4 days of the campaign going live, WorkClub had secured their target of £250k. We were able to create such a powerful and convincing video simply because the business works. We had all the proof, we just needed to be able to present that proof in an exciting fashion we did that through a video that excited and motivated investors to get involved.

We had a goal to capture the entire event on video so that we can support our amazing speakers capture their engaged performances on stage. We also had a goal to create a video reel we can play after the event had taken place to share with our future supporters of our events.

How did you select this vendor?

This was an organic connections which speaks a lot about Rightlane Productions and the value they provide. We were connected to Thomas and the team at Rightlane Productions from a dear friend. It was a very natural thing for us to come together and do work with them when we saw their expertise and all the value they have brought to so many peoples events.

Once we decided to work together, they really were on top of their game. While in productions, the teams can get very busy which allows for important things to slip through the cracks. With Rightlane incharge, that was almost impossible. They followed up with key details that would assist us in receiving only the highest quality video. They had weekly meetings with us for months leading up to the event to insure our happiness... and also make sure we are aware of the requirements that their team would need to make this a huge success.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

They brought the GAME!! They showed up with a beautifully staffed team. Just enough to insure the work is captured and nothing is missed. What i truly appreciate about Rightlane is when we potentially were going to "miss" something great like an opportunity to interview our celebrities and VIP Speakers, the team would come alert us. They worked very intimately with our team. It didn't feel like we hired an outside team... it felt like we were working with gold... family... connection.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

I haven't run the numbers since the event... but I would like to share.... that our Founder of the City Summit and Gala passed away weeks after the 2020 City Summit & Gala took place. This made the "success" of our event feel diminished as the Founder and Light of our show had tragically passed away in a car accident.

WHAT I WANT TO SHARE ABOUT RIGHTLANE THAT PROVES EVERYTHING TO US.... after their entire commitment to us had already been fulfilled.... they went out of their way to produce an additional video for our Founder, Ryan Long's funeral. This truly touched our hearts and we are forever thankful.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Their team is amazing. They were so patient and understanding with the high pressure we were under. It didn't feel like it was between "their team" and "ours." It felt like we were one team working together on the same dream. It was encouraging to see Roberto, Barrie and other team members come forward to let us know where they saw minor fixes that would make our videography turn out so much better. I appreciate the flow that they operate with.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

What was most impressive is how they not only put up with us and our incredibly gift of creative chaos in our productions of this educational event and service to our social entepreneurs serving non profits. They had so many chances to complain as we missed the mark a couple times... and they never complained.

They made me focus on quick solutions and made the problems seem microscopic. Without their team being so on the ball, we would have missed a lot of the gold we were creating.

Are there any areas for improvement?

The only thing we need to improve right now, is getting our planet healthy again so that we can get the Rightlane Productions team back in action. You guys are so awesome and we are forever thankful.

We met once and spoke on the phone a few times, before I made the decision to go with Rightlane Productions.

The video was to tell the story about WorkClub. This included information about how we launched, why we were doing what we were doing, our mission, our goal and our funding target. Rightlane Productions took care of everything for us from strategy, script, storyboard, filming and production. My role was to be in the film and talk about WorkClub. Rightlane Production made this incredibly easy for me and they gave me a lot of confidence when talking in front of the camera - which usually does not come naturally to me.

I'm the Founder & CEO of Into The Wild, a lifestyle, events & hospitality brand based in Los Angeles. We design and build large scale, indoor & outdoor, street food arena's. We needed an Investor Video for a seed funding round to get the business off the ground.

What were your goals for this project?

Create a video that tells the story about who we are, what we've been doing in London, and what we aim to bring to LA. Given that we are not yet trading, and essentially wanting to raise capital for the first site, it's important to really sell the vision and the brand, and attract investors. We aim to raise a minimum of $500,000.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

Based on previous work we'd seen, some case studies, and a first meeting.

There was a second meeting, in which we delved deeper into our company, the team, our assets, the 'story', the brand, the message we wanted to deliver, and ultimately our goals short-term and beyond that. Within 1 week we had already shot most of the footage. Within 2 weeks there was a first draft of the video. Final edits hindered slightly due to Christmas and New Year period, but we now have a final edit which we're happy with.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

Fantastic. The editor set up a Whatsapp group with himself, Tom and I, which made communication quick and fluid between the 3 of us.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We have had great feedback from everyone we've shown the video to. It tells our story perfectly. A number of people are connecting us to potential investors off the back of watching the video. We're now able to commit to a crowdfunding pitch.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We had a clear deadline, pre-Christmas, for the edited draft. All the images and video assets were with the editor so it was really just a case of quick questions/responses and feedback throughout. We were in constant contact throughout the whole process.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

What really shocked me was the pace at which Rightlane picked this up and got going with it. Tom completely understood what we needed. They were just as excited as we were to create something special. No doubt, we will be working with Rightlane Productions again.

Are there any areas for improvement?

You can always find a way to speed up processes, and we did want the video completed in a 2-3 weeks.Quality is key though, and I would much rather have a better finished product, and wait a bit longer, than a rushed one with annoying defects.
