Cross-Platform Application Dev for Area Calculator App
"Considering the complexity of our problems, I was pleasantly surprised by how well they delivered."

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder of SketchAndCalc, an irregular area calculator that’s available on the web, mobile, and desktop. Our company has been around since 2008.
What challenge were you trying to address with ReZet?
I used to directly hire developers from marketplaces like Upwork, but I always encountered code quality issues. The developers I hired took shortcuts in their work. Since this happened year after year, our product became unstable.
To address this, I decided to partner with a company that could holistically look at my product and resolve the code quality issues. I was looking for an agency that could provide competent and trustworthy development resources.
What was the scope of their involvement?
ReZet provided development resources for our team. I was looking for a company that could provide developers with expertise on React, our app’s framework. There was a specific development stack that I was looking for, and ReZet felt comfortable that they could meet my needs — they had developers that had the necessary skillset.
During our initial meeting, I also mentioned to ReZet that I was in the process of releasing an education app on iOS and Android that required Flutter development resources. They said they didn’t have direct experience with Flutter at the time, but some of their developers have been playing with it. I was pleasantly surprised that they were able to jump on that project as well, in parallel to their work on SkechAndCalc, and deliver on the project’s remaining tasks.
Both SketchAndCalc and the education app had detailed tasks laid out in Trello. I published the Trello list and gave ReZet’s team access to Slack. Prior to engagement, they spent 2–3 days going through our Trello boards and Slack history, and they provided a very detailed spreadsheet of what should be addressed early on. I had that document reviewed by a developer friend to give me additional assurance, and we were both impressed with their assessment’s detail and scope.
One of the major challenges with SketchAndCalc was implementing a WebSocket to help us manage users having multiple accounts across platforms. We want to be able to offer the ability for companies to have team accounts — this means having multiple users logged in simultaneously across multiple platforms, which necessitated the implementation of WebSocket. This was not by any means a simple task, and ReZet gave us an accurate breakdown of what it would take in terms of time and man-hours.
We had gone through about three development cycles, one of which was for the education app. Now, we are moving into a phase where if I needed any ongoing support, I would be billed hourly.
What is the team composition?
I worked with a business development manager who managed the relationship and all billing aspects. They assigned me a senior developer that analyzed the project and came up with time and effort estimates. After that, I worked with a full-time developer that I engaged daily through Slack.
How did you come to work with ReZet?
I had previous experience working with one of Rezet’s developers. I was engaged with them on an Upwork contract, and they ended our contract to work for ReZet. Through our discussions, they recommended that I seek out and give ReZet a try.
Eventually, I ended up reaching out to ReZet and scheduling a meeting with their team. I spent 2–3 days researching them on social media, going through their website, and looking at some of the companies they partnered with. After our initial series of meetings, they provided a very detailed list of tasks and timelines.
How much have you invested with them?
I spent approximately $15,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our engagement lasted from May–September 2021. We’ve already launched the products to various stores, and unless we find problems along the way, that should complete our last development cycle. If I need support in the future, I’ll reach out to them.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The education app is just in beta mode, so I can’t yet provide any metrics around that app. Meanwhile, for SketchAndCalc, we had seen a 10% increase in monthly recurring revenue since engaging with ReZet.
How did ReZet perform from a project management standpoint?
ReZet was very good at project management. They started our engagement with a very detailed breakdown that included the implementation of WebSocket, and they followed through with their timelines.
After that part of the project, I managed Rezet directly through Trello. I was comfortable working with them and didn’t see the need to ask for detailed man-hours on every specific task. They did a good job and delivered as scheduled.
I received daily feedback and plans for the next day through Slack. We used Trello and Slack to manage tasks coming up in the following weeks. I only interacted with the business development manager if there was news about a Ukrainian holiday or the availability of their developers.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I haven’t had a lot of experience working with agencies since I’ve always worked directly with developers.
We had a billing discrepancy, and Rezet was able to address it in the subsequent billing cycle — that gave me a sense of comfort. Additionally, they jumped into the project when my main developer wasn’t available, yet they mobilized quickly and provided assistance. They had a pool of senior developers that helped me out when my main developer wasn’t available. Those two things impressed me.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I can’t think of anything.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Try them for a limited engagement to see how they perform. You risk nothing by giving them a go for a small task for 1–2 weeks, so that you can see how they perform. My experience up until now has been very positive. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend ReZet; in fact, I’ve already recommended them.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO and founder of a tech consultancy. We provide bespoke data transformation and solutions for corporations.
What challenge were you trying to address with ReZet?
We needed developers who could create a specialized web application.
What was the scope of their involvement?
ReZet first worked with our designer to produce the front- and backend of the web application. Next, the team conducted various performance tests and QA processes, and then they implemented the designs on a scalable microservice architecture. It’s still under development at the moment. The team is now working on integrating it with advanced data manipulation technologies.
What is the team composition?
Three full stack developers are working on the project.
How did you come to work with ReZet?
We met ReZet through one of our former employees, who knew the owner. We got in touch and realized they’d be a good fit.
What is the status of this engagement?
The project started on February 2021 and is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Our most significant metric comes from our clients and leads who have used the application, and we’ve received very positive feedback. They find the application engaging and functional, which is good to see. They’ve done a fantastic job on the app, which is starting to gain traction.
How did ReZet perform from a project management standpoint?
The ReZet team is very timely and organized. They’re friendly and very good at communicating. They also handle any disputes and queries quickly, so it’s been a good experience.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’re highly professional — we’ve developed a good level of trust in their competence. Furthermore, the team is open and takes ownership of any mistakes, which they then resolve quickly.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, we’re very happy and content with their services.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Make sure you have a constructive environment for the team to work in.

Custom Software Development for Consulting Platform
"We could tell that ReZet was very diligent and thorough with the quality of the code."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder and managing partner of a company called Outvisory. It’s a platform that seeks to connect industry experts, mentors, and coaches with small business owners and entrepreneurs to give them advice and insights.
What challenge were you trying to address with ReZet?
When I was trying to build out the platform, I was essentially looking for software development companies that could take on the technology side of the development, since I’m not very technologically inclined. It was going to be a fairly complex project in terms of technical know-how, so I was looking for the right developers with the right skill sets.
What was the scope of their involvement?
ReZet helped me build an integrated appointment scheduling, video conferencing, calling, and payment processing platform all in one. What made the project complicated is the calendar and appointment feature, because we had to deal with time zone differences and conflicts — we also had to link video and audio features such as Zoom to the calendar, and had to make sure the activities were synced to the scheduled appointments. Apart from that, we also had to take care of the session times, bandwidth clarity, and external APIs.
We relied on different providers for all the integrations we did on the platform. We used Vonage as part of the API for the video calling and streaming, and used another provider for the payment processing to make the experience seamless.
What is the team composition?
I worked with two software engineers and one graphic designer.
How did you come to work with ReZet?
I had a software developer who I’ve worked with in the past, and I reached out to him when I was looking to begin Outvisory. He couldn’t help me build it out, so he put me in touch with the project manager of ReZet instead.
How much have you invested with them?
We invested around $50,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from June 2020–May 2021.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The way I measured the success of the project was very simple. I just wanted ReZet to produce the end results in terms of usable code in a fairly fast manner. We had a QA session to check the work, and the platform was always just about ready for the production line — there weren’t a lot of bugs in many of the proposals. The code was just really solid right out of the gate, and there were very few times when we had any issues that needed to be fixed.
We could tell that ReZet was very diligent and thorough with the quality of the code, and in terms of me being not technologically savvy, I was able to communicate what I needed the engineer to do from a technological standpoint — which they were able to understand and digest. The communication was just incredibly efficient, and I didn’t have to worry about bug fixes or shut down because the quality of the code was so stable.
How did ReZet perform from a project management standpoint?
From day one, ReZet was incredibly communicative, thoughtful in their responses, and they were the best in class when it came to project management. We were supposed to be only working together for three months, but we ended up expanding to about 12 months, because I was very pleased with their work.
The partnership was hard sometimes, but they performed exceptionally well. They provided me with hourly estimates and it was spot on — they weren’t just doing the work so they could spend more time and make as much money, they would always push back and make sure if we really want to implement something.
We felt very comfortable that they were always doing things for my best interest from a financial standpoint.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We’re impressed by their communication. ReZet had a great project manager who was on top of our project, and they gave me daily updates on what had been done, and what the plans were for the next days. We typically communicated through Slack, which was exceptional, as I didn’t have to wonder for 2–3 days about the progress.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I’ve had an amazing experience working with them. They did a fantastic job of connecting the dots and understanding my project, so I don’t have anything remotely average to say about them.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I would absolutely say to use them. It’s fair to say that it doesn’t get better than ReZet in my line of work. Be very descriptive and detailed in terms of understanding the scope of what you want to build.

Please describe your company and your position there.
ChangeAgents are international experts working with policymakers, associations, and leading organisations to accelerate the adoption of innovative processes, and protocols across the Built Environment. I'm the managing Director of ChangeAgents AEC pty ltd.
For what projects/services did your company hire ReZet, and what were your goals?
After working with independent developers for a couple of years, and after our portfolio of projects has grown, we engaged ReZet so it can help us in better managing our software development activities. Working with a company like ReZet removes the burden of finding, recruiting, and managing development staff and provides access to a pool of talent that is difficult to identify without such expertise.
How did you select ReZet and what were the deciding factors?
The Web Developer that was working with us has accepted a senior position at ReZet. Through his introduction and our subsequent interviews with ReZet's leadership and technical teams, we have identified an opportunity to expand our offerings by working with them. This was a big step for us and followed previously unsuccessful attempts to engage with similar companies.
ReZet presented itself as highly professional, well-structured, and cost-sensitive. It was and still is a good fit for us.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
There are a couple of web development projects that we are currently engaging with ReZet. The main one is an Assessment Management tool that includes a survey engine and semantic solution for analysing assessment data. There are also modules for 3rd part assessors to use our platform and serve their own clients.
The technology stack used to deliver the Single Page Application is Django Rest Framework with a React Front End. The platform also benefits from embedded solutions similar to PowerBI to assist in data analytics. The UI is highly specialised for the market served and is available in multiple languages.
How many people from the ReZet team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We are currently working with a Fullstack developer and an FE developer (both are full-time). Another two staff from ReZet will soon join the growing team. These staff are also supported by a Project Manager and senior technical expertise which are available on-demand as part of our agreement.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
The projects we work on are quite challenging and the same solution needs to be tailored to different client requirements. Working with ReZet, I have come to rely upon their expertise and the knowledge that they will be able to identify the right talent as our requirements change.
As measurable outcomes go, the clients we work with are highly satisfied with the solutions we deliver and this due in no small part to the efforts of the motivated ReZet staff.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
Project Management is mostly conducted by our company but we can rely on IT project management provided by ReZet on-demand. Tasks that need to be delivered are detailed in online PM solutions and communication is conducted also online through Slack.
When needed, virtual meetings are set up to discuss any blockers or new modules/features that need discussion and their technical recommendations. Communication is frequent, professional and very friendly which makes it quite easy to rely on them to resolve issues as they arise and to suggest better technical solutions when needed.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
It is a young company with a lot of talent. I'm impressed by their friendliness and the care they give to their staff.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
One area that may require attention is language competence. Some of the staff I've worked with have a good hold of the English language. This can be improved. Having said that, I recently learned that the company offers English language classes to its developers which is an excellent strategy to motivate staff and improve their ability to communicate in their client's preferred language.
