COVID put the restaurant industry in deep-fried trouble. The Takeout Day organizers asked us to help them put a nationwide “save the restos” program together in two weeks. It was an honour to work on this one.

French’s Ketchup noticed a spike in brand interest when they took over an abandoned Heinz plant in Eastern Ontario. They wanted to leverage that fact with their foodservice clients. Fortunately, the story kind of told itself.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I've worked with Re:word in my last two companies (Reno-Assistance & now Stanley Security).
Reno-Assistance: a company that refers contractors to customers, on many different renovation projects.
Stanley Security (Canadian division): Provides security systems for residential & commercial customers.
In both companies, I had a Digital Marketing role, and my role in both places is about making the company rank on Google to get more traffic, and then more leads.
For what projects/services did your company hire Re:word Content Co.?
We hired Dan from Re:word in both companies so he could help us write quality content in English for our blogs (Note: English isn't our first language, so we needed an expert to write them first, and then we would ourselves translate everything back in French.)
What were your goals for this project?
To rank around specific keywords that we want to rank for, where we knew that if we ranked properly on Google, we would get more traffic on our website. Also, we needed quality content for customers to get caught in the ''storyline'' of our blogs, to make sure they stay on the pages and want to read more quality content.
How did you select Re:word Content Co.?
When working at Reno-Assistance, we found them originally on the web and contacted them for a ''test'' blog. They did well and we signed with them for many blog posts.
When I switched companies, I contacted directly Dan from Re:word because I knew what he was capable of doing, and wanted to keep that quality standard.
Describe the scope of their work in detail.
With Reno-Assistance, Dan provided me with around 30 blogs (about 500-600 per blog). With Stanley Security, Dan provided so far 20 product pages (around 700 words per page) + 22 blogs (around 500-600 words per blog), and every two weeks, I send him a new order of 5 blogs.
To start off, I always give Dan the keywords/subjects that I want them to write around (if I have specific data or products mention I would provide them with links or attached pieces), and then Dan on his side will do an extra search to complete the blogs with stats, important data, etc.
What was the team composition?
On my end, I'm always in contact with the same person, Dan. I didn't speak to anyone else, but it feels like Dan has a great team behind him.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We've seen so far (in both business) an increase in rankings and traffic, that we can definitely associate with the text writing that Dan has offered.
Has an example, back in April 2019 when I joined Stanley Security Canada and I started working with Dan, our Canadian website had around 50 keywords where we ranked on Google (positions 1-100).
As of today, Jan 13th, 2021, we have more than 2500 ranking keywords (positions 1-100) on Google. That helped us obtain way more organic traffic and way more leads. We can attribute a big part of that success to Re:word's work.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Dan always answers quickly to my emails/calls and he always respects my deliverable deadlines.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
With this service, we have ''reviews'' options on each text. So far with Stanley Security, I used that ''review'' option only one time (and they provided us more than 40 texts so far). So most of the time, they got it right and up to our standards on the first try!
Are there any areas for improvement?
Not anything in particular that I've noted.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the National Content Marketing Team Lead at BDO Canada. BDO is a professional services firm that provides assurance, accounting, tax, and advisory services to a broad range of clients across the country.
For what projects/services did your company hire Re:word Content Co.?
We hired Re:word to support our team with a wide variety of projects on an ongoing basis. These including creating and reviewing content for articles/blog posts, email and social media copy, infographics, bios, etc.
We often rely on Re:word for content projects that have short and/or urgent turnaround times.
What were your goals for this project?
Our ongoing goals are to create content that is of value to our clients and prospects, and supports our firm's business goals.
How did you select Re:word Content Co.?
Re:word was first hired by a member of our team who has since left the organization, however we continue to work with them for their ability to produce creative, engaging copy as well as their quick response times, reliability on deadlines, and positive attitude.
Describe the scope of their work in detail.
The scope of their work for us is broad. Our firm offers a wide range of tax, assurance, accounting, and advisory services, and serves a variety of industries.
While we have an in-house content team, we require additional support when there is an overflow of work.
Re:word supports us by reviewing technical content, as well as writing and editing content that focuses on more general business topics.
What was the team composition?
Typically we work directly with Dan and Gina.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
A firm like ours has a wide variety of services and industries, and learning the style and tone required can be challenging, but Re:word has adapted to deliver content that suits our style.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
The workflow is effective. Re:word is responsive to requests and always dependable on deadlines.
For small projects or reviews, we only need to email them. For new and more in-depth content pieces, we provide a creative brief with requirements and background information. Feedback from our stakeholders is incorporated with ease.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Dan and Gina are always quick to respond to our requests, and have a positive, collaborative attitude.
We sometimes need support on urgent requests and the response is always "Yes we'd be happy to help." When there are unavoidable scheduling issues, they work with us to find a solution.
Through Re:word Content Co.'s writing, the marketing manager has seen an increase in rankings and traffic in both businesses. The team did extra research on the topics to supply statistics and other important details. They were quick to respond and timely in delivering the outputs.
