Brand for razors and other personal care products sold across all countries in Europe. My responsibilities relied on the overall project management and the country rollout coordination.

For what projects/services did your company hire Retain, and what were your goals?

Due to limited ressources and timings, the new DTC needed to be developed in a very strict timeline (less than 12 weeks). We put the focus on the product detail pages and the checkout process. The overall page performance was influenced by the lack of optimized content.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We already had a very strong partnership before. The decisive point was their knowledge in our brand strategy, technical solution and E2E implementation (from design + strategy to build) .

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The project has been delivered in time without any big issues. The system is running stable and we started an ongoing process of improving the overall experience. In general the checkout process was well designed.

We have used different kind of communication tools during the different phases. We mainly used slack, jira, mails and digital standups.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The very open, transparent and good communication. There is allways the feeling of working as a big team and the boundaries between client and agency disappeared more and more. We have been working on the same goals to deliver this project.

Are there any areas for improvement?

As we had no bigger issues and a quite smooth rollout I would say no. Maybe SEO is a part for further improvement.

We wanted to understand how a user would interact with the website and if the User Experience was easy and intuitive.

We have known the team at Retain for a number of years and have worked with them on a number of projects in the past.

We worked with Retain to recruit a spectrum of different users in order to test the client website. We then interviewed them in the user testing studio, following their movements and interactions on the product. We were able to take the insights learnt and apply them to the client's website project.

What was the team composition?

We worked with a small team to interview and collate the results.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The testing was a massive success and allowed us to make significant changes to the client product before the release to the public.

We had excellent communication throughout the process

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Retain team successfully delivered the project within the stipulated timelines for a very competitive price compared to the next closest competitor - which was a great feat particularly considering the ambitious timelines.

The success of the project helped my client achieve the goal of entering into eCommerce B2C space which involved major transformation for an organisation that was heavily B2B focussed

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

The co-ordination skills and Project Managements skills were very effective. Plans were managed effectively and communications were immaculate

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The team consists of a clever bunch of people who make complex things look easy. Certainly with respect to WooCommerce development they knew what they were doing and they knew it well.

Their efforts in quickly integrating with brand new vendors/3rd parties particularly stands out and demonstrates their agility and adaptability!

Are there any areas for improvement?

One potential area could be to increase focus on documentation which is very important while working with large clients. However considering the projects very strict timelines it was understandable that documentation wasn’t at the forefront!

To gain a website which can handle the complex demands of our service, with the ability to be flexible and accompanying for future developments.

We now have a well designed, efficient, scalable and dynamic website thanks to the team at Retain. Changes and new developments to our service have been very smooth thanks to the clean coding and forward-thinking done while creating the website.

Fast and effective communication, we used Trello to organise tasks. All in all it was very effective.

They really listened to us, exploring our demands to make suggestions and help facilitate decisions. They went the extra mile.
