A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m a co-owner of Bluebird Café.
What challenge were you trying to address with Restaurant Outreach?
We brought them on for social media services. Additionally, we wanted to rebrand because we upgraded our menu. We gave it a new vibe so we wanted a fresh new look in efforts to capture our audience members who fall between 18–28 years old.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Restaurant Outreach took our loyalty list and entered in everyone’s birthdays as well as managed promotions. They post on our social media accounts such as Instagram, Facebook, and Nextdoor. We also send out email blasts with promotions. Additionally, they installed our Wi-Fi and set up our online ordering system.
What is the team composition?
We work with Ian (Operations &Marketing Consultant) and Stefanie (Digital Marketing Specialist).
How did you come to work with Restaurant Outreach?
We found them at a restaurant show in Denver.
How much have you invested with them?
We pay $1,400 a month.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our ongoing engagement started in October 2019.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Some of our customers told us that they found us through the banner ad on the bottom of their game apps. I think that’s very interesting. It’s hard to gauge metrics because of the pandemic.
How did Restaurant Outreach perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re excellent at getting back to us and communicating. They’re responsive in trying to solve any problem. If we have a technical issue, Ian takes care of it.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I’m most impressed with their communication. I can call or text them and it’s addressed immediately.
Are there any areas they could improve?
The Facebook posting could be a little more creative. I’ve worked on that with them, expressing that I don’t want the posts to sound so stiff, but rather conversational. That’s a minor issue though because I can go in and tell them what I want the post to say.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Give them direction on how you want the feel of your messages to be in terms of posting.
