Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the Senior Manager of Marketing Communications for Metabo HPT which produces and sells power tools for North America.
For what projects/services did your company hire REMEDY, and what were your goals?
We hired Remedy to help us create engaging and unique video content for select power tools in our lineup. In the crowded power tool market- we needed a "feel" to help set our tools apart from the competition. Remedy has the ability to tell a story that not only achieves our need to tell key features of the tools, but is shot and edited in a way to keep the end user engaged as most people have very short attention spans these days.
How did you select this vendor?
We were changing our company name back in 2018 from Hitachi Power Tools to Metabo HPT. With that name change, we were launching a whole new set of tools to help promote the name change and we were searching for a company to help create these videos.
Remedy was one of several we met with and their work really impressed us, their proximity to our HQ was a big bonus and the people we met were just really fun and cutting edge so they just felt like the right partner and we have not been disappointed.
Describe the scope of their work in detail, including any steps and the final deliverables.
We've been working with them for two years now, but in the beginning we met face to face and explained our business and what we were looking for on our projects. They sent us a proposal and we worked back and forth to come up with the final deliverables and estimates. Once we set dates, they ensured we were providing the information needed so they could brainstorm on their end.
Now I have such complete trust in their ability so while we are extremely busy we are able to give them bullets for what specs we want to features, a list of tools we want to shoot and the audience, any scene requests and they come back to us with excellent recommendations. I have been able to rely on them to do so much more of the heavy lifting and they deliver.
We meet for the shoot dates, they are extremely hospitable and accommodating and everyone on their team is professional and personable. We go back and forth with their online editing preview system and are able to work back and forth that way- however if there is ever an issue or concern- I can give them a call or email and they always take care of my concerns right away.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
I work directly with the owner Jamie and his wife Jennifer who manages a lot of the production and details. We also work with Taylor who communicates on the editing end of the project. However during the many shoot days we've had- I've been able to know a lot of members of their team. I am always impressed with everyone.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We launched a new unique compressor back in Oct. Prior to that we did a jobsite video shoot on that one tool. The video was so engaging and interesting to watch even if you don't use a compressor! We launched it in Lowe's with the video content, the images they took during the shoot and our other marketing efforts.
That particular product has exceeded our expectations in sales out at Lowes. They want to order more now that they've seen the large demand for it. The success can be attributed to many things- however we know that having engaging content is so critical today so I believe the work that Remedy did on this video/images/social cut downs, web loops of videos played a large part in the ongoing success of this product.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
Remedy is a very young and hip group of people. They are always professional. They make working with them fun and relaxed, but they get the job done. With all the distractions I deal with at work, they make sure I am getting back to them with what I need to provide so they can do their part.
They've also really stepped up in helping us when we need tool accessories that we don't make, they will go purchase what is needed and even spray paint it so it's not branded in our videos. I've always been impressed by that initiative because it takes the stress off of me and we get the best results in the timeframe we have.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Really the people. They genuinely care about Metabo HPT and making exceptional content. We often have challenging timelines to meet. They've met them and made me look good!
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Honestly no.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the Marketing Director at Accent Decor. When it seems that the world can be full of so much of the same, Accent Decor finds great value in the power of new inspiration. From our fresh and innovative products, to our commitment to quality and excellence, we seek to offer design-focused vessels that provide continual inspiration for the floral, event, and home décor industries.
For what projects/services did your company hire Remedy Films?
We partnered with Remedy on a series of Tutorial Videos.
What were your goals for this project?
Provide end-users with detailed/valuable steps in bringing complex event products to life using strong visuals, easy-to-reference tutorials, and obtain expert tips/tricks from a talented designer (host). Leverage the videos both on web and social media.
How did you select this vendor?
- Research - In-person meetings / kick-offs - Proposal review/approval
Describe the video(s) and the process in detail.
- A series of 4 tutorial videos - each showcasing a single event product hosted by a professional floral designer. Roughly 10 minutes each, shot on-site at Form Factory Studios. Our host introduced the product, designed into the product and, finally, revealed the product - In partnership with Remedy we collaborated on the set, set location, video format, script development and logistics associated with set-up, shoot days and tear-down
What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?
It was thorough. There was a good bit of time between when we signed on the project and the actual shoot time. As we got closer to the shoot schedule, they provided instructions and kicked off project mgmt in a meaningful way.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Internally there was a great deal of excitement. Our customers immediately latched onto the videos - many asking for final files to share and use with their teams. Videos received healthy engagement on social media, views, etc.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Very effective.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
From the beginning they were very thorough and professional. The actual shoot days were the best - it was great to see the team and their technology in action.
Are there any areas for improvement?
The feedback that is top-of-mind is related to the actual videos - areas we would like to see more detailed shots, etc. This can all be remedied with clearer instructions within the script. Easy fix.

How did you select this vendor?
I had the great fortune of working with the Remedy Films team at Google. After joining Apartment List, I knew we needed to work with them to "level up" our marketing materials.

Together, we created a brief and script. They gave us a few ideas for the storyboard and art direction, we settled on a vision, and they brought it to life.

We're starting to implement the new video in our sales outreach and have gotten fantastic feedback. It's too soon to have quantifiable metrics, but everyone is blown away by its professionalism and creativity.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
It was fantastic! They were a complete pleasure to work with. Remedy Films felt like an extension of our team. They were always happy to support us, solve problems, offer guidance, and serve as our partners. We were so lucky to have them as our partners at every step of the way.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
I was amazed by their talent, work ethic, and eagerness to please. They were extraordinarily collaborative and always delivered with a smile. They accepted feedback, which sometimes contradicted our internal stakeholders, and always took it in stride. They had a great vision and took our company to the next level.
Are there any areas for improvement?
No, I would work with Remedy Films a million more times and can't wait to engage them in more projects.

Video Production for Manufacturing Company
“When they show up to film a project, they have everything outlined and they're good at sticking to their schedule.”

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I'm the director of marketing for the SharkBite and Cash Acme brands at Reliance Worldwide Corporation (RWC). We manufacture plumbing fittings, PEX pipe, valves, pipe support systems, firestops, DWV testing systems and water heater accessories. RWC products are sold under the SharkBite, HOLDRITE and Cash Acme brands.
What challenge were you trying to address with Remedy Films?
We've done a few different projects with Remedy, but we initially hired them to produce videos for a new plumbing system we launched last year, the SharkBite EvoPEX system. After completing that project, we worked with them to produce a series of testimonial videos and a TV commercial. We are now working on a new project to produce a series of “How To” videos.
What was the scope of their involvement?
At the outset, we came up with an outline of the key selling points and major features of our products. We went through this with Remedy so they could understand the context of our business, and then they developed their plans for how to film everything. EvoPEX is a new product, so we needed not just an overview video but also some training videos. Remedy put all of that together in a four-part series for us.
We wanted to humanize our brands more and connect with contractors more effectively. Our strategy there was to create a series of testimonial videos featuring contractors who use our products. Remedy worked with us to understand what kind of content we needed and then went on location with various contractors in order to interview, film, and photograph them. Based on that footage, they've assembled a collection of two-minute testimonial videos that we share on our website and social media channels.
More recently, they filmed a commercial for us that broadcast nationwide, and we're currently working with them on a new set of how to videos for a different product category.
What is the team composition?
We primarily work with Remedy's owner and director of production, Jamie Graff.
How did you come to work with Remedy Films?
We'd done a lot of this work internally prior to hiring Remedy and we weren't thrilled with the quality of our videos, so we assigned one of our specialists to research alternatives. He came back with three companies for us to look at and we met with each of them. In the end, we felt the most comfortable with Remedy. Their owner had a little bit of background in construction and seemed familiar with the industry, so they felt like a good fit.
How much have you invested with them?
We've probably spent somewhere between $100,000 and $200,000 at this point.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with them in May 2017 and that collaboration is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We've observed an enormous jump in engagement with our videos since they started producing content for us. A recent testimonial that we paid to boost online received 24,000 views compared to the 3,000 or 4,000 we used to see. Now that we've worked with them on the SharkBite brand and had such great results, managers for the other brands are interested in developing similar marketing tools.
Their ability to hit deadlines has also had a major impact on us. For the commercial they produced, we only had two and a half weeks' notice to prepare our 30-second spot, but they turned it around on time and delivered a high-quality product. They've done such a great job that we now work with them on nearly everything.
How did Remedy Films perform from a project management standpoint?
They're well-organized. When they show up to film a project, they have everything thoroughly outlined and they're good at sticking to their schedule. They also do a good job of preparing with us, asking about what we're looking for, finding our talent for us, and helping us with scripts if a video requires that.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their attention to detail is excellent. They pick up on things I may not even notice. Some of that might not seem like a big deal, but it's ultimately those little things that elevate the video quality. When I compare our content to videos made by similar companies, you can see a big difference in the style and editing.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
You're going to know your product and your customers best, so when you're working with an outside vendor make sure you give them as much detail as possible during the developmental phase of your project.

Video Production for Media Agency
“All of the clients that Remedy has collaborated with us on have returned for additional work.”
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I'm the executive producer at Bread & Butter, a media/production company mainly focussed on the food, dining, and hospitality industries. We've created content for clients ranging from Caesar's Palace to a local television show in Atlanta, Ga.
What challenge were you trying to address with Remedy Films?
As our business grew, we needed to expand our video production capabilities in order to fulfill projects for clients. This included additional personnel on a set, camera equipment, and post-production services.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Remedy's team has collaborated with us on 6–8 projects thus far. I work with clients on creative strategy and storyboarding, while Remedy provides production services including personnel, cameras and equipment, editing and music, etc. I act as the middleman between both parties.
We've mostly produced narrative, documentary style videos, which includes interviews, live action, and B-roll. Their team also collaborates with stylists we hire, since the majority of our work involves food.
What is the team composition?
We've worked with anywhere from 5–10 people, depending on the size of the client and project scope.
How did you come to work with Remedy Films?
As our company grew, I started needing more resources, so a friend of mine suggested I get in touch with Jamie Graff (Founder, Remedy Films). We hit it off right away—I was impressed by his work and the type of equipment he had.
How much have you invested with them?
We've invested well over $200,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in July 2016 and we continue to reach out to Remedy as projects come up. Our last project was for the Food Network, which wrapped up in September 2017.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
All of the clients that Remedy has collaborated with us on have returned for additional work.
Jamie went out of his way on two occasions to get us specialized camera equipment that helped us leave clients in awe.
How did Remedy Films perform from a project management standpoint?
Due to the nature of our work, we kind of act as a middleman for a middleman. Any notes between Remedy and the client need to pass through me, for example. However, Remedy's team has always been professional and proactive when it comes to project management. Not to mention, they've gone out of their way more than once for certain clients.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I mostly appreciate their creativity and willingness to go above and beyond what's asked of them. They're incredibly dialed into the technical aspect of their work and are always looking into ways to improve.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No. I just wish their offices were a little closer.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Provide their team with as much information as possible. Make sure your vision is clear prior to going into production; don't wait until you're on set to figure things out.
