My organization is an outsourcing company called Floating Docks We provide software development for both web and mobile to clients in Europe and the United States.

What challenge were you trying to address with Redbee Software?
We were asked to build a mobile application for one of our customers and needed to contract a partner in order to help us build it.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
The app that they helped us build was to facilitate events and connections between communities of students in a part of the United States. It was constructed completely from scratch on Android, and they handled the project management and QA testing as well.
What is the team composition?
There were about three members of their team assigned to the project, including two developers and one project manager.
How did you come to work with Redbee Software?
We have known the Redbee CEO and his team for a long time and knew that they had the skill set necessary for this project, so we reached out to them from there.
How much have you invested with them?
In total, the cost of the project was around $18,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
The project ran from about January–April 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They built the product that we were looking for and it satisfied all of our customer’s requirements, so we were very pleased with the outcome and plan to work with them again on other projects in the future.
How did Redbee Software perform from a project management standpoint?
We had meetings every 2–3 weeks to make sure that everything was going smoothly and that we were on track toward all of our deliverable deadlines. I worked together with their project manager, and our dynamic and methodologies were very effective.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The ability to partner closely with them was really helpful to the work, because our skill sets complemented each other very well. They communicated clearly around every aspect of the project, so we were always able to make sure we were making progress forward no matter what we ran into.
Their team was even able to come up with ideas that neither we nor our clients had thought of that improved the final product. They are totally focused on making their solution as comprehensive and successful as possible.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I think it would help to have more resources dedicated to testing so that we could move a little bit faster on those tasks, but overall it didn’t cause us any huge problems.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Have a really structured plan for testing in place when you get started so that you can make sure that doesn’t slow down your development process as well. Make sure you give them all the information they need as well, because that could cause you further problems down the line.

We used Redbee Software's services on two instances.
The first one was to do a redesign of our wordpress website, which is a presentation website created for our application. They provided a Figma project containing all the new frames for the website (so they did the UX and design, not the implementation).
The second time was for a new user experience for some of the problematic flows in the financial application, and a small improvment in the design of the main pages. Just like the first time, we got all the assets and screens in a Figma project.
