Product animation - laser calibration scanner
For German exhibition we prepared a 3D product animation with voiceover and subtitles. First we started with a storyboard which we fine-tuned with the client. Then we preapred all the models and tried 2 versions - light and dark. Client has chosen the light. We have selected background music and adjusted the animations to showcase the features of the product in a best way.

Various 3D product renders
Dozens of product renders showcasing the product features and benefits. Client was happy with the results and decided to render their whole product portfolio.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I'm Head of Product Management working for a company developing and manufacturing laser beam deflection products for material treatment.
For what projects/services did your company hire Red X Studio, and what were your goals?
It is third and always very satisfying project with redxstudio to create product videos that show the application of the products in certain markets. The goals have been to show the advantages of the products and the benefits for the customers using our products.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
WE found the company in the internet, checked the references and project examples, talked to the founder personally and started the first common project.
Describe the video(s) and the process in detail, including the project steps and all stages of production.
After 2 very successful projects we started this complex video production with a description from my side. Due to the complexity of the product we followed Peter's recommendation for a personal meeting and introduction of the working product. This was the key I can say today for a very fast and structured project from the first meeting over the story line, the story board, the first rough video draft to the final video approx. 6 weeks later. Great!
Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?
We had a direct communication over phone or online and tried to reply a soon as possible. This was very efficient.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
The video has been placed in LinkedIn directly before an import exhibition. Many persons gave us their congratulations for the video and some people visited our booth to see the product.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
Direct contact to the founder. Good and friendly communication. Clear agreements and targets.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Our products a very complex and not easy to understand for someone who has never been in contact with that kind of optics, mechanics and electronics. Impressive, how fast they understood how our products work and what's the target of the video.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
no

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the Retail/Marketing Manager for a Reflective Insulation manufacturer out of Markleville, IN.
For what projects/services did your company hire Red X Studio?
The conversion of our current application renders into a 3-D photo grade image format.
What were your goals for this project?
Create 3-D photo grade application images.
How did you select this vendor?
An e-mail invitation that outlined the services of the company was forwarded. We had already been looking at this project and had met with other firms that provided similar services.
Describe the project in detail.
Our company provided current art and provided direction on the specifics of how it needed to be recreated. Quite often it was simply to create the current image in the 3-D Photo Quality format. When a specific image was complete, it would be forwarded to our team for review and feedback for the next version. Typically an image would go through 3 or 4 versions, average, until approved.
What was the team composition?
My team was composed of our Graphics Design Mgr, Technical Services VP, Sales VP and myself.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
The images have not been incorporated into our website or product labeling as of yet. But we do anticipate a significant positive sales impact due to the significantly improved art.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Very efficient.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
The consistent quality of their images and quick turnarounds were impressive. Also, their positive interactions with our company contact stood out.
Are there any areas for improvement?
No - they are a very strong group to work with.

3D Image Creation for Power Supply Company
"Red X Studio created realistic images."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m a marketing communications specialist at a power supply company. Half the time, I do internal communications, but another piece of my job is marketing communications.
What challenge were you trying to address with Red X Studio?
One of the things I’ve been working with Peter (Founder) and his team on is product renderings. We sell all of our power supplies, and they have to have professional graphics on our website.
What was the scope of their involvement?
All of the deliverables we’ve done so far have been 3D image renderings, either of a standalone product or a product with accessories or a group shot of multiple products.
Peter delivers those in various formats like JPEG, PNG, and transparent background.
What is the team composition?
I’ve worked with about three people, including Peter.
How did you come to work with Red X Studio?
We had been working with a different vendor for a long time. There wasn’t a lot of flexibility, and the other vendor was quite a bit more expensive.
Peter reached out to me through email and showed me examples of his work. We gave it a shot. After doing one rendering with him, we decided to switch vendors over completely. It was better quality at a much-reduced cost.
They were also much more flexible with editing. If our team came back and wanted something changed, they were more apt to help us out. With the previous vendor, the smallest edit almost cost just as much as the full deliverable itself. Red X Studio made budgeting easier.
How much have you invested with them?
Roughly, we’ve spent $5,000 or $6,000 so far.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our ongoing engagement with Red X Studio started in September 2019.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
It’s a streamlined process working with Red X Studio. We’ve completed several renderings, and there are on a few in the works. When those are completed, we still plan to work with Red X Studio on an ad hoc basis.
Our product team and marketing team are happy with the deliverables. Red X Studio created realistic images. Those images end up getting used on a datasheet, other physical or digital product collateral, or on the website.
How did Red X Studio perform from a project management standpoint?
Typically, we communicate back and forth with email. They provide me with a link to upload large files of the engineering files or design models. Whenever they have a version of the deliverable ready for review, they send me a link to their file viewing software, so I can easily view it and download it. After sharing it with our internal team for review, it makes it easier to get it back to them with edits.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Red X Studio is very responsive. They produce a very high-quality product with competitive pricing. They’re also friendly to work with.
Are there any areas they could improve?
When I first started working with them, they had an online project management system to review renderings instead of email. Whenever their team posted a new comment or change, I would receive a notification and could reply through the system or email. That was nice to be able to do, but it seems like they got rid of that. It helped to have a conversation all in one place, instead of keeping track of different emails and threads.
That’s something that could be improved, but it’s not a deal breaker.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be honest with what you need. I plan out what I need from them, and they usually provide an estimate. We are both aligned on the deliverables and price that way, so there won’t be any surprises.
Red X Studio had a unique sense of understanding of the client's needs. The internal team had a complex project with specific optics, mechanics, and electronics, but they were quick to understand the products. The vendor was also praised for its friendly communication and clear targets.
