I am currently self-employed - marketing consultant, leadership mentor and author.
For what projects/services did your company hire Red Rabbit Media?
Needed an agency to administrate/manage a Facebook page in support of my debut book, TAJ MAHAL & TEA. Included administrative functions, content management & creation, Author Q&A events etc. Plus, eventual expansion into other social media platforms, eg Instagram, YouTube.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
I had previously worked with this vendor when I was CEO of a theatrical film distribution division at Filmfinity (Pty) Ltd. Deciding factors were trust, flexibility, creativity, strategic, solution-oriented, reliability, company stability, management & affordability.
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
An introductory meeting was held to discuss the scope of the work required. On receipt & acceptance of the quote, work commenced. A large amount of content (in the form of photographs) was supplied by myself, but still needed to be "packaged" for postings. In addition, monthly "sales posts" and other ad hoc competition/promotional posts were created by them directly. An initial 6-12 month strategic planning meeting was held online.
A follow-up in this regard was done after 6 months to revisit & refine the strategy. They are responsible for boosting of FB posts/ads, including identifying relevant audiences. They created a shared, posting calendar which is updated regularly. Ongoing research is done into the page's audience & engagement and a monthly report is provided with a post-analysis of page performance and recommendations, where required.
Currently also investigating the expansion to additional platforms - Instagram & You Tube.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
One resource allocated on an ongoing basis - i.e. the Head of Editorial. However, the full team - Managing Director & Founder + Executive Producer & Founder + Head of Editorial, participate in strategic meetings & event management.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
The FB page which was launched from scratch, reached 1 300 followers in just 9 months. Engagement is above average across the board for both static & video content, including frequency of post "shares".
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Communication was done via regular Google Meet calls, email & WhatsApp. Communication was seamless & team was always available. Monthly post-analysis reports & discussions on learnings. Strategic plan discussions every 6 months.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Although I'm a "small" client, I am never made to feel as such. Reliability, consistency & flexibility are their key qualities. Plus their creative & strategic thinking is "fresh" and they're focused on future growth and not afraid to play out-of-their-comfort-zone.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
We're currently, jointly working on improving & converting the highly successful FB page engagements into increased book sales.
