Web App Dev for Fantasy Soccer Company
“They’re a very cost-efficient partner.”
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO of a software company that’s trying to revolutionize the fantasy soccer league space.
What challenge were you trying to address with Reckonsys?
We changed our development team a few times and needed a new partner.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They created a mobile responsive web application for us. Another vendor built the foundation and Reckonsys created a more scalable architecture, a testing environment, and a production environment. Users are able to sign up on the platform, create an account, refer friends, and create a fantasy league.
They integrated with AWS and other third-party platforms in order to integrate it into our site. The main coding languages they used were Elixir, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
What is the team composition?
We started off with one backend developer and one frontend developer. Then, we hired an HTML specialist and expanded our team. They’re very flexible with scaling up and down.
How did you come to work with Reckonsys?
They were referred to us.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent $100,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in January 2020, and our work is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They didn’t have an Elixir developer initially, but they offered two free developers for free for the first month to learn the tech stack and build the platform.
We measured success in terms of the features built with our investment. They performed extremely well. They’re a very cost-efficient partner.
How did Reckonsys perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re great. We use Jira and Basecamp for project management. We communicate via email and Zoom calls three times per week.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their flexibility in staffing and the hours they work are impressive. They’re always willing to pitch in on the weekends. Additionally, their ability to learn a new tech stack was also impressive. One of our developers became an expert in Elixir in just 2–3 months, which was pretty incredible.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, we’ve had a great experience working with them.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
If you don’t have a project manager assigned to you, align with them beforehand on exactly what you need and what your timeframes are. Stay on top of updating your project management tool to maintain efficiency.

Web Dev & Mobile App Dev for Children's Healthcare Company
"They can take a concept and turn it into a design without requiring highly detailed specifics."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO and founder of Pathfinder.health, an early childhood developmental delay detection and intervention tool. We help parents identify what to look for, when to look for it, and how to assess their child’s development independently. We also have a call to action to physicians and if their child is in daycare or being taken care of by others, we link all the caretakers together with the pediatrician.
What challenge were you trying to address with Reckonsys?
We needed help with development.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They built a mobile app that serves parents, caregivers, and daycares. They also built a web app for pediatricians.
We have parents and caretakes log information. On a bi-monthly cadence, we have them take certain assessments that are clinically validated. All that information is presented to the pediatrician in a well organized EMR mechanism. It’s also presented to the physician with certain high-risk indicators already highlighted.
The app is available on iOS and Android, but we decided to build a progressive web app so we can have a single codebase.
What is the team composition?
We communicate with the project manager the most. Given the size and how quickly we scale, the CEO is involved on a fairly regular basis. The UI/UX designer is also involved in our daily and weekly calls. Sometimes we do work directly with the software development engineers if there’s something super urgent that needs clarification.
How did you come to work with Reckonsys?
We’d been looking for someone for a while. My CTO knew about them and recommended them to me. We started with a small engagement. They proved themselves, and we decided to expand the engagement.
How much have you invested with them?
We started at $4,000–$5,000/month. Now we’re up to $20,000/month.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in February 2020, and the work is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Feedback from our internal team, users, and potential investors has all been positive. My product manager says they’re highly responsive. Bugs are addressed and fixed quickly.
They work independently and think critically. We don’t need to get extremely involved and be super detailed about everything. We can lob something over the fence and they figure something out.
How did Reckonsys perform from a project management standpoint?
Project management is very good. At least a few software development engineers are always present on the calls but we’re not necessarily interacting with them all the time. They tend to have a good backup plan. Things have been delayed but everything has been launched on time. At the same time, we throw curveballs at them as well. It’s not always their fault when there are delays.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I’ve worked with a couple of organizations like them until we found the right one. They can take a concept and turn it into a design without requiring highly detailed specifics which is a huge timesaver for us.
Products go through highly rigorous testing. Where there have been issues that we needed to address, they explained what they were thinking and the user feedback they were getting. By in large, they’re really good about meeting deadlines.
Are there any areas they could improve?
We work through any issues that come up. They’ve been flexible and open to feedback. I wish I had an earlier heads up that our product manager was going to be leaving. At the same time, they did give us enough of a heads up to start thinking about how to redesign the team to get us to the next checkpoint.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I found it helpful to make sure we have documentations that state what will be delivered and when. Make sure you’re using Jira or some other tracking tools. Plan at a more strategic level.

Website Dev for Online Landscape Design Marketplace
"Reckonsys delivered what we initially set out to do."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder and CEO of a global online marketplace for interior and landscape designers to showcase and monetize their skills. Homeowners can come on the platform to review a different variety of styles and design ideas with a curated shopping list. They can go ahead by the items directly from the online stores based on those lists.
In the process, merchants also benefit because their items are getting advertised.
What challenge were you trying to address with Reckonsys?
Reckonsys helped develop the website.
What was the scope of their involvement?
I did the competitive analysis and market research before coming up with the use cases and the entire function and business. I wanted Reckonsys to do all of the technical work.
For the frontend, they used HTML and JavaScript. For the backend, it’s Python. They also used a tool for messaging functionality.
I wanted minimal details so users could focus on the actual content. We’re trying to sell to homeowners while bringing them the best value.
What is the team composition?
We primarily work with three people. Based on the skills required, they changed the resources for the best fit. Our main point was the project lead, and we have two development resources.
How did you come to work with Reckonsys?
I was referred to them by someone.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve invested between $10,000–$50,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started with the design in June 2019, and we’re still working together.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Reckonsys delivered what we initially set out to do. I have a very crisp website. The original designs are minimalistic, which is exactly what I wanted. They’re also up to an international standard. To my knowledge, there are minimal to no bugs.
The beta launch was in February. Since then, we’ve worked on backlog items and enhancements. Now, the designers can even maintain a portfolio on the site to showcase their skills.
Their CEO works with clients throughout the entire process. He’s very good to work with and approachable.
How did Reckonsys perform from a project management standpoint?
We used to have a weekly scrum call that included the project lead and the team. When we couldn’t meet, they were prompt enough to come back with a rescheduled timeslot. We use Jira and Slack. On Jira, we directly provide updates and changes, and we’re also to keep track of the requirements. It was streamlined and efficient.
What did you find most impressive about them?
It’s the collaboration. All teams should be in sync with the product owner’s requirements. Otherwise, something else will be delivered.
Reckonsys puts in the required effort to understand what’s asked of them. They’re all easily approachable. If there’s a use case that hasn’t been thought through properly, they’ll brainstorm with the client.
Are there any areas they could improve?
When the project duration is long, testing needs to be automated. I think that’s something I need to work with them, so we can hopefully build a regression testing suite in the near future. That’s more something I need to put on my own roadmap. Otherwise, they’re great to work with.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be very clear about what you want. If you’re not clear of requirements yourself, that will just delay the project. Have a crisp vision of what you think you want at the end of the project.

the reviewer
the review
The client submitted this review online.
Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the VP of Engineering at Dasceq Inc. We develop and operate a SAAS service to optimize the Collections Processes of our Clients.
For what projects/services did your company hire Reckonsys?
We hired Reckonsys to design our UI Console.
What were your goals for this project?
The goal for our project to provide an end to end design of all the problems that we solve for our Clients. The expected outcome was a set of UX mockups that can be used by UI engineers.
How did you select this vendor?
We selected this Vendor after evaluating 5-6 other Vendors. The criteria for us was two things:
- A nimble Vendor that can move fast with our Requirements and do a really good job at providing an end to end design.
- Be flexible on the cost side and work with us as a Partner for the long run.
Describe the project in detail.
The Project required the Vendor and his team to design a series of Screens that comprised of the below:
- Login and Password Management flows
- Data Mapping Flows
- Strategy, Recommendations and Campaigns
- Agent Setup
- User Setup
- Benefit Analysis, KPIs and ROI
What was the team composition?
We had one star designer from the Vendor join our team. He was a senior designer and a very capable one!
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Within 4 weeks, we were able to build a demo purely based on Figma screens that we were able to demo to our potential clients and partners. This was awesome as we got a lot of feedback and the Vendor was able to incorporate the feedback in quick iterations. The screens were passed on to the UI dev team.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
We used to meet everyday morning to decide on the items to be worked on during the day. Later in the day/evening, we had one more session as needed to review and give feedback. Slack was used through out to exchange ideas. Overall very effective.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Their ability to take a complex business process like ours and provide user flows that were intuitive was impressive. We had our Product Head actively involved, but it still takes a lot of perseverance and skill to dissect the requirements and put things on paper.
Are there any areas for improvement?
We had to work remotely and in IST because of the current situation that we are all in (Covid). Despite that, the Vendor attended a few demos at late hours. I wish the Vendor best wishes that they can have folks available during US hours as well to be able to participate in more Client presentations to get real time feedback. This will help in even faster turn around times.

Extract the key data from multiple excel files using a scripting language like Python and create a single excel file with all the data organized into multiple tabs for each parameter. Also provide a user friendly exception report that can be used by business to clean up data issues if any.
How did you select this vendor?
Reckonsys is known for its skill pool of Python developers and so I knowing the CEO of the company reached out to the CEO and got the required people.

The team created a python extractor that was scheduled to run daily. This scripts would use a set of configurations created in an excel file and scan through the one-drive folder where are all files are located and write the output of key parameters into the target file. Full Stack Dev for AI Lead Generation Chatbot
"Reckonsys and their experience are fundamental to our success."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the co-founder and COO of an AI-powered, lead generation tool that includes a chatbot in the frontend as well as a sales and marketing tool in the backend.
What challenge were you trying to address with Reckonsys?
We needed to build our product.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Reckonsys managed the entire development process for our web-based SaaS product. Their team directed the full suite of development and built the platform based on the concept that we had in mind. We began development from the UI/UX stages, mapping the process and user journeys. Their team designed all the screens and user flows for us. From there, they developed the product completely—frontend and backend. Their team developed the frontend chatbot that allows people to make sales inquiries and prequalify sales inquiries. They built a chatbot builder into the backend so that we can build chatbots for our customers. Their team also implemented a sales pipeline tool to manage sales inquiries as well as a reporting tool that enables users to report on sales.
What is the team composition?
The development team's managed by our main point of contact who's experienced. I’m always able to get in contact with him. Also, the owner of the company’s on hand if I need to discuss the project in more detail.
How did you come to work with Reckonsys?
I found them on Clutch where they had good reviews, which led to us making the initial contact. But for me, the decision came down to Sathish (Founder and CEO, Reckonsys) who's experienced. He worked in the US, so he had a lot of experience in different markets. Unlike competitors who agreed with what we said, Sathish also had insight into what we wanted to develop. In the initial stages, he gave us a lot of ideas and direction. His team included a mix of people with abilities to design our product and make it look beautiful. They also had hardcore developers who could make the product strong enough to scale for thousands of users.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started in July 2019 and the project’s ongoing. We’re launching version one of the product hopefully in February. After that, we’ll work with Reckonsys on a retainer basis for ongoing development and support.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Their team over-delivered on what we outlined in terms of the product specifications. They flagged a couple of features that wouldn’t have been able to scale, which their team rebuilt at no extra cost because they wanted to build a world-class product. They were flexible and took ownership of the project. We're really happy with their work.
As well, Sathish has been available at any time. Since we're a company without a CTO, he guides us. He’s available to have conversations with us about scaling and mapping the product into the future, which we wouldn’t have been able to have without him.
How did Reckonsys perform from a project management standpoint?
The development's done in sprints and every sprint has been delivered on time to date. That’s helpful to us because we’re not just answering to ourselves but also investors. We’ve been able to visit the team, so they’ve been flexible and transparent about their work. Their team provides project management tools, so we can log bugs and communicate with them on a regular basis. They fix issues fast. If we have to hit a deadline because of a demo, they push hard to hit the deadline. Their communication's excellent.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Finding good development companies overseas is like finding a needle in a haystack. Reckonsys and their experience are fundamental to our success. It's hard to find someone who’s willing to guide you when you aren’t a technical individual. Reckonsys isn't the cheapest option but the money's well spent.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, the process has been good.

Custom Software Dev for Senior Living Platform
"They are very keen and have worked with many different platforms."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder and CEO of Golden Sherpa. We are a platform that helps adult children aged 45–65 with aging parents find senior living options.
What challenge were you trying to address with Reckonsys?
We hired them to develop our platform and multiple functionalities within it.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They were initially brought on to help build our MVP prototype. Once we finished working on the prototype over the summer, we hired them to do the whole scope and fully built out the MVP. We provided a wireframe, but they helped us with it.
They constructed the community search function for retirement communities, which was the main part of the app. There is also a portal to develop a knowledge base for users and take surveys to see which communities would be good fits. They work with an agile design methodology.
What is the team composition?
On the development side, we had a team of six people. There were two developers.
How did you come to work with Reckonsys?
One of our co-founders had worked with Reckonsys before. We were looking for an MVP prototype that I could show communities.
How much have you invested with them?
It was under $60,000, and that was quite affordable.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started the MVP in June 2018 and finished in November 2018. The work is still ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Through our partnership, we successfully launched the product in August 2019. In the first month, our platform received 4,760 pageviews. We also had a substantial number of unique visitors, growing from 2,900 to 6,298 in just two months. Our bounce rate was only 29%. We do have someone working on SEO optimization for us. I’ve been very happy with the build and the scale.
They were very good at hitting deadlines and notifying us if there was anything amiss.
How did Reckonsys perform from a project management standpoint?
We work with them in Jira and InVision. We met with them three days per week.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They are very keen and have worked with many different platforms. If you’re an entrepreneur and you have an idea, they can tell you what’s happening in the market and the future. If you develop your platform with them, you’re already ahead of everybody else. They can take your idea so much further, which is great when you’re starting out.
When we starting the development of the MVP, they advised me to spent a lot of time on the prototype. They walked me through it and made me think about how I wanted it to look when I was going to be out presenting it to people. That meant that when we got funding, we didn’t have to spend a ton of time developing it. Through the agile design process, I got to take little pieces out of it to make sure we were on the right track. From what I’ve heard from other entrepreneurs, this experience is quite rare.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don’t think so. We have some tweaks with the project, but everybody’s been happy with the site. Any breakdowns occurred when we transferred from the old site.

Dev Support for CRM Software

the review
The client submitted this review online.
Please describe your company and your position there.
We are a cloud based CRM software provider based in Singapore. I am the founder / Director of the company.
For what projects/services did your company hire Reckonsys?
We are a CRM company based in Singapore, and we needed services to develop additional functionalities in the CRM software, bug fixing, ongoing support and so on. So we decided to hire a team from Reckonsys Banglore.
What were your goals for this project?
Enhancements to the existing product - adding functionality Bug fixing Ongoing monitoring Quality improvements
How did you select this vendor?
We were looking for a specific combination of front end technology and Django Python. So I spoke to few companies in Bangalore. While in the discussion I found a teammate of Reckonsys very reliable, straightforward and honest. I also liked the skillset their team possessed. So then we decided to move forward with Reckonsys.
Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.
As mentioned above the project is ongoing enhancement, bug fixing and monitoring of an existing CRM system.
What was the team composition?
The team consisted of a Django Python Backend Developer and a ReactJS front end developer.
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?
The team has been able to develop many enhancement features in a short span. The quality of the work is very good and we are able to manage and enhance the system in reasonable cost parameters.
How was project management arranged and how effective was it?
The project management is essentially with us (i.e. the client). So we are provided resources as required and we need to manage the resources and schedule activities. Sometimes we may need expert in some other area, then he can be engaged as per requirement.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Their developers are high-quality. We are able to manage the project within the cost and budget. If required other resources like AWS, etc can be involved as and when required.
Are there any areas for improvement?
One area of possible improvement, is active local project review. Since the team and the client sits in different timezone, at times the teams may find disconnection. If internally from their office somebody takes review of activities once a week that will be great.
Reckonsys’ work is phenomenal. The team delivers excellent code quality and have improved their client’s platform immensely. Customers can expect a team of quick learners that are able to scale as needed.
