They helped us double the conversion rate for our Landing pages! I could never have thought that our conversion rate will be so high after having the new design. Realmonkey was professional, helpful, and supportive and I loved to work with them again.

After a series of meetings to discuss our goals, we received the initial designs for the website through InVision and started to get a better picture of our dream becoming true. This allowed us to direct them what we actually wanted and reaching our desired website.

We are still in final stages, just about to launch our new website but can already see a huge difference that the professional design and right information with call to action added will impact our company's online reputation.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Their communication is one of the most positive points. They are super responsive and act really fast on requirements and changes. Online meetings, emails, whatsApp, InVision ... always replied on time.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We appreciated that they are patient and thoughtful while we came up to design and redesign till complete satisfaction. This really makes a difference to get more than you looked for.

So, we had asked 2 sample design based on one theme. in Next 3 days, sample was provided. based on sample, we analyzed their ideation, thought process. And, it was really great. Which led us to make realmokey our designing partner agency.

As earlier mentioned, it's an ongoing project and demands on time delivery of creative design, team realmonkey never let us down. The best part is understanding the theme of post. They take good time to sense the theme and once they ensured, they provide design which requires few revisions.

Very effective and quick.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The designer and their thought process are really amazing. Specially, would like to give a big shout out to Shradha who has been assigned to us.

Yes, even though the conversation on slack is smooth. But, they should share the designer direct number to connect with, incase some urgent work is required.

I am the CEO of LiftCAD, a CAD solution for elevator industries.

We hited them for UI/UX design for our LifCAD mobile application.

What were your goals for this project?

Our main aim was to make our app look competitive and over the edge from other solutions available by our competitors over the internet. A design that would look sleek, simple and trendy at the same time.

SOLUTION

How did you select realmonkey?

First we were not going to hire a professional UI/UX designer, but we had come across their portfolio, and asked them for a sample design. And since we liked it and did not want our users miss the feeling of great experience while using our app, we hired them.

We had a Canvas where we wanted user to have huge amount of tools to make drawings easy but also did not want user to feel that screen is clustered with too many options. So we were looking for screens that would make sense in flow of options and user only see options required by the current set of operations.

I was directly dealing with Aroon from Real monkey, he later assigned a designer for me after understanding my requirements.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We had compared the outcome with our previous version of the design that we built ourselves. We could see the difference easily. User was not missing any option to design their drawing, every tool was bifurcated category wise and was arranged in a logical wise manner. For example, in edit toolbar, toolbar editor for that category was kept at top following by other tools in the hierarchy.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We were communicating over slack and had our own channel to cover various aspects of our design challenges. Team of Real Monkey was very prompt at replying to our concerns.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Most impressive thing that I came across was that the owner of the company was itself UI/UX designer and was a proactive person while giving improvement suggestions. When developers are making app, they sometimes get confused on what they exactly want, its the designer that should help get out of that confused state, at least this is what we were expecting out of the company that we would finalize for our design. And Aroon exactly did that to our expectations.

Are there any areas for improvement?

They were bit expensive, so if they could lower down the cost a little or can create package as per the work required to be done. But since the outcome was great, we hardly felt the pain of paying a little extra than the agreed budget of our team.

We needed help with web design.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They created our marketing site and another training site. The team designed the whole infrastructure from registration to the sign-up for courses, to putting up videos. They also created the backend application that users pay to use. Throughout the course of the project, the team used PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap.

We wanted to take our business global, and to do so, we needed to have our website redesigned.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The realmonkey team redesigned our website, working collaboratively with us through each step of the process. They did HTML coding, and transferred everything into WordPress so we could manage it all there.

They recolored our logos and restructured our entire corporate identity. They redesigned our blog, which connects to the website, and recreated our social media color image, using the new brand colors and icons. They also created new social media post templates.

Finally, realmonkey created a presentation, using PowerPoint, to send reports out to our clients.

What is the team composition?

We worked with Tripti (Backend Programmer), Sushil (Project Head), and Aroon (Design Lead) primarily.

How did you come to work with realmonkey?

Our CEO found them and decided they were a good fit after they exchanged strategy emails.

We worked together from April – August 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The website has been live for 10 days, and we have already had very positive feedback from potential clients. They did an amazing job of understanding our needs, and how we wanted to express ourselves. We are extremely satisfied with the work realmonkey did.

How did realmonkey perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re very organized. We used Trello to see tasks as they were completed, and to communicate changes and make comments. They met all of our deadlines, and the communication was very good.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They are better than other companies I’ve worked with in the past. They understood the thinking behind our strategy, and the gave us good suggestions.

They are easy to work with, and they’re very good at their job.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the founder of PubHub, a beverage ordering business. Instead of standing in line and waiting to process a payment, my idea was to have a mobile app that allows users to view a menu, order, and pay on a smartphone.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Realmonkey?

I needed a vendor to develop the app that has a menu online so users could make selections, modify them, put them into a cart, and add a payment using credit card processing integration.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

I worked with them to do everything from the prototyping to design and development of the app. They helped me to develop the UI and the backend. They completed the iOS version, and we’re working on the Android version currently. There’s also an app for an iPad for the venues to manage the orders. We used Stripe for payment processing.

We have some cool dashboard features. As far as user flow, creating your own drink proved to be a challenge. You can order something simple like a beer or you can order a rum and Coke with a splash of this or that. We wanted users to be able to use all the variations without too much complexity.

We’re planning on using them as our primary development team going forward.

What is the team composition?

I worked with 4–5 people. My main point of contact used to do more development, but now, he does more business development and client relation work. There’s a Scrum master who manages my account. A couple of developers help out with different skills.

How did you come to work with Realmonkey?

I found them on Upwork. I gave them a couple of small tasks to see how they worked. They took my drawings and made them into something more tangible. I liked their work so we went another step further.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in Summer 2017 and the work is ongoing. To get the initial version out was only a couple months, but it wasn’t nearly as built out as it is today.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’re in the App Store for iOS. We’ve been using it at a couple places. For the first beta event, we tested it out on a small scale of 30–40 users. The event went great. There were no technical issues. We had a couple process issues with how the bar implemented it and got some feedback on features we could improve. Everything’s been good. Our testing and requirement writing are results-driven. I’ve been happy.

How did Realmonkey perform from a project management standpoint?

We did a lot of testing and iteration rounds.

I was concerned at the beginning that it would be hard to manage the project with the 12 ½ hour difference. They do a great job. We use Jira to track the projects. We are in constant communication via Slack. I never go more than a day without talking with them in one way or another. We also use Skype. They’re on top of their responsibilities.

What did you find most impressive about them?

One thing that I like a lot about them is they don’t just take what I say and do it. They listen and work with me to understand it. They give suggestions. One of the main things I was looking for wasn’t just a development machine; I was looking for a partner who would give me good perspective and advice. They are vested in our success.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No. If I have issues with something, I just talk to them about it and we work together on it.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Sometimes when you’re working internationally and you’re not meeting face-to-face, it can be hard to build a relationship. I’d tell a future client to go out of their way to put on a camera for a video call and ask them how they’re doing, etc. Video calls help with distance. Make sure you have the right communication and workflow tools to make that interaction easier.

I am the founder of an app that helps users connect offline with their friends, making it simpler to organize their activities despite having busy schedules.

I hired Realmonkey to improve a basic wireframe that I came up with. After they completed the UI/UX, I was so impressed with their work that I asked them to handle the development of the iOS and Android apps as well.

Working with Realmonkey has allowed me to see my vision come to life. I love the product that we are creating. I have an app that I can send out to testers, then quickly change based on their feedback. With a product that requires so much testing and iteration, you can never be fast enough. We have had signups from as far as Europe and US, which is amazing.

Communicating with them has been easy, especially since I’m a solo founder. Realmonkey’s project manager oversees development and keeps me updated. I like how the individual members post updates on Slack on how the development is going on their end. I can also communicate with the whole team via Slack or Skype.

I appreciate the speed with which they respond to my messages. Considering how much I travel, it has been amazing being able to work with them from anywhere in the world. Their quality and efficiency are impressive, allowing me to send updates to testers fast and figure out if the changes work.
