I’m the CEO of a small SaaS startup making software for construction companies.

What challenge were you trying to address with Reaktivate?
We needed help with mobile and web SaaS product development.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
They developed iOS and Android apps from scratch using React Native. The mobile app is used by construction professionals at construction sites to streamline the building process and control quality assurance/control of building processes. The web app is a platform with the same platform as the mobile app. More information stays in the cloud. When people are in the field, they work with the mobile app. When they’re back in the office, they have all the information in the web app that they collected in the field. The web app is also used to configure the system.
What is the team composition?
I worked with a main developer and two expert consultants, whom the main developer consulted with.
How did you come to work with Reaktivate?
I looked at different freelance websites and gave complex tasks to several potential companies. Reaktivate were the only ones who could complete this task. I was impressed and decided to work with them.

We’ve spent $100,000 with them.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from June 2017 until October 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The product works. There are about 100 construction projects in Israel using the product. There were many bugs and crashes during the process but they were fixed routinely. Reaktivate was very agile and receptive to our requests for fixes.
How did Reaktivate perform from a project management standpoint?
The communication was good. We used Jira and Slack.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The quality of work was good.
Are there any areas they could improve?
We had some friction when we tried to add a new developer sometimes. They have challenges with increasing the size of the team.

If you’re considering outsourcing development, they’re a great option. Have ongoing and open communication with the developers.
