We are a global steel processor. We trade and process different types of steel, aluminium, titanium, copper and much more. I work as Head of Controlling and Digitization in Switzerland.

For what projects/services did your company hire Rapidfacture?
We have a very complex calculation structure and it took us a long time to create a correct customer offer. We engaged Rapidfacture for a web shop and an internal standardized calculation. This solution simplifies and standardizes the creation of offers and calculations. Customers now also have the option of creating a calculation independently without consulting us.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We discovered Rapidfacture through a competitor and found the solution good. However, we knew that we set our standards very high and wanted to change some of the standard solution. We chose Rapidfacture because they have a lot of experience in our industry and immediately understood our problem. In terms of price, Rapidfacture was also within our budget. Rapidfacture is very flexible and immediately understood our concerns and problems.
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
First of all, there was a first internal workshop in which we wanted to clarify what exactly we need. In the second workshop, we brought in Rapidfacture so that they could record our requirements. From this, a specification and an offer were created. After approval, a project plan including timeline, milestone, etc. was drawn up. After that, Rapidfacture started developing the basic framework. We were able to communicate our wishes and adjustments on an ongoing basis, which were implemented in a timely manner.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We only met one seller. He was present at the workshop together with the managing director. After that, we were looked after directly by the developer and the managing director. Exactly as we wished.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
In the past, our sales staff could create around 5-7 offers per day. With the new solution from Rapidfacture approx. per person are possible. This resulted in an incredible calming of the processes and we were able to win new customers.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
The team was very effective. We also had to adjust the requirements somewhat during the course of the project. This was easily accepted and implemented by Rapidfacture. Was very satisfied.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Extremely flexible company. It impressed me how certain requirements could be exchanged for new requirements. Small additional requests were implemented immediately. The performance of the solution is simply brilliant.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
The only thing I have to complain about is that they didn't have MS teams. But other than that, communication was flawless and very good.
