Operator Control Dashboard
Third Wave Automation hired Raidon to design, build and integrate a new Operator Control Center. This dashboard would allow operators to remote control their robotic forklifts, track and manage upcoming moves, manage operators, and view all forklifts in a given warehouse. The project leveraged several of Raidon's services most notably Web Prototyping R.

Call Center Service
Raidon designed, built, and deployed the core functionality for Y-Combinator startup Tugboat. The project required full product development and prototyping. The product now orchestrates phone calls between consumers and clients.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am a product/program manager at a Robotics/Software Startup. We are currently at roughly 40 people.
For what projects/services did your company hire Raidon Inc, and what were your goals?
We have more work that we wanted to get done than internal resources. We also didn't have the design/UX competency we needed to complete what we wanted to get done. Which is why we brought on Raidon.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
We wanted to build out a new Front End for our users. This meant designing a functional interface to work with our backend which is still being developed. We started out talking about what we need, how we think it should be laid out, and from there, iterate on what we actually wanted. By the end, we wanted an interface that presented well but had all the functionality that we needed.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
There were two main people, Ryan and Lucus, and a couple more behind the scenes.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
We are just starting to use the new UI in earnest internally so I don't have any measurable outcomes in that sense. But everyone who has seen it agrees that it looks exponentially better than what we had previously.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
We had weekly meetings to test and update on how things were progressing. In between those meetings most communication was via Slack.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They were extremely available when it comes to fitting our schedule.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Part of this is on us, but I think overall setting expectations about how we want to receive code updates and the frequency of PRs. We did transition project owners partway through their work which was on us and set different expectations of how the partnership would work.
The client is just starting to use the project's new UI and the stakeholders agree that it is better than they had before. The team communicates via Slack for project testing and update. The client is so far impressed by the team's availability when needed.
