Please describe your company and your position there.

I’m a project manager for SIRA, the Security Industry Regulatory Agency of the Government of Dubai, UAE [United Arab Emirates]. We handle security related services and regulations for the security industry.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire RAI TECHINTRO?

We hired them to automate our examination processes which were completely manual before implementing a customized Disamina product, which is an online examination software.

What were your goals for this project?

Our main goal was to have a comprehensive solution for handling the examination, registration, invigilation, and result generation processes with minimum manual intervention and complete automation.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

They were selected based on their public platform called Disamina. After testing and scrutinizing the available processes in the product, we selected them to render our customized services.

Describe the project in detail.

The solution was readily available as a cloud-based version and was customized according to our requirements. It’s a comprehensive examination management platform with standard features, though it also has advanced features such as candid picture capturing of candidates during the examination process, a question bank, etc. The platform was deployed in our local client-server environment with our in-house database.

Explain how the solution addressed your business challenge.

It modernized our traditional paper-based examination system and it drastically reduced the time the process took from several hours to seconds at various stages, from the preparation of questions to the publishing of the results.

What was the team composition?

RAI TECHINTRO handled all the development and our in-house team consisted of around 4 people for handling the implementation and unit testing operations.

What outcomes or results can you share that demonstrate progress and/or success?

The solution completely automated the existing manual process with no gaps and fully ensured the smooth running of the business. It has also saved an ample amount of time for the business users.

How effective was the project management?

Their project management was very impressive—they understood our queries and suggested the necessary solutions promptly. The deliverables were on time, which led to the success of the project.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

We had direct and immediate access to them and the required solutions were quickly implemented within the agreed time frame. They never deter from the project plan, which enabled us to complete all our milestones on time.

What tips or recommendations do you have?

There is little to improve and our main recommendation would be to report processes and user-defined modules.
