In a pitch R17 convinced us the most. Our desicion was based on knowledge of how to develop, run and improve a Shopify store. In addition it was crucial to be an expert in Performance Marketing to scale-up sales.

I saw a sponsored post on Instagram from R17 Ventures AG on which they pushed the tagline "Perfomance Marketing". I looked at the Instagram page and then went to the website and saw that I myself was a customer on one of the webshops managed by R17 "Beneva Black". After that I contacted R17 by mail.

Raphael the boss of R17 contacted me by phone and I told him that we have already worked with 2 marketing agencies and we were not satisfied with the performance.
We were promised a lot, we paid a lot and got little in return. He gave me a guide of all the data he needed. Access to the online store, Google Ads and social media. He or someone from his team evaluated the data provided (for free) and then sent me a quote. Since my boss was already 2 times disappointed by marketing agencies, he said we wait and see how the Corona situation develops.
When I canceled Raphael he found it a pity and understood it anyway. The next day he agreed again a phone call with me and suggested that he bears all the costs of the work and the advertising budget itself because he sees a huge potential according to the data he has evaluated the brand and so on.
We then negotiated a fair deal for both parties and after that he sent me a contract for our cooperation. When the contract was signed, he opened a Whatsapp group with the relevant specialists so that important information could be shared with all parties involved. We sent the watches to Cape Town for the product shoots and content production.
Every now and then a new specialist would contact me and tell me what he needed, be it information for the company history and so on and so forth. Everyone is very nice, open uncomplicated and competent. We are businessmen who have 70 years of B2B experience and not so much of marketing.

I’m the operations manager at a company called Beneva International, but the name of our lifestyle and beauty e-commerce site is Beneva Black. We only operate online. What was the scope of their involvement?
R17 Ventures assists us with email customization, providing our customers with constant information about our new product launches, price specials, and weekly deals. They help us present our products in a fun and innovative way throughout various social media platforms. They've been especially helpful on Snapchat, where we have to be quite creative and young-minded.
They’re pretty much on top of all the new social media outlets; therefore, they know exactly what young people are asking for. Recently, we’ve added TikTok to our marketing strategy.

I work with Raphael (Founder), who does the briefing and directs me to the various employees. Amir (Senior Web Developer) and Shaquiel (Web Developer) have been our main points of contact when it comes to getting our e-commerce site launched.

The owner of R17 Ventures used to be the founder of Beneva Black. He sold the company and focused more on R17 Ventures. However, he was asked by the new owner to come back on board and be in charge of digital marketing because he knew both the product and the customer base very well.

Before, our marketing strategies were mismanaged by another company, but R17 Ventures has helped Beneva Black to get back on its feet and flourish again within a short period of time. It’s not even been a year, and we’ve already seen a big change in performance and sales, which was our ultimate goal.
Thanks to their help, our e-commerce site is now automatically translated into various languages. We’re quite optimistic about this because it’ll help us expand beyond Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Moreover, our clients will feel more comfortable using our products because they’ll be able to read the description in their own language.

Including a proper description of your customer base in the briefing helps R17 Ventures tremendously because they create their strategy based on that information. Therefore, it’s very important to know your customers’ age, gender, and maybe a few interests.
The more information you provide R17 Ventures with, the better and faster the outcome will be. Additionally, the more specific you are with them, the more likely they are to customize and cater the work to your needs.
