For what projects/services did your company hire Queppelin, and what were your goals?
We planned to develop a metaverse on one of the most popular metaverse platforms. They understood our requirements and we conducted multiple brainstorming and consultative sessions to chart out a well-planned strategy. We divided the whole plan into short goals to be covered in multiple phases. As of now, things are going on in the way they were planned. I hope, it will continue in the coming times ahead.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
The number one reason that I chose Queppelin was that my friend highly recommended them for metaverse development services. Not only are the prices reasonable, but the services are also of high standards. Secondly, I checked out their website and I was impressed by their clientele which included some big names like Facebook, Google, and Nissan. Moreover, they were also featured on Burj Khalifa on the basis of their services.

Queppelin was handed over with the duty of developing the land for our firm in the metaverse, carrying out constructions, creating 3D models of our products, and developing games that can be played in that metaverse. They were also responsible for exploring the NFTs for us to invest in and utilize in the metaverse.

The team comprises a Project manager, 3d modelers for characters as well as objects, python developers, and unreal engine WebGL experts.

Currently, Queppelin is working on the 3D models required for our project. These can be turned into NFT and put on sale on the NFT marketplace. The overall experience till now has been really great and worthwhile.

They utilized multiple communication channels for a project to facilitate rapid communication. In fact, in my experience, I found that Queppelin stands out in terms of maintaining good communication. This is because Queppelin appoints a dedicated SPOC for each project to facilitate speedy transmission that keeps the clients well-informed. They also seek timely feedback for course correction and I was really impressed by their dedication.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
There were two things that impressed me a lot. The first is the level of seriousness and dedication to the work. Everything was planned and fixed how they have to execute it. Second is the clarity of their communication keeps me well informed about the progress of the project.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
I think till now everything has been just fine, there were certain times when we went in different directions but that's totally fine as long as the solution is reached in the favor of the project. I will wait till the completion of the project to have any say on this aspect.

I’m the owner of a television entertainment company.

We needed help with an animation project.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We plan on having them complete the character and environmental design, as well as the animation for a comedy adventure project. It’s about little people that venture out on a trip to meet a music producer. Currently, we’re still in the pre-production phase, and they’re doing the 3D designs.
What is the team composition?
We work with 4–6 members of their team.
How did you come to work with Queppelin?
I found them on a freelancer platform. I read their reviews and did a bit of research. I decided they would be a pretty good company from that information.
How much have you invested with them?
I’ve spent $6,000–$7,000 so far.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in June 2020, and our work is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Currently, their work is really great. The quality is nice, and our communication is flowing smoothly. As of right now, we have no issues. People on my staff have given good feedback so far, but we’re all interested to see how the animation turns out. That’ll really be the tell-all, and the determining factor if the show gets picked up by a network.

I am an electronic music DJ who plays club and local one-off shows.
For what projects/services did your company hire Queppelin?
I hired Queppelin to create a total of five animation loops which can be used as concert visuals during my live sets.
What were your goals for this project?
My goal was to have visual content created which I can use to improve the total production I could offer in a set as a DJ.
How did you select this vendor?
I found Queppelin through Upwork when they responded to my job posting seeking 2D and 3D animators, and selected them based on the pricing they offered, feedback they received from previous clients, and their profile on Upwork, as well as their prompt communication.
Describe the scope of their work in detail.
The project began when Nick responded to my job inquiry describing his team, linking to some animation they've done in the past, and offering a promotion. I proceeded to introduce myself and the work I do as an audio and video DJ, and discuss what I'm looking for in the animation loops.
I had several themes in mind relating to my DJ'ing brand, but allowed for flexibility in manifesting that vision from the animation team. Nick then asked to set up a Skype meeting to further discuss, in which I provided more detail of what I was looking for, as well as details regarding file formats and software I use as a video DJ.
The initial project we decided on was the following (message taken from Upwork):
"So for the first loop, we agreed that your team will focus on medical imagery with an occult/dance spin, so your animators can choose from designing a loop of between 5 - 30 seconds with their choice of imagery of skulls, skeletons, bones, blood vessels, neurons to accompany music similar to this effect".
I then provided some examples of VDJ loops to serve as references. Nick's team then began working on the project and completed it within five days, at which point Nick sent me the result for my feedback and approval.
Being satisfied with the work Nick's team did on the first project, I then laid out four options for additional projects I'd be interested in receiving from them, and provided a Google Drive link with some reference images and videos I compiled for them. Nick's team at Queppelin completed the second and third project promptly.
They then completed a fourth project and provided an updated version of the third project incorporating feedback and revisions I requested. I received the fifth and final animation on September 16th, after which we ended our Upwork contract because of lack of additional funds for more projects on my part.
I provided a positive review for Nick and his team through Upwork and let him know I would be interested in working together again in the future.
What was the team composition?
I liasoned directly with Nick, who i believe is the founder and president of Queppelin. He added one team member to our chat in Upwork, though our communications predominantly continued back and forth between Nick and I. I also met another team member during one of few Skype calls we had.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Nick's team produced a total of five animation loops for me in the span of about a month. I was particularly satisfied with their work because the loops contained a generous range of content which I am able to chop up and create even more content and loops out of, and the projects were done at an unbeatable price.
Additionally, Nick remained prompt in communication and follow-up throughout the project and we continue to liason regularly.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
I found the workflow to be effective and was very satisfied with the speed of work and promptness of communication of Nick and his team at Queppelin.

I was most impressed by the competence and speed of their work for the price they offered.

Although I was and continue to be happy with the animations I received, particularly for the price I paid, some of the effects amd transitions used looked basic. I’m the founder and CEO of Tinggal, an online platform for budget hotels.
What challenge were you trying to address with Queppelin?
We needed help to develop and launch our web platform.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Queppelin helped us scope, build, and enhance our web platform. It’s a shared inventory platform for budget hotels in Indonesia that supports multiple languages and currencies. As a hotel site, it features a lot of high-resolution images, but the internet available in Indonesia isn’t that strong. One of the challenges was how to share high-resolution photos in a network with generally lower bandwidth.
The team also helped us build the entire recommendation engine that looks at past transactions, user behaviors, and the sequence of purchase. Along with that, Queppelin built all the backend services, the entire CRM platform, and site optimization. They developed the end-to-end platform and ensured that it is mobile-friendly.

There were 3–4 people I was regularly in touch with. The team behind them had 7–8 people on a full-time basis.
How did you come to work with Queppelin?
Someone who had previously worked with Queppelin referred us to them.

We worked together from January–September 2016.

We gave them a roadmap and timeline that Queppelin ultimately met. Post-launch, we measured their work in uptime, site speed, and load balancing. If there were any enhancements, those had different KPIs.
How did Queppelin perform from a project management standpoint?
Their project management was good. I’d give them 4.5 out of 5.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Queppelin had a very strong business sense. When we were recommending some enhancements, they actively gave us a customer perspective and encouraged us to look at the idea from a different angle, test it out, and see if it gets validated.
Since we didn’t have a CTO at that time, Queppelin was my go-to for technical guidance in a few interactions. They gave extremely neutral business advice that helped us structure the platform to be a lot more scalable from day one.

I am the director of engineering for Wudstay.
What challenge were you trying to address with Queppelin?
We were in a pre-launch phase and were looking for a tech partner who could guide us, conceptualize the tech architecture and handle all our development.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We wanted to develop our whole technology background, including our Java and PHP backend, which was to be used by employees and field agents. We also built a frontend customer website for desktop and mobile devices. Thirdly, we developed native mobile apps for iOS, Android and Windows Phone. We had the option of creating cross-platform apps, but chose native development, since that could give us more control over future updates. Queppelin was in charge of specifications listing, technical architecture, wireframing, design, and development.
The product is still in the support phase, and we’ve continued to add new elements to it such as coupons for customers or new payment gateways.
What is the team dynamic?
My job is to handle all tech development and pass on our requirements to Queppelin’s team. They took care of the implementation process. They assigned a team of 7–8 people for our project including a project manager and developers.

Since our backend was built predominantly in Java and PHP, we wanted a partner with a strong product development expertise, not just any app agency. Queppelin showed us some of their past work, including their technical expertise and methodology, which was a definite plus for them.
As a product company, our requirements change all the time, and we implement new features every 7 days. We needed to have confidence that our development team could implement those changes, and do it at a good pace. Pricing was another issue, since it was a large contract, originally for the development of the initial product, as well as for support.

The work so far has been great, and I have no complaints. As the director of engineering, I review all their work on a regular basis. I’m happy with the quality of code received.

How did Queppelin perform from a project management standpoint?
This has evolved over time, as we have a long relationship with Queppelin. The project management and development methodologies were criteria that we looked at before hiring them, and they have performed well.
A couple of their members have worked out of our office, and we’ve also had 5–6 of our members work from theirs. Since we are close by, we’ve communicated over the phone on an almost daily basis.
I’ve worked with their project manager on a daily basis and with the developers on a bi-weekly basis. On a monthly basis, I’ve had meetings with Queppelin’s founders to provide feedback on the methodology changes we require.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their product development experience is exceptional. Queppelin has been able to understand what we were trying to develop and made themselves an extension of our team.

Not particularly.

We connected for 3d modeling work. Their team came up with a complimentary & then a paid consultation after they understood my plans for this project. We phased out the entire project. Their consultation and business intelligence made my path clearer.

A friend in the domain suggested me as he used their services. He was impressed and I am impressed too. Initially I was reluctant to use them, as they were on the higher side of the commercials but still upon recommendation we started slow, saw the progress and eventually settled for the whole project. There are people in and around the world, but Queppelin’s availability at different times and prompt responses left me impressed.

The consultation and their communication is impressive. At times we differ on the opinion but we mutually decide the task in favor of the project. Slack, whatsapp, email, phone, discord – they are everywhere and help me in community building too.

We wanted to show transformation on the site...something fun and memorable. We hired Queppelin to design and implement the WebAR experience of these transformations. There are nine in all.

We searched a few freelance sites, ending up on Upwork. There were a few vying for the project. We landed with Queppelin due to their proof of experience in this field. Their quality showed in the portfolio.

They were to design, implement and deliver WebAR experiences to a Wordpress site. We started meeting regularly on Slack to generate the ideas and initial concepts.
As the team became aware of direction, the meetings turned into a display of the animations. Once animations were complete, the assets were turned over to a Wordpress developer who integrated the assets into the website.
