I’m the founder of Scene Creative, a marketing services company. We’re an experienced agency of web designers and strategists with a new approach to website creation that massively reduces the cost and time to deliver beautiful and effective sites. We expand our clients’ reach by setting up world-class digital marketing partners from our global partner network to help them level up their brand. Overall, we're a high-impact and low-investment partner.

What challenge were you trying to address with Pyxis Agency?

We had a job with one of our clients who needed branding for their company. We had a lot of projects, so we needed an agency to help us manage the project.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Pyxis Agency created emotional and aspirational mood boards, key patterns, colorways, fonts, and high-level linguistic tonal vibrance elements, proposed taglines and a brand story framework, and managed brand snapshots for us.

We did the brand story, value and messaging, brand pillars and values, mission statements, vision statements, brand promises, and tagline slogans. However, it's worth noting that the team also made logo impressions, logo development and presentation book, logo mark, and inspirations. Moreover, Pyxis Agency crafted brand guidelines and defined brand color fonts, iconography, color palettes and tints, sampler icons, and a header.

The team also handled all the business collaterals, including a business card, company letterhead template, email signature, email template, and HTML newsletter template. We used Canva templates, PowerPoint, and Google Docs for the project.

Five people worked on this project, including a project manager, two designers, and two coworkers.

How did you come to work with Pyxis Agency?

I had worked with them before, so I trusted them. However, a friend first referred them to me. I called them, and we discussed the project at hand on Slack. I spoke with the CEO personally and decided to engage them.

We spent $49,000.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The team successfully finished all deliverables on time. They were all in line with the brief. Pyxis Agency did an exceptional job. Their support was always available when changes were needed, and they were able to create additional resources as needed. Moreover, they were able to drive a high level of strategic guidelines all the way to the execution of the business collateral, ensuring that the message was consistent and coherent.

This was particularly important for products like ours; we needed to make it simple, and they did it perfectly well. Overall, their marketing skills are outstanding. I saw nothing bad in their work. I just had to tell them what I wanted, and they delivered the work.

I had worked with other companies before, but no customers were calling me, and there were no results. However, as soon as I hired Pyxis Agency, things changed for the better.

How did Pyxis Agency perform from a project management standpoint?

As I mentioned, Pyxis Agency delivered on time and communicated using Slack and WhatsApp. In fact, the communication was great because once they finished a particular piece of work and made a particular progress, they immediately called us to tell us how it was going. This helped our collaboration with them because we knew each and every stage of the project and the next stage it would enter.

What did you find most impressive about them?

What I found most exceptional about Pyxis Agency was their ability to inquire more. They didn’t depend on their knowledge; they always asked us if we had anything we wanted them to add or remove. They were always ready to learn and ready to execute our project, no matter what it was.

Once I gave them a project and some guidelines I could leave the rest to them. At the end of the day, when I finished the work, they delivered amazing results. Kudos to them, and keep up the good work. They are good at what they do.

In fact, one of the designers was truly talented, and I loved his work. Nonetheless, everybody on the team performed well; it was amazing.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They can communicate more perfectly. There was an occasion that I couldn't reach Pyxis Agency for a week straight. It was an unfortunate glitch in their system. The advice remains: they should try to communicate more.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

We wanted to experiment with more vertical targeting so we needed to understand which verticals would make sense to us to focus on. They conducted market research using industry listening tools, interviews, and secondary research to gain insights into the pains and aspirations of HR professionals working in the shortlisted industries. 
By identifying which industry's HR professional had the most to gain for using our solution, they were able to help us narrow down which industries to focus our marketing and account-based strategies off of. They also designed an integrated marketing strategy consisting of Thought-leadership PR, Content Marketing, and Social Media using the insights we've learned from the research they did.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our sales have grown by about 15-20% YOY with no increase in marketing spend. Current marketing channels were more effective after targeting the verticals that Pyxis suggested.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

They originally arranged to meet weekly but because of a few delays on our end, occasionally we wouldn't have much to go over during our weekly meetings. Instead we decided to only schedule meetings when they had deliverables for us.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

You can tell that they knew their stuff. When we worked with agencies in the past, what they would do for us seems pretty standard. When talking to these guys, they were able to make recommendations based on current industry trends and tell us why. It just seems like they know what they know based on real experience.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Pyxis Agency could have done differently?

No, I would recommend them to anybody.
